1. Higgins’ Potterdale Highland Plus at Allachoy. Slate/white of just 6 months with masculine expressive head developing, well set ears, strong muzzle, good layback of shoulder, straight forelegs, strong neck, sound proportions of body and leg, he could be firmer in his top-line and he was really unsettled on the move today but I’m sure this will improve with time and maturity.

1. Delaney’s Rollo De Maeluma at Arranbrae (imp ESP). Liked this 11½ month old male for his masculinity, he had a lovely expressive strong head with strength in his muzzle and underjaw, his skull was broad and flat, well muscled neck leading into a correct front assembly, he had depth to his brisket even at this young age, a little long in body for total balance but he moved out with an effortless easy stride and was presented in excellent coat and condition.

2. Long’s Talraz Signs of Spring at Bearbria. Well presented male of 16 months who, for me, had the better proportions than 1, masculine head with lovely eye toning well with his coat, broad skull and strong muzzle, well muscled neck leading into pleasing shoulder placement, good length of rib, he moved out well in profile but he could have been tidier going away in the rear, today he was carrying too much weight which affected his overall performance.

1. Ryan’s Gallus Midas Touch into Razkal JW. Brown male of 21 months presented in lovely condition with coat developing well, he has a broad skull with expressive eye and strong muzzle, just a shade long for my preference, well laid back shoulder, straight forelegs, good depth to his brisket and well ribbed back with firm level top-line, moved out with decent reach and drive in profile, would just like him tidier on the out and back.
2. Buswell’s Chelsasa Private Eye on Scotesham. Another male of 21 months where I preferred the head and proportions on 1, straight forelegs, well muscled neck but he was a little steep in his shoulder placement, he had good body proportions of body to leg and some depth to his brisket, good ribbing, lacked reach and drive on the move.
