Italian Spinone Club Of Great Britain

Breed: Italian Spinone

Italian Spinone Club of Great Britain Championship Show 1st November 2026

I was delighted to be invited the judge the special awards at the Club’s championship show. Thank you for affording me the opportunity. The show was at an untested venue due to a last minute venue change as a result of a double booking. However everything happens for a reason and the new venue was great. Spacious and even a secure paddock for exercising dogs. The show was Halloween themed and the venue and exhibitors were dressed accordingly. I had the pleasure of judging the fancy dress competition which was a hoot. The most extravagant buffet was out on for exhibitors and I was most spoilt with some wonderful gifts. Thanks are extended to my stewards and exhibitors for my super entry of 24.

Junior Handling

1. Aubrey Brown. Always good to see youngsters learning the ropes. It is just a shame we do not have a few more young handlers having a go. Aubrey is a promising handler and made a very good job of showing a larger breed of dog and maintained control at all times. She very effectively walked her dog into a stand. Aubrey knew the age of her dog and moved her confidently around the ring. One small learning point is that Aubrey should not be afraid to talk to her dog to give her encouragement when moving her. Well done and best of luck in the future.
