Driffield Championship Dog Show

This was a nice entry for a show with no CCs. I was delighted to get my hands on such lovely dogs, thank you.

SBD (1) 1 and BSBIB Smiths Ancksunamun Host Of Goa'uld With Yecartracey a well boned 20mth brindle point tri of good size and overall shape, he has a handsome head and large well set ears, strong neck and well developed front, with a good ribcage and excellent topline, a sound mover but could have a little more reach in front. Well presented and handled

VD (1) 1 Taylor and Taylor’s Ch Hanskes Just A Gigolo At Tamlin (Fin Imp) VW this 11yr old brindle who I have judged before and liked is a fantastic example of longevity in the breed, he has a clean and balanced outline with impressive muscletone for his age, handsome foxy head with width to skull, dark well placed eyes and large ears, excellent front with plenty of forechest and depth to chest, well developed ribcage and firm topline to long foxbrush tail, he is well angulated behind and stands on strong parallel hocks. There is still so much strength in his movement and he propels himself well from behind. MPD (3) 1 and BPIB Irving’s Twinan Dragon Rider, 8 mth black brindle/white with huge bone and a strong well made body, masculine foxy head with large rounded ears and dark eye giving such a kind expression, forelegs are short and strong but feet currently just turn out a fraction more than ideal, he has a well developed front with a long body and well sprung ribs, topline is firm to a lovely foxbrush tail and on the move he goes forward soundly driving well from behind. I have judged him recently and today could see just how well he is maturing, a lovely specimen. 2 Pike and Carters Tamlin Double Dunked At Breezelyn 8 mths brindle/white, slightly shorter on the leg than the winner but beautifully presented and handled. He is not as developed in head as 1st but I loved the expression coming from his dark eyes, he has a strong neck leading to well laid shoulders and ample depth of chest for his age, topline is firm and held on the move and he moves out soundly all ways 3 Taylor and Taylor’s Tamlin The Big Easy

PD (2) 1 Twinan Dragon Rider (As MPD) 2 Jordans Gowerston Gunsmoke With Jakovall 8 mth blue merle, a well grown boy with good bone and substance, slightly higher on the leg than the winner, proportionate head with medium sized well placed eyes, strong neck and good shoulders, not quite as well developed in front as the winner but standing on good sized round feet, good topline and well angulated quarters and moving out soundly around the ring

OD (3) 1 and BD, BOB, BVIB Taylor Taylor & Michals Pol Ch Ch Dom Corgi Easy Boost (Imp Pol) 7 yr brindle, This is a cracking specimen whose coat and body condition belied his age completely. Strongly boned, sturdily built and well balanced, lovely foxy head which is undeniably masculine with good width to skull and large well set ears, strong body of good length with prominent forechest and well sprung ribs, muscular and well developed in the rear with a good bend of stifle and on the move he goes freely and steadily reaching well in front and sound as a pound behind. Hard to fault him today and I was pleased to award him BOB and BVIB. 2 and RBD Irvines Twinan True Grit JW 20mth brindle/white very well balanced on the stack with a handsome foxy head and strong neck, well boned with good foot placement and well developed front for his age with good prosternum and depth of chest and a strong level topline to a well set and well carried tail, shows plenty of reach and drive in profile but could tighten up a little behind. 3 Fox Gowerston Granville

MPB (2,1) 1 Taylor and Taylor Tamlin Easy Choice 6 mth brindle point tri, a smart b with ample bone and substance and making a pleasing outline on the stack, attractive head with moderate stop and medium eye giving a kind expression, moderate length of neck into well laid shoulders and ample depth of chest for her age, pleasing topline and shapely hindquarters, moved out confidently.

PB (2,1) 1 Taylor and Taylor’s Tamlin Mom's Rum Cake 8 mth brindle/white who is an excellent mover for her age, she has an attractive head with ample width of skull and moderate stop although I would have liked slightly larger ears, forelegs are well boned to good feet and shoulders are well placed, she has a good length of ribcage under a firm topline and a defined waist. Tail is long and set on correctly and on the move she goes forward soundly and accurately displaying good front reach and strength from the rear.

LB (2) 1 Downs Elessar Eclipse The Stars JW an attractive brindle with a pleasing outline and short strong legs but giving plenty of ground clearance, I would have liked a little more strength to her head but she has good ears and a watchful expression coming from her well placed eyes and a clean neck flowing into well placed shoulders, well proportioned body with a good depth of brisket, defined waist and nicely angulated in the rear, preferred her front movement to that of 2 Smiths Smiths Ceranda Gower Diamond JW, I thought this b was slightly better developed head than the winner and she is well made all through with a strong neck, good forechest and well fitting elbows, ribs are well sprung and topline firm and she has a good bend of stifle. In profile she moves out well holding her topline but coming to is a little untidy in front.

OB (4,1) 1 and BB Taylor and Taylor’s Ch Chris Team (fci) Bakalia For Tamlin (imp Pol) JW 3 yr sturdy looking brindle with a super outline and well proportioned body, head is feminine but still with width to skull and proportionate length of muzzle, she is well developed in front with a good lay of shoulder and tidy elbows, hindquarters are muscular and well angulated with well sprung ribs and good depth to chest but could be just a little firmer in topline , however this did level out as she went around the ring. I really liked her sound and free movement and she drives out well from behind. 2 and RBB Downs Elessar Blue Diamond JW a 4 yr B/M who is well boned and carrying enough body condition, this girls head appealed for her femininity and expression, she has a strong but rather elegant neck and stands on excellent feet, good forechest and depth of chest with neat elbows and a level topline held on the move, I liked her very much in profile, she wasn’t giving her all on the move in the class but went much better in the challenge to take RBB over her kennel mate 3 Irving Twinan Truly Outrageous Jw
