SPANISH WATER DOGS – WELKS 25/04/2026 I really enjoyed my judging appointment for this breed today. Some lovely dogs, maybe not all perfect but really good representatives of the breed and pleased to say, coat preparation was excellent all through. VD (1) Abrahams Adormidera Ziggy Star Dust VW black dog who I found to be well muscled all through, body just longer than high creating a balanced outline, very good front with straight forelegs and compact feet, excellent spring of rib and firm topline with moderately angulated hindquarters, very sound in profile but just a tad close behind on the away PD (1) 1 Affleck-Carter Martez De Guardian De Los Suenos Entre Perrorizado a promising 8mth youngster who just looks a tad long currently but he still needs to fill his frame, he stands well enough in front on ample bone and compact feet and he has a good lay of shoulder with moderate hind angulation but needs to strengthen a little in topline, moved out well in profile JD (1) 1 Capilles Lendever's Man among Men, a very smart boy with a super head and expression, excellent front with a good lay of shoulder and neat elbows, ample depth of chest and a firm topline, he is an excellent mover particularly in profile where he gaited out smoothly and with good drive, certainly worth another look in the challenge. PG (1) Slaymakers Perrorizado San Andres for Salvajero this boy has a very good head shape with flat skull and slight stop, eyes are dark and ears well set, shoulders are well laid and topline firm with ample depth of chest and moderate hind angulation, a little more condition and muscletone would complete the picture. OD (2) Two very good moving dogs here and I am sure they have and will change places on many occasions, I just preferred the outline and height to length ratios of the winner. 1 and BD, BOB and G4 Hodgkinson-Rutherford & Rutherford Sh Ch Zorrazo Hey There Yogi Bear, a handsome boy, pleasing in head with flat skull and medium oval eye, good body proportions with strong neck, well laid shoulders and standing on straight forelegs and tight feet, he has good depth to his chest with brisket reaching to elbows and well sprung ribs, his thighs are muscular and well developed, presented in good woolly coat and covering the ground soundly and briskly 2 and RBD Tkaczyk Sh Ch Janamorio Northern Arlo. Brown/white dog presented in fabulous coat, good head shape with flat skull and slight stop, short strong neck into well laid shoulders with plenty of fill in front and a good depth of chest, well developed in the rear and moving out easily with plenty of drive. Easy to understand why these 2 lovely specimens are titled. VB (1) 1 and BVIB Page and Robinson Zorrazo Xquisite Croatian Perl at Deltoroesta (Imp Hrv) there is lots to like about this brown/white girl and she is very well proportioned in both head and body and so nice to go over, skull is flat and eyes dark and expression, she has a strong neck and stands true in front on good legs and compact feet, ribs are well sprung and chest deep, topline is firm and strong and held on the move. What you see is what you get here and I was pleased to award her BVIB today. PB (2) 1 and RBB, BPIB, PG4 Capilles Lendever's Time to Shine this b/w b is an absolute stunner both stacked and on the move, gorgeous head with oval eyes giving such an appealing expression, short strong neck, prominent withers and a good lay of shoulder, she has a very good front with straight bone and tight round feet, body is developing well with correct height to covering the ground briskly but smoothly, adult coat is still to come through fully but I just loved her type, confidence, showmanship and attitude and she really pushed hard for BB today. One whose career I will watch with interest 2 Page and Robinsons Deltoroesta Lady of The Lake a lovely confident puppy with a super temperament, not quite as developed in head as the winner but its definitely coming along nicely and she has a super keen expression coming from well placed eyes, she has ample bone and well placed shoulders and is moderately angulated behind, not quite as together in front movement as the winner but lots to like here. JB (0) PGB (3) 1 Abrahams Fivenineplus Azahara by Adormidera this 2 yr black girl is so solid to go over with an attractive well proportioned head, flat skull and moderate stop, eyes are dark and expressive and she is well constructed in front with a good lay of shoulder, straight forelegs and neat round feet, well developed in the rear with broad muscular quarters and strong hocks, accurate on the move with good rear drive holding her topline 2 Affleck-Carter Guardian De Los Sueños Vida (Imp Esp) brown/white feminine girl who showed good balance and proportions, beautiful head and eye with close fitting ears, moderate length of neck into withers and a good lay of shoulder, good fill to front , deep chest, good spring of rib and well developed hindquarters, pushed hard for the class but I just preferred the rear action of the winner 3 Cloughs Perrorizado Isla Zuaza OB (6,3) 1 and BB Hodgkinson-Rutherford & Rutherford Sh Ch Doji Smogetsu Twinkle You Tinkerbell at Chanderhill (Imp Fin) beautiful girl presented in super coat and condition, well balanced and proportionate with a feminine head and dark oval eye, strong muscular neck into well placed shoulders and deep through the chest with a firm topline and strong loin, well set tail and broad hindquarters, such an easy and accurate mover 2 Abrahams Cravessa's Right On The Dot by Adormidera this brown/white girl gives a good account of herself on the move, she has feminine well proportioned head, strong neck and a firm level topline to good croup and muscular hindquarters but I would have liked a little more forechest and spring of rib, 3 Cloughs Perrorizado Isla Zuaza Bridgette Bodle
