Driffield Championship Dog Show

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier

SBD (1) Tonks Vevester Walk This Way a 3 yr white/tan with a reasonable head shape and clean almond eye although his ears could be carried better, spannable body with a firm topline, good front and neat oval feet, strides out well in profile but a bit wide behind on the away, well presented with correct coat texture.

VD (3,1) 1 and BVIB Thornley & Smith Locheil Stop Right There VW, a muscular and lithe 8 yr white/tan with a well proportioned head, defined stop and dark almond eye, nicely made all through with a good lay of shoulder and spannable body slightly longer than high with well sprung ribs and a firm topline, well angulated in the rear and such a smart mover covering the ground with good drive 2 McCabes Krisbos Jellybean a 10 yr old white and tan smooth coat in lovely condition all through although a tad higher on the leg than the winner, he has a true front and neat oval feet, good depth of chest and well sprung ribs with ample bend of stifle, curls his tail over a little on the move but sound and easy all ways

MPD (3,1) 1 and BPIB Rutherford and Klimova Jackandfish Scene Stealer (imp Ita) a 7 mth white and tan, such a smart boy showing himself of well on the stack and beautifully handled to show off the best of him, his head is developing well and he has a lovely almond eye that emits a cheeky glint and he uses his ears to enhance this. He is perhaps currently just a fraction long in body but has plenty of time for development, easily spannable with a firm topline, short loin and good bend of stifle and striding out easily with excellent tail carriage. He still needs to come together a little more behind but a very promising puppy nevertheless. 2 Mc Cabe Krisbos Knockin On Heaven's Door a very raw 6 mth white/tan but lots to appreciate and full of character with a cheeky glint in his eye, he has a clean neck and well laid shoulders, body is slightly longer than high and he holds a good topline both stacked on the move but I would have liked a slightly better tail set. Quite well together on the move.

PD (2) 1 Krisbos Knockin On Heaven's Door 2 Thornley and Smith Tiltser Bergerac 11mth white and tan presented in good harsh coat, he has a well proportioned head with flat skull, almond eye and strong jaw, neck is strong and of good length and he stands true in front on well boned forelegs and oval feet, spannable and lithe body with plenty of rib and ample hind angulation but rather close behind on the away

PGD (4,1) Three nice looking dogs in the stack but movement played a big part in their placings 1 Thornley and Smith Tiltser Take It To The Limit a 21mth white and tan who was the best mover in this class, whilst I found him a fraction longer in muzzle than ideal he is generally well proportioned with good height to length ratios and standing true in front on well boned forelegs and good feet, he has ample forechest for his age and strong backline to high set tail, on the move he is active and smooth and moves true all ways 2 Clayton’s Northdrum Highland Prince a 21 mth white/tan with a well proportioned spanable body but just a fraction shorter in leg than the winner and I would have liked a fraction more neck, he has a good spring of rib, level topline and short loin, strong hindquarters and well let down hocks, carries himself quite nicely in the move but not quite the smooth action of the winner 3 Richardson and Woods Laserna's Imagine Dragons In Cooperland

LD (4) 1 and BD, BOB Horwoods Pentatty Baga Chipz a 2 yr white/tan with a captivating character, super smart on the stack with a lovely head and bright keen expression, spannable body just longer than high with an excellent front, well laid shoulders allowing for elbows to be placed under the body, ample forechest and good depth of chest, strong and firm topline both stacked and in motion. He is an exceptional mover going forward smoothly and accurately with good rear drive and I was pleased to award him BOB today. He put on an equally good performance in the group and I was delighted to see him shortlisted by Tom Mather. 2 and RBD Jones Laserna Captain Crash Jw a 19mth white/tan and one I have admired from a distance, he also has a super well proportioned head and keen expression, I liked his clean neck and well made front with good shoulders, strong straight forelegs and neat feet, he has a well proportioned with plenty of ground clearance and a firm backline with short loin, hindquarters are muscular with a good bend of stifle and he too moves out soundly and freely. Just pipped for the class by the slightly stronger rear action of the winner but a very worthy RBD. 3rd Irving’s Twinan Silver Dollar

OD (3,2) 1 Ryans Saredon Modern Times a 2.5 yr white/tan with a very nice head and keen alert expression, strong neck and well made front with good bone and neat feet, he has enough forechest with depth to chest, neat elbows and is firm in topline and loin. I have judged him before and loved him but disappointingly today he was carrying far too much coat which made him look rather square in body spoiling his outline.

JB (1) Clayton’s Northdrum Monopoly a 12 mth white/tan who is quite smart on the stack, she has an attractive head with dark eye and well set ears, neck is of moderate length into an ample lay of shoulder and she stands true in front, body is spannable and topline level but she needs to develop a little more spring of rib, sound in the move with good tail carriage

PGB (1) 1 and RBB Kay and Smiths Jackopeaks Peaches Legacy 2 yr white/tan with a nicely proportioned body balanced by length of leg, she has an attractive head with dark eye, bright expression and neat ears held close, topline is firm to a correctly set and well carried tail, I would have liked just a fraction more hind angulation but she moves out actively and freely with a good length of stride.

LB (2) 1 BB and BB Tate and Nagrecha Jaeva Front Row Seat To Chandlimore a gorgeous 20mth white/tan with a beautiful head and dark almond eye giving a bright and alert expression, she presents such a lovely outline, is very well proportioned and carrying a harsh well conditioned coat to complete the picture, forelegs are straight and well boned to neat feet, it was good to feel some forechest on her which appears to be lacking in many exhibits and she has a good depth of chest with oval ribcage and spannable body, nicely angulated in the rear with strong straight hocks and moving out with accuracy and plenty of drive. Pleased to award her BB today 2 Evans Jackpack Picture Perfect 2.5 yr old white/tan who presents a pleasing outline and I found her to be well proportioned in both head and body, she is well muscled all through with a good depth of chest, firm topline and shapely underline with well angulated quarters, front pasterns could be a fraction stronger but she is sound and accurate on the move and strides out well.
