I thoroughly enjoyed judging your breed today, it was much stronger than the last time I judged them. Most of the classes were a joy to judge and I was spoilt for choice. Temperaments were fabulous as you would expect in a Cavalier, even with the fire alarm going off during the minor puppy bitch class.

Moderate length of neck, well laid shoulders and clean front. He is short coupled with a nice spring of rib. Sound front and rear. Moved out well. Lively showman. Coat could be a touch more broken for ideal.

Correct head to muzzle ratio's, shallow stop and a well tapered muzzle. He has a strong neck and level back. He has a super spring of rib and has firm muscle tone throughout. A touch longer in body than 1st and can carry his tail just a smidgen too high at times but a very accurate mover in both directions.

1st Place - Brymarden Flawless Blush (Dr E & Dr S Rathbone & Pal) - A very smart young Blen that never stopped showing. Gorgeous well broken coat that was soft and silky to touch. Loved his head; flattish skull, high set ears that were well feathered, correct length of muzzle and with plenty of fill under the eye. Strong neck leading to a compact body with good spring of rib. Excellent front and rear. Moved with style around the ring with perfect foot fall. I liked him a lot and was in my mind when it came to the big green cards.
2nd Place - Calonlan Zeus JW (Mrs C A & Mr A M & Miss L J Rhodes) - 22 months, Tri. Another typey ckcs here. He seemed a little unsettled today, I think due to banging in the background. I liked his head and expression. Soundly made throughout. Quality spring of rib. Short coupled body with a well set on tail. Although is coat was nicely presented, it could perhaps be a little more broken up.

13806- Ch Lovetrac Banksy (Mr P F Lovel) - The star of the day! CC & BoB. The most beautiful Blen that ticked all my boxes today. His outline is perfect; well balanced, graceful and correct size. Masculine head, but definitely a bit of a 'pretty boy'. Flattish skull, high set ears that were beautifully feathered , large dark round eyes with fill under them, correct length of muzzle and it tapers well. Moderate length of neck with slight arch. Short coupled body with good spring of rib. Sound straight front with nice bone. His rear is nicely angulated with firm muscle tone. He carries his tail perfectly at all times. He moves freely and soundly around the ring maintaining his wonderful shape. His well broken coat was presented to perfection. Well handled. Loved his happy temperament. Delighted to award him top honours.
2nd place - Ch Ellemich American Express (Mrs M & Miss T Chapman & Ireland)- Nice to be reacquainted with this well-known lad. Having had the opportunity to go over him a few times now, today I felt he looked the best I've seen him. The most divine head and expression, textbook! Loved his neck and well laid shoulders. Not as short coupled as 1st, but has a super spring of rib. Excellent front and rear. He moves with style, so sound in both directions. His well broken coat was soft, silky and presented to the highest standard. Today, I preferred the topline of 1st. Such a worthy champion and fully deserving of all his amazing accolades. No hesitation in awarding him the RCC.

1st Place - Kilbarchan's Moonwalker at Hamhoggs VW (Mrs F & Mr D Hamilton & Hogg) - This Blen lad was rock hard with muscle tone throughout. I liked his head and expression. His high set ears were furnished immaculately. In fact, he was beautifully presented all over. Not the smallest of lads, and could be a touch shorter in back. Moved true in both directions. Well-handled and schooled,
2nd Place - Jomaki Gospel Bill (Miss E Wragg)- 9.5 years, Tri. This old lad gave me a bit of a headache, he was entered in a lot of previous classes. At his age, the veteran class would have been sufficient for him and he would have probably enjoyed himself more. Not a bad type, and he has a good outline. Please keep him for the veteran class and not every class he is eligible for.

1st place - Verheyen Coral at Craigowl (Mr G & Mrs N Inglis)- If I were to take any home today this little lass would have been my choice! Utterly adorable 6 month old Ruby at her very first show, and what a testimony to her temperament; totally unphased with the evacuation because of the fire alarm - she was composed and confident! Pretty as a picture in the head department; large dark round eyes, correct length of muzzle and high set ears. Good length of neck leading to a short coupled body, with the correct tail set and carriage. Coming towards she was so parallel , perfect foot fall for one so young.
