Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at one of my all time favourite societies. I have judged, spectated and exhibited at this show many times over the decades and I hope that I will return again in the future. Thank you to my excellent Stewards, Samantha and (my daughter) Emily for keeping the ring running smoothly and handing out the many gifts. It was pleasure to be here alongside my co-judges, Steve Rooney and Angela Grey. A special mention to Richard Morrison for inviting Emily to steward for BIS and his superb mentoring.

There are some exciting exhibits in this breed and it was a real pleasure, and honour to be asked my opinion.

1. Ch. Lynpix The Mexican With Becanna, BVD, BVIB. I last judged this male when his was just 6mths, I remember being mesmerised by his fabulous movement and at 11 years he still has it. A little older, not as stubborn and with nothing to prove, he is a lovely example of a champion of the breed. His head is just beautiful. Sadly a little tired by BIS which cost him but still got some compliments from my Co judge Mrs A Grey said about him. RBVIS

2. Ch Jotolemar Dangerous Times With Dacatelo Jw At 8yrs Another great example and worthy Champion, a pleasure to judge him and fully appreciate his qualities. Showed lovely for his young gentle handler. A generation of dogs that have made their mark on this fabulous breed.

1. Rubyanlo Mr Majestic, RBPD Dainty red male, exquisite head and showmanship. Lovely soft coat coming and has the expected feathering at this age. Super dentition. Strong head. Compact body with a natural tail set, carried correctly and happy showman.

2. Kirlasidh Speed Bonnie Boat Another with a lovely soft coat and correct feathering. Rangier overall than 1. Head not yet as defined. Moved well and showed lovely.

1. Happy King ** (Bc3), BPD Whilst I hope he has stopped growing, I cannot deny this dog has a beautiful head and expression. Beautiful large flaring ears with correct fringing. Nice substance and body mass. He moved with drive and showed his socks off. He is well bodied with a good coat. Straight top line and correct tail set. Moving nicely. Clearly has a good partnership with his handler.

2. Starceylon Foinavon At Collooney Profile is pleasant, straight top line and good length of neck. Tail set well and carried over back. Very nice head properties and saucy expression. A typically stubborn Chihuahua attitude.

1. Monicachi Money Talks At Beaulamey, CC, BOB, BIS My star of the day. What a showman. This young male has captivating ring presence and oozes quality. Unbeatable in showmanship. Super construction. The most delightful expression, with correct moderate muzzle and perfect stop. Correct scissor bite and strong dentition. Large, dark round eye with large fringed ears. Slightly arched neck, spirit level top line and tail set carried to compliment his silhouette . Brisk, forceful movement with good distance fore and aft, carrying a good depth in chest and in profile I couldn’t take my eyes off him. Superb angulation. His size is ideal, he carries ideal weight and overall substance. His coat is soft and feathering plentiful without hiding his assets. Handled to get the very best out of him and presented Immaculately. Not surprised to learn that he recently gained his Ch. title.

2. Chirouxe Black Tie A very good showman presented down in excellent condition. Unfortunate to meet 1. A Smart showman , can’t be ignored. He possesses a lovely head and saucy expression, jet black pigment. Moderate neck and level top line. Correct tail set and carriage. Smart profile and ideal size.

1. Chirolin Magic Strike At Correct Glamourous, Mature male who is a pleasure to examine. Correct, strong dentition. He has strong head attributes and saucy expression. Presented with a good coat with correct feathering and in fabulous condition. He has a grand profile , with straight front set well under chests and moves soundly. Confident showman with a gentle disposition. Today gaining his last points for a well deserved JW. Congratulations.

2. Tidos Dark Destroyer Dainty male, showing himself off well, lots to like about him. He doesn’t have the strong head of 1. Moves nicely and presents a nice side profile.

1. Tidos Pumpkin Pie Dainty male. He has the most delightful head and expression. Ideal moderate muzzle with large round eye and dark pigment, definite stop. Ears are large and correctly set. Level top line and tail set well. Moderate neck and level top line with good tail. Small and dainty and shy of coat.

2. Rubyanlo Tommy Hilfiger Of Talocan Jw Similar notes to 1 apply . Preferred head on 1st. Full of character and delightful. Not a lot to choose between these two.

1. Bramerita Mr Motown With Bratilda This good looking male pleased me a lot upon examination. He carries a good coat, put down in excellent condition. Underneath he carries a strong body and depth of chest. He has an exquisite expression and head attributes, correct scissor bite and strong dentition . Movement fore and aft is good. Unsettled in the venue today and this was disappointing as he lacked confidence on the move. He didn’t drop his tail, which is set and carried rather lovely. A little more confidence and he will be hard to beat.

2. Chirouxe Little Things Maciendas Similar looking and qualities to 1 . Honest showman doing exactly as his handler asks. Good head attributes with dark pigment. Moves ok. 1 possessing the better expression for me.

1. Ch Rubyanlo Dream Boy, RCC This Blk Tri is very handsome. Carrying a good coat covering ideal body weight. Ideal size and superb showmanship . Excellent dentition, as did all in this kennel, and correct scissor bite. Just enough muzzle and true saucy expression, definite stop, large round eye and beautiful apple dome skull. Good depth to his chest allowing for free brisk movement. Good neck and spirit level top line. Tail set and carried correctly. An honest showman, doesn’t put a foot wrong and completely at one with his young handler.

2. Ch Natimuk Beaumont. I admired this dog in his prime from afar. A pleasure to get to judge him today, now 7 years he can still hold his own in a strongly contested Open class. Moving briskly and keeping a lovely shape. He has a typical head and expression and overall attributes one would expect. Delightful temperament. Correct coat. Carrying good body weight. In youthful condition.

1. Bramerita Im A Traitor. Blk Tri. Delightfully naughty and fun, as she should be at this age. My notes say an exciting little pup, full of beans. Good head with saucy expression, a good scissor bite and strong dentition. Her tail is held naturally. So much fun.

1. Tidos Cherry Pip, BVB Delightful 8 yrs veteran, so happy and saucy. A little beauty. Showing like a puppy. Correct head shape and attributes , dark pigment. In good coat and condition.

2. Bronteana Maleficent Queen Of Rubyanloq 10 yr and a typical Chihuahua . Carrying a good coat. Good heat and attributes. Handled gently.

12. MINOR PUPPY BITCH 7

1. Bramerita Priceless, BPB, BPIB, BPIS. There will always be a younger dog pecking at the heels of big winners, and here she is. A clear contestant in the challenge I allowed maturity to win over her today, but watch out! The most reliable attitude and temperament, keeping her handler on their toes. She will mature in to a sturdy and dainty correctly coated , ideal size adult. Stunning head and attributes already. Correct scissor bite and strong dentition. Nice reach of neck, level top line and excellent tail set carried perfectly. She moved briskly but a little erratic, although during the long day she settled and looked even better. A star of the very near future without a doubt.

2. Bramerita Posy Of Violets At Silverchi, RBPB, RBPIB, RBPIS Litter sister to 1 and will be following her sister to top honours. A much calmer personality, yet still a superb show girl. 2nd today because I prefer a more refined muzzle, personal preference and not directed to be negative. Super mouth, eye, ears and overall head attributes. Good substance while remaining dainty. Has as much to offer a judges eye as 1. An exciting pair.

1. Chantico Black Diamond Of Talocan (Ikc) A very nice puppy, coming up against incredibly strong competition. A lovely shape overall, and carries a good body with ideal coat. She moves nicely and is an excellent showgirl. Her head is typical with ideal muzzle, definite stop, large eye and large ear. I can’t think of anything I’d change about her as she is a feminine typical Chihuahua, incredibly sound and has top class head attributes.

2. Silverchi Name That Tune Another quality pup, pleasing on the eye. Pretty head with correct attributes. Carrying a good body and rear angulation. Moves nicely. Needs to strengthen in front.

1. Chirouxe Fame With Roovena Beautiful chocolate colour, coat in excellent condition. She has a typical head with correct attributes. Level top line and clean angulation. Confident showgirl.

2. Valkiria Malkanorah Of Kircyan (Imp) An glamorous girl, not yet as mature as 1 in body or substance. Head is developing and she has stunning ears complimented by lovely fringing. Tail is carried with confidence and compliments her top line. Full of joy but a little stubborn on the move so difficult to assess.

15. GRADUATE BITCH 8 (1)

1. Jotolemar Time To Shine Blue Won this class on movement. Carrying an ideal coat and fringing. Correct size. She has a good head shape and attributes, with good dentition. Moving with a good rear and front action standing with nice angulation .

2. Rubyanlo Next Top Model Correct size , exuberant showgirl. Her head and expression are her best asset. Super dentition.

1. Rubyanlo Knock Your Sox Off A real eye catcher and the happiest showgirl. She possesses the correct head attributes saucy expression with gorgeous large ears and feathering. Slightly arched neck which compliments her level top line and excellent tail set and carriage. Dainty with ample substance and ideal coat, alert and swift moving commanding attention.

2. Bramerita Natural Blonde Liked a lot about this girl. Beautiful head with strong attributes. Liked her overall shape and size. Moved well. Not the showmanship of 1.

1. Jotolemar Evie Time For Fun, RCC I couldn’t deny this girl. I really like what she presented. Slightly longer in muzzle than my other winners, although still moderate. Definite stop, strong round eye that she used to grab my attention, dark pigment and large ears, correctly set with feathering. An honest mover for and aft, keeping a good shape in profile and keeping good angulation when stood. Carrying a good coat with good substance beneath. I would happily of owned and shown this girl in my heyday.

2. Rubyanlo Miss Molly Compact and dainty, holding a good profile. Correct skull shape and large ears. Dark pigment and large round eye. Moved ok.

1. Ch Bramerita Little Red Head, CC, RBOB, RBIS A little stunner, I love her expression, beautiful round eye and jet black pigment, moderate muzzle, definite stop. Large ears set correctly. Correct scissor bite with strong dentition. A moderate neck leading to a good top line and superb tail set and carriage. Just love her size and overall shape and substance. Moving briskly and confident. Her coat is flat and soft and in super condition. Beaten for B.O.B on stamina.

2. Ch Monicachi Queen Of Diamonds Jw An undeniably top quality girl, I preferred the refined muzzle of 1, definite stop, large dark round eye and large ears correctly set. Moving briskly, eye catching and good front and rear. In good coat covering a sturdy yet dainty body. Not surprised she is a champion. At one with her handler and eager to please.
