Adult Handling Day 1.

17-30 Years Entries (6) Abs (3)

1st Ciccely Cox handling a Lakeland Terrier, very smart handler, needs polish but has great potential, her table placement was off slightly but a great rapport with her dog. 2nd Jemma Jennings with a maltese Terrier, a little untidy, needs to work on the balance between walking the dog and showing the dog off, you've got it girl so flaunt it, you have so much ability so you need to turn that into confidence and own the ring. 3rd Sophie Johnson handling a Papillion, great handler unfortunately you came across some tough competition, rapport exercise was spot on.

31-45 Years Entries(5) Abs (2)

1st Andrea Sabin handling an Airedale Terrier, needs to be more regimental with her feet, stand to attention this way the dog stands out rather than the handler, loose lead exercise was spot on great teeth and bite.

46-60 Years Entries (5) Abs (4)

1st Tracey Anscombe handling a border Terrier, my handler of the day cool, calm, collected, exceptionally smart, great lines, tidy turns, really good! great loose lead exercise with super rapport, apparently she is the back up handler and doesn't show much which is a waste of talent.

61+ Years Entries (6) abs (5)

1st Victor Pearce handling a Border Terrier, cracking handler, so well presented, great lines and angles, perfect table work, good positioning, great rapport, textbook bite and teeth, didn't always listen to instructions but i will let him off this time.

Adult Handling Day 2

17-30 Years Entries (4) Abs (1)

1st Lucy Wareham handling a Clumber Spaniel, super handler, lots of talent, beautifull lines both the loose lead and teeth exercises were faultless, 2nd Emily Rice handling a NSDT Retriever, this dog was quite frankly off its trolley! so many distractions but this wonderfull handler didn't put a step wrong, with a lesser competent handler this would have been a different story, there was very little rapport in all honesty more of a joint agreement to get through the class which takes talent. 3rd Amy Harris handling a curly coat Retriever, another great handler with loads of potential, she miss read my instructions and stood by the table rather than in the middle of the ring for inspection, great handler never the less.

31-45 Years Entries (8) Abs (3)

1st This was an awesome class filled with very talented handlers, now this took me back to the stiff competition back in the 1980's 1st Harriet Turner handling a GSP, the absolute highest standard so far this week, clean lines, great turns, super handler didn't put a foot wrong. 2nd Rebecca Judd handling a GSP again same as one, it was more like a final than a qualifying class, both first and second should be very proud of themselves having beaten third position in this class who in my opinion is dog handling Royalty. 3rd " The " Mary Court handling a Cocker Spaniel, last time i saw this handler she was barely the hight of a rough collies ears, still today an unbelievable handler, smart, very tidy, clean lines, perfect table work, her dog was a little lethargic with the heat and that didn't weather as well as the GSP's. 4th James Head, VHC Alex Maison.

46-60 Years Entries (4) Abs (1)

1st Alison Ironside handling a min Pin, this handler made my day, absolutely loved the rapport, so compassionate with her little rocket, beautifully presented, followed instructions well, lovely presentation on the table and made me laugh! this pup was awesome. 2nd Hazel Warrener handling an English Springer Spaniel, great handler smartly dressed, followed instructions well, I had to nit pick in this class it was met with some serious talent.  3rd Nicola Griffith-Rose handling a large munsterlander, competence level was strong in this class, i would have liked a tighter fitting skirt as it flapped inthe dogs face, she stood on the opposite side to the other handlers when assessing heads, not a fault but it stood out over other talented handlers.

60+ Years Entries (9) Abs (6)

1st David Coode handling a Labradour Puppy, absolutely beautiful a sight to be seen, great rapport, lovely turns, never once got between the dog and the judge, absolute proffesionalism. 2nd Janet Unwin handling a Springer, another very smart handler, great rapport with her dog, a well trained  and experienced handler in my opinion. 3rd C.Stangroom handling a Cocker, another fabulous handler but tende to via off to the left, I'm not sure if this helps  but when i wear my distance glasses rather than my verifocals i via off too the left too, I didnt notice you wearing glasses but i do know that i prefer reading lenses as they keep me in a straight line. I am sorry i didn't get to do too much with those in this class but it was getting too warm and welfare comes first.

Adult Handling Day 3

17-30 Years Entries (6) Abs (3)

1st Mellisa Greaham-Weall Handling a Shetland Sheepdog, excellent Handler, very tidy, didn't put a foot wrong, there is alot to like about this handler, very talented, i believe I gave her father Justin? Best junior handler with a Borzoi back in the late 1980's so its lovely to see the hobby carried through the generations. 2nd Imy Baker handling a siberian Husky, she lacked confidence and i have no idea why? a really kind and competent handler, very impressive rapport, great lines, followed instructions perfectly. 3rd Ryan Percy handling a Beauceron , really abstract critism on this handler, he is too proffesional, going through the motions, a good handler by any means but showed no flair, i think perhaps the heat was a little too much today.

31-45 Years Entries (1) Abs (0)

1st Ilona Lukkonen handling a Samoyed, this handler would have been my overall best handler of the show, i was so impressed by her she was Classy! So smart and tidy a clean faultless performance, so connected with her dog, she is an unseen handler, its all about the dog which was expertly presented, everything she did was effortless, calm and kind, a handler that everyone should aspire to be, thank you so much for your entry it was breath taking perfection.

46-60 Years Entries (6) Abs (3)

1st Shioban Lea handling a Border collie, good handler, great teeth and bite exercise, really good rapport on the loose lead exercise, nice lines, just stood too close when presenting after the up and down. 2nd Sharon Tandy handling a Border Collie another good handler, a very kind handler, her dog was engaged with her at all times, great lines but stood too close when presenting. 3rd Laura Smeaton handling a GSD another good handler in a great line up, i was not letting people use the outside ring as it was rather warm but she managed really well with the restriction that  i had put on, another handler that was too close when presenting and i had to get nit picky again, in the lie up when i was assessing the heads her dog was out of sync with the others slightly but overall a really good handler.

61+ Years Entries (7) Abs (2)

1st Bettina Yabsley handling a BSD Terv, great rapport, clean lines beautifully presented a smart and calm handler.2nd Ian Wakeling handling a Siberian Huskey "Ayahne" who was not playing today, he was very busy elsewhere and not the easiest dog to show, this handler had to work hard to try and hide the fact that the dog wanted to do its own thing, no real rapport just a case of a mutual agreement to get through the class, a very calm and caring handler. 3rd Shelagh Crowther handling a well behaved Siberian Husky, great rapport and a very natural handler, very clean cut in appearence and one of those invisible handlers that present the dog so well. 4th Marguerite McShane. VHC Sharon Cornwell.

Adult Handling Day 4

17-30 Years Entries (7) Abs (3)

1st Paige Le Moignan handling a Tibetan Terrier, beautiful handling, smart and tidy, great foot work and lovely rapport, a quality handler. 2nd Ethan Roberts handling a Dalmation, very proffesional, exceptionally kind with great rapport, difficult to choose between 1 and 2. 3rd Niamh Woodhouse handling a Dashshund, another really good handler i would have preferred the dog to have been from left to right on the table and unfortunately got between the dog and the judge, huge potential though with this one. 4th Danielle Graham-weall.

31-45 Years Entries (7) Abs (4)

1st Katie Dawson handling a Ridgeback, again a very smart handler, perfect colour to show off her dog, very calm and exacuted everything i asked for with talent. 2nd Hayley Reynolds handling a Dachshund,  very good presentation on the table, lovely lines, what split 1 from 2 was Hayley needed to be reminded to do the up and down after the triangle.  3rd Natalie Stovey handling a Springer Spaniel,  great handler just blocked others when I tried to view a row of heads.

46-60 Years Entries (3) Abs (1)

1st Sarah McMahon handling a Norwegian Elkhound,  she literally won by a head, very close in this class, a kind handler, good lines and presented the dog with ample space. 2nd Amanda Bryant handling a Shihtzu,  not a whiska between these two, unfortunately far to warm to complete  many exercises but completed Reeth and bite and loose lead exercise which was very good.

61+ Years Entries (4) Abs (2)

1st Janet Rice Handling a Tibetan Spaniel pup, absolutely beautiful rapport, kind and compassionate handler,  very smart, lots of talent, great lines, very tidy turns. 2nd Elizabeth Tracey Kreiger handling a miniature Schnauzer , both handlers in this class were neck and neck, a Beautiful handler,  calm and compassionate,  I had to try hard to catch one of these out but I managed to catch her out on the line up, a wonderfully talented class.
