COVENTRY & DISTRICT GUNDOG SOCIETY Premier Open Show

2nd March 2025

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge again at this beautifully organised Premier Open Show. I would like to thank all the exhibitors, not only for the number of dogs in the entry but for the quality of the beautiful dogs you brought to show me. I was thrilled to have such lovely dogs which wouldn’t have disgraced any champ show.

3rd Law SHEBELTA SWEET HOME ALABAMA

OD (12 Entries, 3 Absent)

Excellent class

1st Henson CINDERBANK MOVE IT JW – Kind, masculine head with everything I was looking for, those almond dark brown eyes drew me in with his dark pigment, his well domed head, soft ears and powerful muzzle. I loved the flow of his strong well muscled neck in to his topline. He had good width of forechest and good bone to those cat like feet. Well muscled thoughout, he didn’t put a foot wrong apart from perhaps slightly flying his tail on the move. I did forgive this on this occasion as he wasn’t the only one. BOB

2nd Wallington WYNRITA SCHOOL DAZE – I was having a hard time deciding between one and two. I was very drawn to this boy. He has a slightly shorter muzzle but still the same attractive pigment and kind, confident nature. He was well muscled throughout and in tip top condition. I liked his bone and feet and thought he had good turn to his stifle. I loved his topline both standing and on the move and he had a great profile. RBOB

3rd Withey ROSINANTE MAJOR HERO

OB (10 Entries, 4 Absent)

1st Hush BENROWAN ESPRIT – Medium, dark veteran. Very feminine all through, her head had good depth to muzzle and a kind eye. Tight cat like feet and well muscled. Level topline well held throughout and well held tail on the move. Best mover in class.

2nd Phipps-Baker Baker MADDOUSE TAIL SPINNER SGWC – Attractive blonde bitch with a kind face. She is made of good proportions and moved out well holding her topline and carrying her tail well. In good coat.

3rd Harding EVENINGHILL GOING DUTCH SGWC
