Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge the Working breeds and group at this lovely show and to the exhibitors for accepting my placings with grace and good sportsmanship. Luckily the rain held off so we were able to make full use of the large outdoor ring. Thank you also to my efficient steward, Paula Sarantos.

1st Kirk’s Adventurer’s All the Nights Like This of Belezaflor (Imp Fin) - PWD – 10 mth female, lovely feminine head with correct length of muzzle, dark, well placed eye. Good body shape with adequate rib width for age, nice amount of forechest, good depth to body. Lacks a little angulation at this stage, well muscled, regular, active movement and held her topline well. In super coat. BAVNSCW, BAVNSCWP & WPG 2
2nd Lampen & Wilson’s Hyerdunscar The Huntsman is Rosco – Bullmastiff – 9 mth male, well grown boy with masculine, square head, dark eye of good shape. Strong neck into level topline, wide chest with deep brisket. Would prefer a touch more bend of stifle, well muscled all through, feet could be tighter. Moved well going around but a little erratic behind coming and going.
3rd Rennison’s Oukaya Forever Asteria of Kismet (Imp Fra) NAF– Newfoundland –

1st Wheeler’s Hipkins Charismatic – almost 12 mth female, lovely feminine head of good proportions, broad underjaw with well padded lips with correct bite. Strong neck flowing into body of square proportions, good depth of brisket and well ribbed. Nicely angulated all around, well muscled. Moved well, driving in profile but a little wayward coming and going. BP & WPG3
2nd Hawkins’ Mellhawk Azizam – 6 mth male, giving away a lot in age to 1 but lots to like in this young man, very good head for age, obviously still developing. Nice amount of forechest, looks a little short in body at this stage. Well muscled all through with good angulation. A little erratic on the move but some good steps shown, lovely tight feet.
3rd Catling’s Lottalove Nordic Gypsy King -
PG (3,1)
1st Pearn’s Bonmac Little Star – 18 mth female, feminine head with correct length of muzzle, ears well set and well used to advantage. Dark, well placed eye giving a lovely expression. Good depth of chest but would prefer a touch more forechest. Square body, well muscled all round with good angulation, moved with drive but also with elegance. Pushed for BOB.
2nd Allen-Maher’s Invictadaw Raquel – 4 yr female, nice head with good proportions and width to skull, well arched neck. Looks a little leggy and I would prefer more bend to stifle. Movement was a little erratic today but some good driving steps shown.

1st Harvey & Bole’s Harvlin’s Mystification JW – 3 yr female, loved the head on this girl, good width of muzzle with correct stop, super expression. Strong neck into a firm topline which she held well on the move. Good body proportions and angulation all around, well muscled. Moved with a driving, ground covering action. BOB & WG4

1st Husk’s Xentader’s Amazing Grace – 18 mth female, loved this girl, feminine, wedge shaped head, lovely earset & dark, almond eye giving a super expression. Muscular neck flowing into strong topline with great tailset. Square body shape, well muscled all around, good forechest and super angles fore and aft. Moved with great purpose and the required hind rotary action, handled well. Kept her great movement through to the group where I couldn’t deny her the win. BOB & WG1
2nd Lawrence’s Rantowish The Silver Bullet – 4 yr male, masculine head, stop a little deep, good eye colour to match coat. Good forechest and depth of brisket. Square shape to body, a little weaker in neck than 1, topline slopes from withers. Moved well but not as positive as 1.

Rottweiler
J (2,1)
1st Gauron & Viner’s Javladare Heart Goes Boom – 14 mth male who I have judged a couple of times previously and I still love him! Masculine head with correct 2 to 3 proportions, I love his expression, deep muzzle with good stop. Not the biggest boy but good body proportions with deep chest but would prefer a touch more forechest, correct angulation front and rear, very well muscled. Moved well in all directions, well handled and considered for BOB.
PG (3,1)
1st Pamplin’s Jaqary Kiss From a Rose – 2 yr female, head of good proportions but a touch long in muzzle, lovely shape and colour to eye. Adequate forechest, 9:10 body proportions, decent angulation fore and aft. Well muscled and moved OK in all directions.
2nd Johnson’s Weysabrook All That Jazz – 2 yr female, would like a slightly stronger head, good colour and shape to eye. A bit long in body for balance and dips slightly behind the withers, movement not as active as 1.
O (1,0)
1st Vanson’s Pasko Du Temple D’Adranos Von Tiesto (Imp Fr) ShCEx – I’ve judged this boy a couple of times recently and my previous comments still apply, masculine all through, good eye and ears, would prefer a touch more length of neck, good flow to topline. Well muscled rear. Today, however, he wasn’t on his best form on the move, still covered the ground well but a little lacklustre. BOB & WG3
Siberian Husky
J (3,0)
1st Simms’ Vinx Des Sarmentins (Imp Fra) – 11 mth female, promising youngster, feminine head with excellent ear size & carriage, super expression. Good arch to neck, a touch close in front but good depth to chest. Good angulation and well muscled all around. Effortless movement in all directions. Looks a little heavy until you get your hands under her dense coat! BP & WPG1
2nd Prior’s Nativespirits Dopinder – 17 mth male, would prefer a touch less stop on this boy but head proportions are good. Strong, well arched neck into a body of good proportions, well muscled and angulated, correct coat, moved well in all directions.
3rd Gauntlett’s Eirakee’s You Go Glen Coco (AI)
PG (3,1)
1st Dumbarton’s Howlvalleys Lemon Drizzle – 13 mth male, masculine head of nice proportions with good earset and carriage. Obliquely set eye giving a nice expression. Good forechest and length of neck flowing into a nicely proportioned body. Good angulation fore and aft, tight feet. Flowing, positive movement, well handled.
2nd Prior’s Nativespirits Dopinder – see critique above
O (1,0)
1st Simms’ Arcticskies the Chosen One JW ShCEx OSW – 3 yr red and white dog, one of my favourites, I gave him a puppy group in the past and he is fulfilling his potential. Masculine, foxy head, good ear set and size, super expression. Good forechest and width of chest, good body proportions with required shape to ribs. Well muscled rear with good angulation. Changing his coat but still has a good covering. Moved well in the breed class but lost some of his sparkle in the group ring. BOB & WG2

Lovely amount of forechest, strong neck flowing into a level topline which he maintained on the move. Well angulated front and rear. Carrying a little extra weight but this didn’t affect his super, effortless movement. BAV Vet
