Kington Horse Show & Agricultural Society Open Show 13th September 2025

I would like to thank Kington Agricultural Society for inviting me to judge their terriers and thank my very able Steward Erica.

Australian Terrier

L (1:0) 

1ST Jones’s Lazy Lou Von Den Grauen Anfurten At Wyeafon (IMP NLD).  Very feminine puppy bitch of just 9 months old.  Lovely head, with dark eyes and ears erect, giving her a keen, outgoing expression.  Beautiful made with a lovely outline, correct mouth and harsh coat.  Well presented and handled.  Lost out today to the winner of open on maturity, but one to watch as she matures.  BPIB & PG4

1ST Jones’s CH Wyeafon Illusion In Blue.  4-year-old bitch who ticked all the boxes.  Beautiful head, lovely well-muscled profile throughout, moving freely and with drive.  Presented and shown in beautiful condition.  BOB & G4

Border Terrier

SY (3:1) 

1st Davies’s Foxchapel Appleby Fair.  18-month-old bitch. A happy, outgoing little girl, with a lovely otter head, dark ear and keen expression.  Perfect mouth.  Just enough bone and easily spanned.  Well presented in double coat.  Settled and moved well for handler.  BOB. 

2nd Davies’s Onthill Silver Star at Foxchapel.  12-month-old bitch.  Another well presented youngster.  Nice head and outline, with keen, friendly expression.  Again, enough bone and easily spannable.  Harsh, double coat.  Just lost out today on movement.

1ST Hull’s Risibully Anarchy In The UK.  4-year-old Brindle and White Dog.  Lovely, well-marked head, correct mouth, dark eye and ears used well.  A nice sized boy, well-muscled throughout.  Well-presented and handled.  In typical bull terrier style, he walked around the ring like he owned it. 

O (2:1) 

1ST Hull’s Risibully My Kind Of Girl.  Stunning 2-year-old Tri colour bitch who caught my eye as soon as she walked in the ring with her beautifully turned head.  A nice sized bitch, dark eyed and with a correct mouth, she used her ears well to show of her beautiful head profile.  Level topline, and well-rounded body, enough bone, nothing exaggerated.  Well-presented and handled. BOB

Jack Russell Terrier

1st Wilkinson & Wakeham’s  Wakywilks Who’s That Thing.  7 month old puppy bitch, a beautiful bitch, well matured for her young age.  Lovely head, nothing exaggerated or lacking.  Small dark eye, giving her that keen, up for anything look.  Correct dentition.  Level topline and well sprung ribs, well-muscled throughout.  Correct tail set, with tail carried erect on the move giving her a lovely outline on the move.  BOB, BPIB & PG

2nd Addoo’s Reulemill Quacajack.  3 year old dog.  Another lovely example of the breed.  Of heavier make than 1, correct head, dark eyes and ear set, pleasing expression.  Good length of neck, level topline and well-muscled throughout.  Moved and handled well pushing 1st hard for her place.

1st Ryan’s Saredon Modern Times.  22-month-old Dog.  Nicely marked young man with a pleasing head, dark, keen eyes, good ear set and correct dentition.  Good reach of neck, leading to level topline, enough ribbing.  Well angulated front and rear.  Made his handler work hard to settle him on the move.  

2nd Jones’s Maise Moo.  3 year old white, black and tan bitch.  Nice head with a keen expression.  Level topline and enough rib.  Moved ok.  

Norfolk Terrier

L (3:1) 

1st Ward’s Littlemount Lili.  18 month old bitch.  A smart, compact young lady with a beautiful head, dark eyes and keen expression.  Short in back but still well ribbed giving a pleasing profile throughout.  Moved with drive.

2nd Alman’s Namlak Isabella.  14 month old bitch.  Another well made youngster.  Lovely shaped head with correct eyes and ear set.  Short in back, well angulated and compact throughout.  Pushed hard for the class but was beaten on movement today.  

O (3:1) 

1st  Ward’s Littlemount Celun Y Mor.  4 year old dog with strong, beautifully shaped head.  Correct dark eyes, ear set and dentition.  Level topline, well sprung ribs but still compact throughout.  Straight in front legs, well angulated rear, moved with drive and purpose.  BOB and G2.

Parson Russell Terrier

L (1:0) 

1ST Roach’s Heythrop Tangle.  9 year old bitch in super condition, not giving her age away.  Lovely wedge shaped head, dark eyes and neat ears.  Legs strong, with enough bone, body easily spannable.  Well-presented smooth, double coat.  A little nervous to start with but moved well once settled.  At her age, a credit to her handler.  BOB

Sealyham Terrier

L (3:2) 

1st Bettis’s Whooperhill Sand Dollar With Ornella.  11-month-old puppy dog who just oozes quality.  Beautiful, powerful head, dark eyes and correct ear set.  Long, muscular neck, correct topline.  Well-muscled hind legs, this dog powered around the ring with drive to spare.  BOB and well deserved G3 & PG1

O (3:2) 

1st Bettis’s Ch Ornella King Midas JW.  2-year-old Dog.  Another beautifully made Sealyham along the same lines at the Limit winner.  A lovely head with everything in proportion.  Correct topline, well sprung ribs and well-muscled throughout.  Beaten by his kennel mate on movement today.  

Skye Terrier

L (2:0) 

1st Baker’s Silverbriar Bryony.  Lovely 10 month old puppy bitch, strong head, with dark eyes and correct mouth.  Good length of neck with correct body proportions.  Well-presented double coat.  Moved effortlessly around the ring.  One to watch in the future.  Well-deserved BPIB and PG3.  

2nd Baker’s Silverbriar Persia.  Litter mate to 1st.  Another beautiful puppy bitch, not as outgoing as her sister, struggling to show off her virtues.

1st Mason’s Bhatairnis Fasach.  7 year old black dog in super condition.  Strong head with dark eyes and correct ear set.  Lovely reach of neck and long, level topline.  Pleasing profile throughout.  Well presented in immaculate double coat.  Moved and handled well.  BOB
