Cheltenham&District Canine Society Sunday 23 February 2025 Kathryn Trevor -Trevorsilk Many thanks to the committee for my judging appointment and my two steward Pam and Kirsty who kept my ring moving. It had been a long wait for the exhibitors as we were in the ring after all the toy breeds so many thanks to you all for stopping . Also thank you for your patience as I really wasn’t feeling very well and I really hope I didn’t pass my germs onto anyone else German shorthaired Pointers Special yearling (3,1) 1 Angus Edelmidpoint Silhoutte for Sparkenhoe 11 month old black and white ticked bitch who showed all the great points of a GSP with a head that was slightly rounded and a nice width, dark eyes, correct mouth and head well-proportioned to the rest of the body she has a moderate length in neck which was slightly arched and well-muscled well laid back elbows and forelegs that were straight and lean had a lovely deep chest leading to a firm short back and a docked tail, she had powerful hindquarters for one so young and I am sure she will continue to develop slightly bent stifles she moved with drive covering the ring with ease, messed around on movement in the challenge with a different handler but once back with mum showed off her movement once again, pleased to award her BOB BP also pleased to see she got group 4 in the puppy group and was shortlisted in the gundog group one to watch for the future 2 Anderson Knabynnus Autumndays a 22 month old male who was not happy today in the ring, he had a lovely outline while standing with a full tale slightly heavier head and deeper muzzle than my first place which is to be expected in a more mature male overall balance looked good with a slight tuck up shame I wasn’t able to go over him fully Limit (2,2) Open(3,1) 1 Angus Keigame Hearts Desire of Sparkenhoe RBOB two and half year old liver ticked Bitch shown in hard condition a good example of a well put together GSP her head was a good shape eyes slightly light but still acceptable, ears correct set and length and carried well, moderate length of neck with a slight arch nice deep chest with well sprung ribs and a good tuck up, a firm short back with well-muscled thighs straight legs lovely feet 2 Marsh Kilnrae Berliner 4 year old liver and white ticked Male altogether a bigger dog than first place head was correct shape and teeth were good ears set correct and a darker eye than first place neck muscular leading to good shoulders and straight front legs good depth to chest and ribs well sprung firm short back with a very slight slope towards the docked tail good strong legs with well bent stifles movement was good felt it lacked the drive of number one pushed hard for first place just preferred the overall finish of my first place
