Judges Miss Tracey Rowell - Rougebull

Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge their Premier show 2025. The exhibitors for entering and allowing me to go over their dogs and my steward Peter Robson for keeping the ring running so smoothly.

It was an extremely hot day which made it very uncomfortable at times, but I have to say all the dogs coped tremendously well under such difficult conditions.

Class: 59 – Puppy entries 3 (3 Abs)

Class: 60 – Junior entries 3 (1 Abs)

1st 60,Jordan R – Ironjacks Fat Bottom Girl at Souterbull.

13 month old Red & White balanced female possessing some pleasing qualities. Finely wrinkled head with good width of skull and rosed ears. Clear dark open eyes placed between a well-defined stop and muzzle with adequate length. Good length of neck with tacked on shoulders leading nice straight legs and tight feet. Good topline and under carriage with well-placed free moving tail. Moved well over quite difficult ground.

2nd 69, Slater, Mr G – Little Bakers Dozen.

14 month old lively red & white female. Brick shaped head with good width skull and neat well placed rosed ears. Open nostrils, nice tight feet. Topline ok, good tuck up and straight free moving tail.

I feel that both dog and handler would greatly benefit from more training and perhaps attending a local ringcraft might help.

Class : 61 – Post Graduate entries 2 (1 Abs)

1st 64, McKenna R A – Mijaro Daydot.

22 month old White & Red bitch. Standard size well balanced female with ample bone. Brick shaped head with lovely broad flat skull and correctly placed rosed ears. Nice wide nostrils and good with of jaw and turn up. Well arched neck leading down to broad tacked on shoulders. Good depth and width of chest with well barrelled ribs. Good topline with slight rise over the loin, well angulated hind quarters and when viewed from above displays the typical pear shaped body. Moved well under difficult terrain and weather conditions. Was pleased to award Best of Breed.

Class : 62 – Open entries 5 (4 Abs)

1st 61, Jordan Mrs R – Souterbull The Sandancer

10yr old Red & White bitch. What a pleasure it was to have such a happy content veteran in this class to go over. This girl made me smile every time I looked at her just enjoying her day. She had a lovely broad wide skull with clear dark eyes and full nose roll. Well padded cheeks and beautiful width of jaw. Deep well barrelled chest and ribs with good topline which she held well when moving, especially for her age. Would have benefitted from a more experienced handler with knowledge of the breed even if it was just stacking on the ramp with help moving round the ring.
