Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge Miniature Pinschers at their open show.

Junior (2/2)

1. Soper’s Alcarazita Conrad Gates

6 month old Red Dog, up to size. Dark oval eyes, a good length of muzzle, good scissor bite, erect ears carried high. Slightly arched neck leading on to a well laid shoulders, good depth of chest and sprung ribs. Straight legs, elbows held tight to body and tight cat-like feet. A slightly sloping top-line tail set carried high. Good tuck up in the belly, good sweep of stifle and parallel hocks. Moved with good drive from the rear, and high lifting forelegs, but there was no break in the wrist to give a hackney action. Won the class on confidence and movement today, the placings could change on a different day. BPIB

2. Moye’s Ymar Our Lady in Red

7 month old Red Bitch. She wasn’t very confident today and her movement was erratic, but there was a glimpse of a hackney gait, but she needs time to mature and gain more confidence. She has a balanced head with dark oval eyes, muzzle inproportion to the skull, good scissor bite. Small erect ears. Shorter in neck leading on to good shoulders. Fore-chest and depth to chest still developing, a slight tuck up to the belly. A firm top-line, slightly slopping to the croup and tail set carried high and over to one side. Good sweep of stifle and angulation with parallel hocks.

Post Graduate (3/3)

1. Twigg’s Monarkle Fire N’ice at Teffys

7 year old Red Bitch, and a very happy girl too. Pleasing head, muzzle of good length, she has dark oval eyes, brown nose and high set small erect ears. Good arch to neck leading on to firm clean shoulders, strong forelegs and tight feet. Slightly wide a the front, and has a tendency to throw her elbows out on the move. Good depth to chest and good tuck up to belly. Slight sweep to the stifle and parallel hocks. She has a good hackney gait on the move. She loved to show for her young handler. RBIB unfortunate in the challenge she had a tendency to drop her top-line on the move

2. Moye’s Kilmuir Cousteau with Ymar

2 ½ year old Black & Tan Dog, pleasing head, slightly shorter muzzle with a slight stop leading onto a flat forehead, nice black nose and dark oval eyes. Shorter in neck than 1, slightly sloping top-line to croup. Good depth of chest and spring of ribs. Wide at the front with shorter forelegs. Moderate tuck up to the belly, good rear angulation and movement.

3. Soper’s Dobenar Leonidas

Open (1/1)

1. Twigg’s Bamtybo Dark Lord at Teffys VW

8 year old Black & Tan Dog another veteran who still loves to show off in the ring, very attentive to his handler. Pleasing head, good length of muzzle, dark oval eyes and small erect ears. Slightly arching neck leading onto to good shoulders, slightly sloping top-line and tail set carried high on the move. Good spring of ribs. Strong forelegs and tight feet. Good sweep of stifle and parallel hocks. Moved out with drive and purpose, showing that age is just a number. BOB
