BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG CLUB of SCOTLAND 23rd February 2025 Special Awards Classes. I would like to thank the Officers & Committee for the kind Invitation to judge this Show and for their Hospitality and beautiful Gifts. Many thanks to my efficient Steward, Tom, and to the exhibitors who braved the horrendous weather to show their dogs. Class A – Special Members Puppy Award. (4:0) 1st Fryer’s RODIVECO LOVE SONG. 7-Month-old B. who is balanced with good bone. She has attractive head markings with a flat skull, dark brown eyes with tight fitting eyelids, slight stop & good breadth of muzzle. She has a good depth of brisket, well ribbed back & rounded rump. She stands well on round feet with straight forelegs and sufficient muscling in HQ’s. She has a soft silky coat with good markings. She moved soundly with a good reach and looked balance particularly when moving in profile. 2nd Norris’s BERNEREXPRESS WAR THE BONELESS (Imp.Swe) NAF The baby of the class with a lovely shape, flat skull and good length of muzzle. He has clean, dark brown almond shaped eyes & scissor bite. He is well bodied for his age with good depth of brisket, well ribbed and rounded rump. He has a good turn of stifle but is a little weak in hock but I’m sure this will right itself as he matures. He is balanced with attractive coat markings. 3rd McCormick’s ETTERDEERN YOU CAN MAKE IT. Class B – Special Members Junior Award.(1:0) 1st Cary’s BERNARVALLEY LORD OF ISLE. 15-Month-old dog who is compact & sturdy with good bone and attractive head markings. He has a flat skull, good ear set, slight furrow with good breadth and length of muzzle. He has a strong neck with good shoulder assembly, broad chest, well ribbed back, strong loin and tight elbows. Well-muscled forelegs & HQ’s standing on round compact feet. He has a dense undercoat with a soft silky long topcoat. He moved soundly with good reach & drive. Class C – Special Members Post Graduate Award (10:1) 1st Norris’s LORD OF BERNERSVILLIANELLE (Imp Bel) NAF 2-Year-old dog with a balanced, compact outline. Although there is minimal white markings on the head he is masculine with a flat skull, slight furrow, defined stop dark brown almond shaped eyes. He has good bone and is well bodied with a good depth of brisket, well ribbed and a firm back. His forelegs are straight with flexed pasterns & well let down hocks. He is sound and balanced on the move with good reach and follow through. 2nd Dickson’s FORTONPARK GABRIELS WAY. 2-Year-old dog who is sturdy with a balanced outline. Masculine head with high set ears, flat skull, strong muzzle & scissor bite. He has a good depth of brisket, strong loin and rounded rump with tight elbows. His forelegs are straight and sit on round feet. Moved well in profile. 3rd Hastings OAKBERN NITRO RUMBA. Class D Special Members Open Award (6:3) 1st Kings FORTON PARK CLASS DESIGNER. Nearly 5-year-old striking male who is balanced and sturdy with good bone. His head is broad with a flat skull, slight furrow and defined stop, with clean, dark eyes. He has a strong neck, a good depth of brisket, firm loin & round rump. He stands true on straight forelegs, flexed pasterns, well-muscled HQ’s and well let down hocks. His coat is long, silky, with attractive desired markings on the head, chest & feet. His movement is sound with good reach & drive. Best Special Awards Winner. 2nd MacLeod’s TORRODONIAN MR SOLO. 5-year-old male who is sturdy with a masculine head. Strong boned with straight forelegs and round feet. Good head proportions with flat skull good breadth and length of muzzle. He is well bodied with broad chest, strong loin and rounded rump. His forelegs are straight but would like him a little stronger behind. He has a dense undercoat with a silky, attractively marked topcoat. 3rd Dobon’s BERNAERSHAW POWER OF LOVE. Judge: Tony Paczkowski
