Open Show Sunday 13th April 2025

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the officers and committee for the honor of judging Best In Show. I was presented with an array of beautiful dogs.

Best In Show

Wilberg’s Kanix Stafford. D. Fox Terrier (Smooth). 11 months. A true showman. Mature for age and never put a foot wrong. So well balanced he produces such a stunning outline. Good head with alert eyes gives that keen expression. Correct for neck and lay of shoulders. Neat sturdy forequarters, strong in bone. Deep chest, secure topline and well set tail. At all times in unison with his handler and at the end of a long day he was still alert and on his toes.

Reserve Best In Show

Rutherford’s Ch Bilohka Dawn Patrol With Potbelli, B. Pug. I am one of many who have awarded this beautiful example of the breed a CC. Today, I thought she had matured a little and was even better. She sports a dark pigmented headpiece of ideal shape and proportions, containing beautiful eyes. Wide jaw to finish. Clean well assembled front and well-muscled rear. Short coupled compact body. Super short, soft, textured coat. Amongst stiff competition today, she was in great form, moved superbly and thoroughly deserved this award.

Best Puppy In Show

Wilberg’s Kanix Stafford. D. Fox Terrier (Smooth).

Reserve Best Puppy In Show

Hall’s Jansams Bloody Mary (AI), B. Borzoi. 7 months. She is very shapely on the move. Beautifully presented coat. Super for head, eye and expression. Small ears, well set. Neck is well placed and slightly arched. Clean shoulders. Well arched oval shaped feet. Holds the desired topline when standing and on the move. Plenty of hind angulation aided effortless movement which was both graceful and elegant.

Best Veteran In Show

Hollifield’s Ch Richeardon Palden, Tibetan Mastiff. D. 9 years. Presented in fantastic coat and condition. Good sized head which was proportionate contains expressive dark brown eyes. So powerfully built throughout and when standing he portrays a balanced outline. Muscular neck, body with super ribbing and strong loins. Tail is well set. On the move he was effortless with strides being decidedly accurate. Clearly a popular win which, on the day, this award could not be denied.
