PG (1) 1st Wilson, Delsaux happy ever after a 13 month old dark shaded red female of a nice size. She had dark eye and nose pigment, with a strong jaw and well developed teeth. Good reach of neck into correct lay back of shoulder, prominent breastbone, correct wraparound front complete with a nicely tucked elbow. She has a pleasant profile outline holding her top and underline well on the move. Correct rise over loin into a good tail set, pleasing rear angulation which she made good use of on the move, showing drive. Shown in lovely body and coat condition. Pleased to award her BOB
O (1) 1st Sutton, Kindeace Texas tornado at damai 6 year old dark shaded red rather large male. Beautiful romany houndy head shape, with correct proportions, a kind eye with dark pigment, correct bite and clean teeth. Loved his ear set and expression. Plenty of forechest flowing into a moderate length keel. Nice coat condition and presentation showing off correct tight feet with arch. he struggled to move around the ring as efficiently as the PG due to a short upper arm and heavier frame. RBOB
Dachshund (wire-haired)
P (1) 1st Jones, Something audatious among clanwillow 6 month old wild boar female who is a nice size for her age. She had an excellent harsh double coat for a baby. Strong facial features, nice broad ear leathers and correct ear set. She has a shapely profile, with pleasing proportions and angulation, her topline will firm up with time. She dealt with a runaway dog from the neighbouring ring interfering with her movement excellently, showing off her level headed and confident temperament. She works well with her handler. More than happy to award BP
J (1) 1st Akehurst, Tendrow down to the wire at Bramdach 14 month old wild boar male who is well put together and oozing breed type. Super harsh double coat, even his leg hair was very harsh. He is balanced all through, be careful not to over stack him. Correct front assembly, enough length and spring of rib. Well angulated rear, put to good use on the move, moving true and parallel showing pads. Held his topline and tail set well. Lovely temperament as were all the wires today. He gave BOB a run for his money, RBOB
PG (2) 1st Akehurst, Tendrow down to the wire at Bramdach
2nd Howlett & Rowe, Boloria spiced rum 4 year old wild boar male, who was busy and trying very hard for his handler. Presented to perfection, sporting a correct jacket. His head was spot on, good proportions completed with a well-furnished beard. Super front assembly, flowing into a correct top and underline and tail set. His movement was pleasing, strong strides and moved true. Wasn’t much to pick between these two lovely dogs, I preferred the tidier balance front to rear of 1.
O (4 1) 1st Rowe, Boloria goodnight mr tom JW This nearly 2 year old nicely matured wild boar male had a super attitude and commanded the ring upon entry. He is well put together all through. Really expressive head and eyes, lovely ear set and a well-furnished beard. Great layback of shoulder. Enough neck leading into harmonious withers into a balanced topline, with a matching underline giving him a super striking profile shape. Angulation not overdone, he moved with a strong purposeful pace gaining him BOB & later a fantastic RBIS.
2nd Rowe, Ch Boloria’s trick or treat JW Lovely sized wild boar female who is pushing nearly 9 and is not showing signs of ageing just yet. Good coat for her age and well presented in good body condition. I love her correct head shape and ear set, nice length of nose and muzzle retaining her dark nose pigment. Pleasing proportions all through and not overdone in any way. She has fabulous front assembly.
Dachshund (mini smooth-haired)
P (2 1) 1st Sommers, Penjulai’s over the moon Petite black and tan female just under a year old. Dark pigment and nice ear set. Enough neck, would prefer a better front assembly as tended to step a bit too high. Super topline and tail set, not quite the smooth underline to match. Moderate rear angulation, moved well enough. Lovely shiny coat condition, presented nicely and moved well with handler. BP
J (1 1)
PG (5 1) 1st Forge, Normpug apricot beauty 3 year old red female who was the best balanced dog in this class. She is a smaller more correct size. She held the most breed qualities required. Presented in good coat and body condition. Sweet head, with a complete scissor bite, dark dark pigment with melting dark almond shaped eyes which are striking against her red coat. Great angulation fore and aft and she moved good and true.
2nd Butterstone, Joshotto martha gunn Another smaller correctly sized black and tan female who has just turned two. Nice shape to muzzle and a correct complete bite. Clean rich tan markings. Forechest well developed, good layback of shoulder and held her topline and tail set standing and on the move. Just lost out on first due to a bit of over reaching movement front and rear.
O (5 1) 1st Strange, Bronia’s armand at cazdachs 2 year old red male who is at his peak of maturity and presented well muscled which gave him the power to drive around the bumpy ring with ease. Well-off for bone with strong legs and neat feet. Lovely dark pigment and dark almond shaped eye contrasting with his rich red coat. Good length and width of skull, maybe needs a touch more muzzle length to complete his super head. Strong arch of neck into a firm topline. He has a deep enough keel and correct shoulders. Well angulated hind quarters which he put to good use striding steadily, giving a polished performance today. BOB and shortlisted in BIS
2nd Forge, Normpug roman holiday JW Striking 2 year old black and tan male. He has a finer head, with a neat little ear set. Well-developed teeth and jaw. Good reach of neck flowing into a deep enough keel and harmonious withers. Smooth topline and correct tail set. He has a better length of body and short strong loin. His angulation is good, and has enough ground clearance. I was picking hairs between these two and it was probably the hardest decision today as they both possess fantastic breed qualities in their own rights, he was a bit unsettled today in the relentless rain and wind however he was rewarded a clear and well deserved RBOB

O (3 2) Broad, Bronia wolfgang puck 3 year old shaded red male stood alone today but was a well-deserved BOB. Well filled thorax with plenty of width, a correct wraparound front with nicely tucked elbow. Neat rounded arched feet. Rear angulation was spot on and this shone through with correct parallel movement, showing his pads driving well. He also held his topline and tail set on the move and has a balanced length to heigh ratio and not oversized. A true miniature.

PG (2) 1st Perry & Handyside, Zoltarous mini kora A larger sized 2 year old chocolate and tan female who looks like she could do a days work. She has a high frame with plenty of ground clearance. A good harsh coat. Correct ear set and houndy head with a strong jaw. I felt her whole front assembly is placed too far forward. She moved a bit close but was coordinated and steady. RBOB
2nd Talor & Taylor, Ashlawn love me do 3 year old wild boar male who was a more correct size than 1, but was lacking body condition which had to be penalised today. Super expressive head, which was a good shape with great furnishings. Pleasing arch of neck, prominent breastbone with dips each side. Enough ground clearance, would prefer a shorter body and a longer keel. He had great rear angulation which especially looked good in profile and he stood parallel, but moved a bit close behind.
O (3) 1st Tomsett & Bruty, Dajean kristar Another large sized chocolate and tan, female. She is sporting a really correct harsh coat. Nice head proportions, rounded large ear leathers. Good length of neck leading into a firm topline, with a short body type. She is mostly balanced with good ground clearance. She moved true with correct width, a shame she couldn’t stride out to her full potential due to handler restrictions which is understandable. When she pulls into a free stack she looks very natural and correct but goes a bit silly on the table. Won on her overall breed type qualities but is probably over sized. No way to tell without scales. BOB
2nd Stewart-Brown, Pennywave pink gin 6 year old wild boar female, more correctly sized than 1. Head proportions good, nice rounded ear leathers and well-furnished face. She has nice enough front construction, with a good layback of shoulder. I would have liked her sweep of keel to reach further back. Nice length of body with enough ribbing and short loin, sporting a good coat. Her profile movement is purposeful but she tends to drive her shoulders into the ground, and was pinning in at the rear.
