1. Palmer’s Sandanca Lionheart to Colmeir. 11 mth tricolour dog. Out of a bigger mould than would prefer but he is soundly constructed and carries good bone. Neck of sufficient length, firm topline, pleasing rib, short in the couplings and tail correct for set and carriage. Masculine head with pleasing eye, ears set on low and good dentition. Stands nice and straight in front and moving freely. Best Puppy.
2. Burton & Dixon’s Sandanca Taking Chances for Dreamist. 9 mth old orange roan dog who pleased for size and also carried good bone. Neck of moderate length, topline to firm up, rib developing well for age and ribbing carried well back, short loin and tail good for set and carriage. Very nice head and expression with good eye and ear. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands well naturally.

Watson’s Quettadene Stars Aligned over Bordacity. 16 mth old black dog who still has to fill out but he presented a super outline with muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm topline which slopes slightly as desired, ribbing carried well back, short loin and tail good for set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with correct stop, expressive eyes, ears set on low and correct dentition. Of sound construction front and rear, moving true on the down and back and opens up well when viewed in profile.
2. Dolan’s Snowgate Shine On. 16 mth old blue roan dog who presents a compact outline and is well boned. Neck of medium length, firm in topline, ribs well sprung and carried well back and tail of pleasing carriage. Attractive head and expression with good proportions, good eyes for shape and colour, ears set on low and square muzzle. Goes well on the go around but not quite front action of winner.

2. Davies’ Manchela Little Mermaid of Annaside. 20 mth old blue roan bitch who unfortunately wasn’t at all settled on the day. Feminine all through, she pleased for type and carries good bone. Muscular neck of moderate length, correct topline, ribbing extends well back, short in the couplings and tail of correct set. Most appealing head and expression with good eye and ear and scissor bite. She stands true and opened up well on the go around.

1. Davies’ Annaside Winters Moon. 4 yr old blue roan bitch who was so good hands on. Carrying gone bone she is nicely balanced with moderate length of neck, firm in topline with slight slope, excellent ribbing, short loin and tail of good carriage. Balanced headpiece with feminine expression, lovely eye and ear, square muzzle and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation both ends and moves freely all through with good carriage. Well handled. BOB.

Muscular neck of good length, excellent topline, ribbing extends well back, firm loin and tail set on low which he carries correctly. Attractive head with very nice eye, ears set on low, moderate stop and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through and moves out well when viewed in profile with good carriage. BOB.

1. Shipton’s Bel Ch Broomeece Fire Cracker over Mishules BW2024. 5 yr old black dog who was good hands on and also pleased for bone and substance. Muscular neck, firm topline, correct spring of rib and strong loin. Quality head with super expression; almond-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on low and correct dentition. Standing nice and straight in front on nice tight feet and with well developed forechest. Carrying his tail somewhat higher and not quite as good on the down and back as winner.

1. Hackett & Williams’ Woodrocks Marla Mabel at Foulby. 2 yr old bitch. Feminine all through and presenting a nicely balanced outline. Muscular neck, excellent topline, good length to ribcage, broad loin and tail set on correctly. Attractive head with expressive eyes, ears set on low, strength to muzzle and good dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and she stands well naturally. Gaiting freely on the go around and firm hindquarters with plenty of drive. Good quality coat.
2. Foody’s Carteila Roll of the Dice. 13 mth old dog who is at the teenager stage right now and therefore needs more time. Excellent neck, topline to firm, pleasing rib development for age and ribbing carried well back, firm loin and tail set on low. Masculine headpiece with good skull, almond-shaped eyes and ears of correct set. He is somewhat wider in front than would prefer and this reflects when gaiting, however he moved out well when viewed in profile. Good coat.

1. Hackett & Williams’ Sh Ch Curlyco My Hot Rockstar. 7 yr old dog. Solid lad who I thought so correct for type, is well off for bone and was good hands on. Powerful neck, short level back, deep brisket, excellent ribbing and muscular loins. Quality head with good skull, expressive almond-shaped eyes, ears set on low and strong muzzle. Good angles front and rear, standing straight in front with good forechest and well-muscled throughout. Gaiting freely all through with excellent self carriage and enjoying his time in the ring. Very good coat. BOB.

Strong neck of correct length to give balance, firm back, ribcage of good length, well-muscled loin and tail of correct carriage. Pleasing head of good proportions, expressive oval-shaped eyes, ears set high and scissor bite. He stands well naturally on compact feet and opened up well on the go around and pleased on the down and back too. BOB.

1. Gammon’s Glenbrows Reminiscent. 16 mth old bitch who I thought a good type and presented a pleasing outline too. Moderately long neck, short level back, ribcage of good length and tail correct for both set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with good eye and ear, moderate stop and scissor bite. She stands on good feet but is still to fill in front. Ok angles, gaiting true on the down and back but could open up more on the go around.

1. Clubb & Mason’s Oroshaza Bumble Beee JW TP23. These two exhibits really were like chalk and cheese. My winner was this 2 yr old bitch who was shown in excellent condition. She pleased in outline with nicely arched neck of correct length to balance, short level back, nice spring of rib and tail good for both set and carriage. Moderate width to skull and good dentition but not quite expression I was looking for. She is soundly constructed all through and has a lovely forechest and certainly didn’t let herself down when gaiting. BOB.

1. Roffey’s Camusmor Ca Canny with Acanuck. 2 yr old bitch. Pleasing girl who appealed for type, size and outline and carries nice bone. Clean neck of moderate length, short firm back, well ribbed back, well-muscled loins and tail good for set and carriage. Attractive headpiece with good skull, moderate stop, expressive eyes, ears set on high and scissor bite. Good angles both ends and she stands true in front on tight feet and pleased for forechest. Steady mover who opened up well on the go around. BOB.

1. Foster & Jones’ Angyali Annie Mr Jack Daniels at Stormpasture (Imp Hun). Two nice but quite different pups challenged in this class. This 9 mth old dog came out on top. He appealed for type, carries good bone and presented a super outline. Slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, firm level back, pleasing rib development, short loin and stern set on high and of good carriage. Masculine head of good proportions with moderate breadth to skull, expressive eyes, leathers set on low and scissor bite. Goes well on the go around but needs to tighten coming towards. Best Puppy and later Puppy Group 4.
2. Butters & Theobald’s Molesend Ibis of Breskar. 10 mth old bitch. Feminine throughout and good to go over. Muscular neck, level topline, ribbed well back, short in the couplings and stern correct for both set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with expressive eyes, well defined stop, leathers good for set and length and scissor bite. She stands nice and straight in front on tight feet and is well developed in forechest. Moving true on the down and back and pleased on the go around too, although winner just opened up a tad more.

1. Pocklington-Hall’s Bayard Bee Good. 2 yr old dog carrying good bone and presenting a nicely balanced outline. Slightly arched neck, firm level topline, well sprung ribs which are carried well back, short muscular loin and stern set on high. Balanced headpiece with leathers set on low, well defined stop and scissor bite. Standing true in front on good feet. Pleasing angles front and rear and moving freely all through.
2. Stuart’s Boskenna’s Wicked Witch. 18 mth old bitch who still has lots of maturing to do. She is somewhat rangier than the winner but she has a good neck, is nice and firm in topline and stern is set on high and of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with leathers set on low, well defined stop and correct dentition. She stands nice and straight in front and has good feet. Really moves out on the go around.

Excellent neck, firm level back, good depth to brisket, ribbing carried well back, muscular loin, firm croup and high set stern which he carries well. Good skull to muzzle proportions, eyes set well apart, leathers of correct length and set on low and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through and stands true in front with good forechest and has nice tight feet. Moves freely on the down and back and has a good length of stride when viewed in profile. BOB and later took Group 2.
2. Stuart’s Kellitcreed Danger Digits with Boskenna. 3 yr old bitch who pleased for overall type and is feminine all through. Muscular neck, pretty good topline but not croup of winner, pleasing rib and short in the couplings. Feminine headpiece with very nice expression; good eye and ear, well defined stop and correct dentition. She carries good bone and stands on the best of feet but she could have a tad more width in forechest. Moving pretty well all through but not quite profile action of 1.

1. Fleming’s Flerrow Watergrove Wonders. A rather varied class saw this 7 mth old dog come out on top. He scored here for overall outline with muscular neck of good length, pleasing topline, good depth to ribcage for age and tail of correct set and carriage. Head of good proportions with flat skull, correct ears and good underjaw. Pleasing angles front and rear and stands on correct feet. Goes well on the go around, has some width behind but could be more accurate coming towards. Best Puppy.
2. Murton’s Cyangrange Carpe Diem. 10 mth old dog who was pleasing to go over. Good length of neck to balance, good length to ribcage but not topline than winner, tail correct for length and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with pleasing expression; good skull, nice dark eyes, correct ears and good dentition. Good angles front and rear and he stands well naturally on well arched feet. Gaiting well when viewed in profile. Well handled.
3. Campbell’s Swistir Black Velvet at Pursenet

1. Robson’s Silvergarth Hyperion. 12 mth old dog who presented a balanced outline with good neck, pleasing topline with arch over the loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Balanced head with good skull, dark expressive eyes and scissor bite. He stands true in front on good feet but needs to fill out. Steady mover with good rear action but could extend a little more in front on the go around.

1. McAuley’s Sambelco New Beginning. 18 mth old bitch who scored here for overall type and outline. She has pleasing curves, neck of good length, correct topline and tail of correct set and carriage. Feminine headpiece of good proportions, lovely eye and ear and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and moved true on the down and back and more than ok on the go around. Very well handled.
2. Parkes & McKay’s Jubrancy Spring Vacation. 2 yr old dog of sound construction but wasn’t quite as good in outline as winner. Neck of good length, deep brisket, tad flatter in topline but tail correct of good carriage. Good skull to muzzle proportions, rose-shaped ears and eyes of good colour but overall preferred expression of 1. He stands well naturally and has good feet and moved freely all through. Well handled.

1. McNally’s Ramita’s Lady of Slumber at Conekesheved. This was another varied class with my winner going to this 3 yr old bitch. Feminine all through and for me, she presented the best outline in the class. Elegantly arch neck of good length to balance, correct topline, arch over the loin and tail correct for length, set and carriage. Most attractive head with correct proportions, expressive eyes, rose-shaped ears and correct dentition. Stands straight in front but would like more fill. Gaiting well on the go around with good carriage. BOB.
2. Swain’s Falconcrag Eye Catcher. 18 mth old bitch who has lots to like. Muscular neck of good length, pleasing topline, deep brisket and tail of correct carriage. Nicely proportioned head with feminine expression, good eye and ear and scissor bite. Straight forelegs, good fill in front and stands on correct feet. Goes well on the down and back but winner had the edge on the go around.

Pleasing forechest and angles and moves true with desired width and goes well when viewed in profile too. Good coat. BOB.

Nicely proportioned head with dark eyes, slight arch to muzzle and correct dentition. Moving pretty well on the go around and when going away but front action could be more positive. Good quality coat.

1. Cumberland’s Mumysami One Honest Heart Taf. 21 mth old dog who won this class with room to spare but not entirely settled on the day. He presented a pleasing outline with good length of neck, firm topline, pretty good ribbing and tail of correct carriage. Masculine headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, ears set on high, expressive eye and good dentition. Good angles front and rear and pleasing forechest. Moves out well.
2. Barbi’s Dragonfly Sparks. 12 mth old bitch. Pleasing neck and topline, pretty good in rib but tail carried higher than preferred. Good head proportions with feminine expression, almond-shaped eyes of good colour, ears set on high and scissor bite. Well developed forechest and moved out on the go around although winner had the edge.
3. Brown’s Phencarr Silver Lady. Dapple bitch just coming up to 12 mths. Wouldn’t want her any bigger but she pleased in outline with good length of neck, correct topline, ribbing carried well back and tail of good carriage. Well proportioned head with feminine expression and correct dentition. Pleasing forechest. Moves out well enough on the go around. Nails need attention. Best Puppy.

1. Cumberland’s Mumysami Star Spangled Taf. 2 yr old bitch who I thought such a good type and size and she presented a pleasing outline. Slightly arched neck of good length, firm topline, ribbing extends well back, muscular loin and tail of good set and carriage. Attractive head with dark almond-shaped eyes, roman nose and scissor bite. She stands well in front and has a good forechest and is well angulated in the rear. Goes so well when viewed in profile and had such good carriage. BOB and later Group 4.

Excellent neck, firm level back, pleasing spring of rib but ribbing could extend a little further back and tail of correct carriage. Feminine head and expression with good proportions, very nice eye and ear, roman nose and scissor bite. Good angles both ends and prominent forechest. Moves out freely.

Attractive head and expression; skull proportionate in length to that of his slightly arched muzzle and very nice eye and ear. Stands on good feet. Goes well on the go around and ok on the down and back. BOB.
2. Holgate’s Alanea Scentimental. 7 mth old bitch who is full of attitude. Neck of pretty good length, good topline and muscular loin but tail carried a tad higher. Feminine head with dark eyes and pleasing proportions but overall preferred expression of 1. She stands somewhat wider in front and this reflects when gaiting but she went pretty well on the go around. Best Puppy.

1. Upton’s Denval Golden Moment. 2 yr old bitch standing alone here but worthy of company. I thought her a good type and she was presented in first class coat and condition. Balanced outline with very good neck, excellent topline, good length to ribcage and tail pleased for set and carriage. Most attractive head of good proportions, expressive eyes, ears set on high and scissor bite. Excellent front assembly and stands on very good feet. Pleasing profile action but unfortunately needed a bit more ‘go’ when gaiting. BOB.

1. Parkes & McKay’s Cloudside Warren with Jubrancy. 22 mth old dog. Showy lad who made the most of himself at all times. Neck of good length, excellent topline which he maintains whilst gaiting, pleasing rib and tail good for both set and carriage. Attractive head and expression, almond-shaped eyes, ears set on high and roman nose. Carrying good bone, he is well developed in forechest and moved out well on the go around. BOB.

Pleasing girl who presented a nicely balanced outline with slightly arched neck of good length, firm level back, rib developing well for age and ribcage of good length, short in the couplings and tail of good carriage. Attractive head with feminine expression; dark oval-shaped eyes, ears set on low and scissor bite. She stands well in front with prominent sternum and when gaiting, she really moved out well when viewed in profile. Very well handled. Best AV Imported Breed Register Hound.

1. Clark’s Atiqah Origen Charm of Thiefside (Imp Svk). 10 mth old Sloughi bitch. Promising youngster. Feminine throughout she presented a pleasing outline and has the desired elegance of the breed. Arched neck, correct topline, ribbed well back and tail correct for set and carriage. Attractive head of good proportions with oval-shaped eyes of good colour, slight stop and correct dentition. She stands on elongated oval feet but needs to fill in front as one would expect at this age. Moves out well when gaiting. Best Puppy AVNSC Hound and later Puppy Group 3.

Balanced lad with moderate length of neck, firm topline, ribbing developing well for age and carried well back but tail carried a tad higher. Good skull to muzzle proportions, eyes of good colour, ears set on well and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear but could stand tidier in front. Moves out well with good length of stride and nice and firm behind. Super temperament.

1. Clark’s Magida Sabiih Al Sahra at Thiefside (Imp Deu) ShCEx. Two nice ones challenged in this class with the nod going to this 7 yr old Sloughi bitch. Elegant girl who appealed for overall type and outline and was so good hands on. Nicely arched neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, good depth to brisket and ribbed well back, short in the couplings and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Feminine headpiece of correct proportions, expressive eyes, ears of correct set, refined muzzle and good dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and she stands true in front on correct feet and pleased for forechest. Gaiting freely all through with excellent self carriage. Best AVNSC Hound, Group 3, Best AV Hound Veteran and ended the day by taking Reserve Best Veteran in Show.

Masculine head and expression with good skull, eyes correct for shape and colour, ears set on level with the eyes and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation both ends and he stands on nice tight feet. Moves out well on the go around with good carriage. Harsh coat.

Muscular neck of good length, firm topline, excellent ribbing which extends well back and tail correct for both set and carriage. Pleasing head and expression with good eye and ear, strength to muzzle and correct dentition. She stands well in front with elbows close to the body and moved freely on the down and back. Good ridge. Very well handled.

I thought her good for type, she carries excellent bone and was pleasing to go over. Quality head giving impression of leanness, expressive eyes, ears set on low and correct dentition. Muscular neck, topline to settle but she has plenty of time on her side, rib developing well and stern of good carriage. Faultless gait on the down and back.

BIS Moss & Connolly’s Ch Ashmair Live To Tell Mamose ShCEx (Ikc). Bichon Frise dog approaching 3 yrs who was beautifully presented and so good hands on. Balanced boy with arched neck of good length, firm in topline, ribs well sprung and carried well back, breadth to loin and tail good for set and carriage. Correctly proportioned head, expressive eyes with desired haloes, flat cheeks and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and he stands well naturally on tight round feet. Gaiting freely with excellent carriage and expertly handled to take the top award.

Balanced in outline with clean neck of good length, level topline, ribbing developing well for age, short in the couplings and tail of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with breadth to skull, pleasing proportions and dark expressive eyes. Good angles front and rear and she stands well naturally and moved out so well on the go around and has super carriage for one so young.

BVIS Adair’s Ch King of Helluland Love Actually at Darebear (Imp) JW ShCM ShCEx OSW. Newfoundland bitch just coming up to 8 yrs. I thought this girl quite outstanding and she was an absolute delight to go over and presented here in first class condition. Beautiful outline with neck of correct length to balance, excellent topline, deep brisket, ribbed well back, muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. Quality head with broad skull, the best of eyes, ears set well back and breadth to muzzle. Soundly built both front and rear and she certainly didn’t let herself down when gaiting; moving freely with such good carriage.
