1. Pirrie, Isherwood & McEvoy’s Bourntwyn Honey I’m Home at Afterglow Taf. 9 mth bitch who obviously loves life such is her exuberance! Balanced outline with correct length of neck, short firm back, rib developing nicely for age, short loin and tail set on high. Super head and expression; dome to forehead, round eyes of good colour, symmetrical ears, prominent chin and excellent mouth. When settled goes so well in all directions with self-assured carriage. Best Puppy and went on to take Puppy Group 4.

1. Pirrie & McEvoy’s Guereza Queen of the Fairies. 12 mth old bitch who makes the most herself at all times. Sturdy and presenting a lovely outline with good neck, short back with firm topline, pleasing rib development, short loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Quality head with good skull, dark expressive eyes, correct ears, blunt muzzle, wide open nostrils and prominent chin. Soundly constructed, gaiting freely on the down and back and super on the go around with excellent carriage. BOB and pleased to hear she later took Group 2.
2. Milroy’s Sajatin Tara with Farthinghall (Imp Pol). 17 mth old bitch who wasn’t at all settled. Sturdily built with short back and correct topline, well sprung ribs but could extend further back and unfortunately unable to assess tail carriage on the day. Feminine headpiece with good skull, marked stop, dark expressive eyes, excellent nostrils and very good mouth. She stands straight in front but with more breadth than would prefer. Moves briskly on the go around. Good quality coat.

1. Dowsett’s Riogaioch King of Kings at Tteswood. 12 mth old dog. Smart youngster who was enjoying his time in the ring and showing himself off to advantage. He presented a pleasing outline with good neck, firm level back, ribbing developing well for age, short loin and tail set on high. Masculine head and expression; good skull with desired dome to forehead, excellent ears, eyes of good size and shape, wide open nostrils, prominent chin and good dentition. Stands true in front on compact feet. Impressed on the go around. Good coat.

1. Dowsett & Jackson’s Ch Avantgarde Italys Secret with Tteswood JW ShCEx OSW. 6 yr old dog. Sturdily built lad with short neck, excellent topline, well sprung ribs which are carried well back and tail good for both set and carriage. Pleasing headpiece with masculine expression; dark round eyes, symmetrical ears, good nostrils, short blunt muzzle and prominent chin. Stands straight in front and when gaiting he goes so well on the go around with excellent carriage. Good quality coat with very good texture. Reserve BOB.

Slightly arched neck of good length, correct topline, ribbing carried well back and tail good for both set and carriage. Attractive head with flat skull, nice dark eyes, excellent ears, slight stop and good dentition. Stands well naturally on correct feet and when gaiting, goes well on the go around with good carriage. Good coat and excellent rich tan. Best Puppy and Reserve BOB. Pleased to learn she later took Puppy Group 2.

1. Bailey & Hancocks’ Witchstone Silent Whisper. Two very different bitches challenged in this class. This 17 mth old came out on top. She presented a pleasing outline with neck of good length, correct topline which curves slightly as desired, deep chest and tail set on low. Head of good length but not quite as feminine as she could be in expression; having said that she has nice dark eyes, very good ears and a correct mouth. She stands well naturally and has correct feet. Goes ok on the go around.
2. Marsden’s Galvizach Royal Amethyst of Regalriver. 17 mth old who is more refined than the winner and needing more time. Neck of pleasing length, ok in topline, chest still to fully develop, ribbing extends well back and tail set on low. Good length to head, correct candle-flame shape to ears and nice dark almond-shaped eyes which are obliquely set. Stands on correct feet. Movement couldn’t quite match up to that of winner.

1. Whitehouse’s Amalric Coco Chanel with Dalmonde JW. 2 yr old bitch who was a comfortable winner in this class for me. Feminine all through, she presented a nicely balanced outline with slightly arch neck of good length, pleasing topline, deep chest, ribbing carried well back and tail set on low and of good carriage. Attractive head and expression; flat skull, dark almond-shaped eyes, very good ears and correct dentition. Standing true in front on good feet and moved well on the go around with good carriage. Good coat quality and correct for colour. BOB.
2. Serman’s Kikuchi Mulberry among Tymy. 22 mth old bitch. This girl also pleased for outline with a good length of neck, correct topline for the breed, nice depth to chest and tail set on low. Pleasing head but quite different in expression to that of winner; flat skull, correct candle-flame shaped ears, eyes of good colour and scissor bite. She stands true in front on correct feet and has a good turn of stifle. Pleasing profile action but winner had the edge coming towards.

1. Bowden’s Subessen The Wonder of You. 11 mth old dog. This youngster was lovely to go over and of sound construction. Muscular neck, firm topline with ribbing carried well back, strong loin, correct croup and tail carriage. Masculine head of good proportions with good breadth to skull, moderate stop, expressive eyes and strength to muzzle. Standing true in front and moves out with nice easy profile action. Good quality coat. Best Puppy.
2. Cooper’s Tybury’s Origin of Hope. 9 mth old bitch who was close up to the winner. Feminine throughout she pleased in outline with slightly arched neck, level back with good length to ribcage and tail correct for set and carriage. Pleasing head and expression with expressive eyes, good pigmentation and scissor bite. Very nice profile action and carriage. Coat of good texture and well presented.

1. Atkins & Charles’ Clanwillow Crown of Roses for Snikkles JW. 20 mth bitch, standing alone here but worthy of company. Totally feminine, she pleased in outline with slightly arched neck of moderate length, firm level topline, goo depth to chest, ribbing carried well back and tail correct for set and carriage. Well proportioned head with breadth to skull, moderate stop, expressive eyes placed well apart and correct dentition. Pleasing angles and stands nice and straight in front. Moving freely with good carriage. BOB.

Pleasing angles both ends and goes so well on the go around with good carriage. Reserve BOB.
2. Butler’s Calowych Moana at Baxilby JW. 3 yr old bitch. Feminine all through with moderate length of neck, firm topline, good depth to chest and tail of correct carriage. Head of good proportions with pleasing expression; eyes placed well apart, strength to muzzle and good dentition. Standing well naturally and although she goes well enough on the go around, the winner had the edge. Good quality coat and well handled.
3. Bevis’ Ramsgrove Sunshine at Beabeardies

1. Naismith’s Shaggybo Mineral Mist. 9mth old dog who greatly appealed. I thought him an excellent type and he presented such a good outline with gracefully arched neck of correct length to balance, compact in body with correct topline, excellent ribbing for age and muscular loin. Quality head and expression with excellent skull, eyes placed well apart, strength to muzzle and good dentition. He carries super bone and has good angles front and rear. Impressed on the go around with required ‘effortless extension’. Coat of excellent texture and very well presented. BOB & Best Puppy, Group 3 and Puppy Group 1. So pleased to hear he ended the day by taking Best Puppy in Show.
2. Deakin’s Amblehart Mr Banks at Darwillow. 7 mth old dog who carries plenty of bone and presents a nice square outline. Strong neck of good length, short back and firm in topline, ribbing carried well back and muscular loin. Masculine headpiece with good breadth to skull, expressive eyes, nice strong muzzle and correct dentition. He stands nice and straight in front and has good feet. Couldn’t quite match profile action of the winner. Good quality coat and presentation.

1. Howsam’s Melleonars Keep It Cool Branston at Jandoes (Imp Deu). Both pleased here. My winner was this 16 mth old dog who carries super bone. He presented a well balanced outline with strong neck of good length, compact in body with pleasing topline, good depth to chest, ribcage carried well back and strength to loin. Well proportioned head with masculine expression; capacious skull, eyes set well apart and scissor bite. He stands true in front with pleasing forechest and elbows are close to sides. Went well on the go around with good carriage. Coat of good texture and very well presented. Reserve BOB.
2. Castle’s Molyneux Just You Wait. 14 mth old bitch. Feminine all through and she too presents a very nice outline with arched neck of good length, short back, ribcage extending well back and muscular loin. Attractive head with good skull and proportions, eyes placed well apart, strength to muzzle and good dentition. Not quite as well developed in forechest as winner but she has plenty of time on her side. When settled moved out nicely on the go around. Good coat and presentation.

1. Adams’ Makaylen Majestic Lady. 2 yr old bitch. This girl presented the desired square outline of the breed. Neck of good length to balance, short back with pleasing topline and good length to ribcage. Head of good proportions with feminine expression; eyes set well apart, strong muzzle and good dentition. Carrying nice bone and stands true in front. Moving well when coming towards but could open up more on the go around. Coat of good texture.

1. Smee & Coleman’s Blacktide Bolts Son among Schnaubern. 8 mth old dog. Sturdily built youngster who presented the square outline of the breed. Slightly arched neck of correct length to give balance, short back with firm topline, ribbing carried well back, short in the couplings and tail set on high. Pleasing head and expression with correct breadth to skull, expressive eyes, excellent ears, nice dark pigmentation and scissor bite. Good length of leg and moves out with correct length of stride for the breed. Good coat and presentation. Reserve BOB & Best Puppy and Puppy Group 4.

1. Smee & Coleman’s Ir Ch Mykabel Electra Star from Schnaubern. 3 yr old bitch. Pleasing girl for type and good hands on too. She is nice and square with moderate length of neck, firm topline, excellent ribbing, nice short loin and tail set on well. Feminine headpiece of good proportions, expressive eyes, the best of ears, nice dark palate and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and moves out well on the go around and uses herself as she goes. Crisp texture to coat and very well presented. BOB.

1. Davis & Walsh’s Rosschell Maid Out of the Blu. Lovely class to judge with some really promising youngsters present. This 10 mth old blue merle Australian Shepherd came out on top and I thought her something very special. Carrying good bone, she presented a super outline with slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, level topline, excellent ribbing for age, breadth to loin and correct croup. Attractive head and expression; well proportioned, correct shaped eye, ears set on high and scissor bite. Soundly built all through and a pleasure to watch gaiting; true on the down and back and so good on the go around too. Very well handled. Reserve Best AVNSC Pastoral, Best AVNSC Pastoral Puppy and later Puppy Group 2, where she pushed the OES all the way.
2. Lloyd’s Arianrhod Havukruunu (AI). Just short of 12 mths, this black/tan Finnish Lapphund dog also appealed. He pleased for type, is well boned and was good hands on. Moderate length of neck, firm topline, good length to ribcage, deep brisket and tail good for both set and carriage. Most appealing head and expression, all male yet free from any suggestion of coarseness; slightly rounded forehead, dark eyes of correct shape, ears set well apart and scissor bite. He stands straight in front on oval-shaped feet and moved out briskly.
3. Benton & Bemelmans’ Blamorder Double or Quits of Oakestelle

2. Allen’s Craigycor A Sweet Treat for Headholme. 13 mth Pembroke Corgi bitch. Not entirely relaxed but she did more than enough to secure this place here. She is far from maturity but she was good to go over and presented a pleasing outline with good length of neck, firm topline, rib developing nicely, strength to loin and full tail. Feminine headpiece with excellent ears, eyes of good colour and scissor bite; would just like a tad more fill below the eye. Soundly constructed both ends, standing well in front with good forechest. Moving freely on the down and back.
3. Reilly’s Mangrove Xiphos Spartan Swordsman at Darmaror (AI) (Imp Bel) Taf

1. Kass’ Fostebrie I Am Mika at Kimarlaz. 15 mth fawn Briard dog. This lad was a comfortable winner in this class for me. All male, carrying very good bone and presenting a lovely outline. Muscular neck of good length, firm level back, good depth to chest, ribbed well back, correct croup and tail good for set and carriage. Well proportioned head with expressive eyes, ears set on high and strength to muzzle. He stands well naturally both ends and on the move he opened up well on the go around and used himself as he went. Correct dry coat and very well presented and handled. Best AVNSC Pastoral.
2. Metcalf’s Koczkodan Well I Never. 2 yr old tricolour Smooth Collie dog. There’s lots to like about this fellow but he is still some way from maturity. He pleased for outline with good length of neck, firm topline, good depth to chest and tail good for set and carriage. Balanced head with very good ears, expressive eyes and clean cheeks but a little more stop than preferred. He stands true in front on good feet and is nicely angulated in the rear. Moving pretty well all through. Good texture to coat.
3. Hulse’s Twinan Raise The Bar for Fablecroft

1. Reilly’s Endearing Warrior at Darmaror JW. 2 yr old GSD dog. Pleasing outline with clean neck of good length, deep brisket, ribbed well back, muscular loin and tail of good carriage. Nicely proportioned head with expressive almond-shaped eyes, ears set on high, good planes and correct dentition. Standing true in front with firm pasterns but toes could be more arched. Moving well when going away and pretty well on the go around.

Attractive head with feminine expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, almond-shaped eyes, ears set on high and correct dentition. 2. Conniford’s Remember The Time Vom Sutumer-Grund (Imp Deu). 11 mth old White Swiss Shepherd Dog bitch. Promising pup who presented a nicely balanced outline with well arched neck, firm level topline, rib developing well for age, muscular loin and tail set on low. Feminine headpiece with very good ears, expressive eyes and scissor bite. Stands a little untidy in front right now but doesn’t reflect when gaiting and she opens up well when viewed in profile too. 1. Austin & Zolakova’s Hysteps Come By. Approaching 8 mths, this Border Collie dog was pleasing to go over and so very well handled here. Slightly arched neck of good length, firm topline, pleasing rib development for age, muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Quality head and expression; fairly broad skull, excellent eye and ear, distinct stop and scissor bite. Soundly constructed and stands well naturally. Gaiting freely with good carriage.
2. Reilly’s Mangrove Xiphos Spartan Swordsman at Darmaror (AI) (Imp Bel) Taf. 8 mth old Pyrenean Mountain Dog. Strong neck, firm topline, good depth to chest, rib developing well for age and tail correct for length and set. He has a super head and expression; masculine yet no suggestion of coarseness, excellent eye and ear, strength to muzzle and well pigmented. Pleasing action on the go around with good carriage but needs to firm up on the down and back. Good quality coat.
3. Knott’s Zuni Someone U Loved Fallcat

1. Benton’s Ch Oakestelle Artemis ShCEx VW. 7 yr old blue merle Smooth Collie bitch. Balanced girl with well arched neck, firm topline, ribbing carried well back and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with good proportions and planes, obliquely set eyes of good colour and flat cheeks. Standing well naturally and doing everything that was asked of her. Moving out nicely on the go around and very well handled.
2. Shahmatova’s Nashdom All Eyes On You JW. 3 yr old Border Collie dog. This lad pleased for outline with muscular neck of good length, firm topline and deep chest but I would have liked a little more covering. Very nice head and expression; of good proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes, good ears, strong muzzle and good dentition. Pleasing front assembly and stands true on oval-shaped feet. Covers the ground when gaiting and another well handled.

1. Bowden’s Ch Subessen Blaze of Fire VW. 10 yr old Bearded Collie bitch who was a standout for me in this class. Totally feminine and good hands on. Balanced in outline with slightly arched neck of moderate length, firm level topline, ribbing extending well back, strong loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Head of good proportions, expressive eyes set well apart, moderate stop and scissor bite. Soundly constructed, standing well naturally and covers the ground on the go around with good carriage. Presented in first class order.
2. Isdale’s Viewdale Cuddly Dudley JW. 8 yr old sable/white Shetland Sheepdog dog. This boy was lovely to go over and shown here in super coat and condition. Nicely arched neck, correct topline, pleasing rib, croup sloping gradually and tail good for length, set and carriage. Head of good proportions with very nice expression; super eye and ear and flat cheeks. He stands true in front and moved freely on the down and back and pleased on the go around too.

1. Lee & Ratcliffe’s Sh Ch Arrodare True Legend. 4 yr old Border Collie dog. Soundly constructed lad who very much appealed. All male with no suggestion of coarseness. Slightly arched muscular neck, firm topline, excellent rib and loin and tail set on low and of correct carriage. Quality head with super expression; well proportioned, best of eyes and ears, distinct stop and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and stands nice and straight in front and is well muscled all through. Moving freely with characteristic carriage of the breed and so very well handled.
2. Hateley’s Ch Mohnesee Sweet Dreams JW. Sable/white Shetland Sheepdog bitch, one day short of becoming a veteran. Totally feminine and so good to go over. Well arched neck of correct length to balance, pleasing topline, excellent ribbing, croup sloping gradually as it should leading to low set on of tail which she carries correctly. Quality headpiece with correct proportions, planes, stop and flat cheeks. She has an exquisite eye, correct for size and shape and obliquely set and her ears, which are of correct size, are used at all times to complete the picture. Covers the ground on the go around and was so well handled here.

4. Cowley’s Kashbeluli There We Are Then JW. 2 yr old black Hungarian Puli dog. I have met this lad before and today he put in a sterling performance to complete a lovely line-up. Sturdy with correct bone for the breed, he presents the desired square outline with firm topline, excellent ribbing, short loin, slightly sloping croup and tail of correct set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with slight dome to skull, well defined stop, expressive eyes, ears set on as they should be, scissor bite and nice dark palate. Good angles front and rear and moving freely on the down and back. Good quality coat and excellent presentation.

3. Barwick’s Tobermoray Touch of Class. 10 mth old Border Collie dog. Another quality youngster in this very good puppy group. He was so good hands on and presented a cracking outline with muscular neck of good length to balance, firm topline, rib developing as it should be, muscular loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Well proportioned head with super expression; good eye and ear, and correct dentition. Well made all through with particularly impressive forequarters. Moves out well with correct carriage.

1. Skinner’s Whitesquall Mionetto. 14 mth old brindle/white trim Whippet bitch. A comfortable winner in this class for me. Feminine throughout and presenting a very nice outline with neck of good length, pleasing topline, good depth to chest, graceful arch over the loin, correct underline and tail good for set and carriage. Head of correct proportions, lean as desired with good length, expressive eyes, rose-shaped ears and scissor bite. Pleasing angles both ends and didn’t let herself down when gaiting.
2. Thomas & Print’s Bilarny Hotcross Bun. 21 mth old Irish Terrier dog. This lad has a super temperament and was very well handled here. Clean neck, firm topline, depth to brisket, muscular loin and tail set on well. Pleasing head with super eye, ears set well on, strong jaw and good dentition. Moving well enough all through and using himself at all times.
