Thank you to the committee for the honour of judging at this 150th anniversary show, it was a lovely day and my stewards were fabulous

Puppy (2,0)

What a super start to the day with these two poppets, both minor puppies.

1. Lewis & Moreland’s Potterdale Prime Rose Taf

Very well balanced and confident baby, very classic in outline with correct proportions and nice bone, totally feminine, very well-muscled for her age, liked her head and eye with such a soft expression, strength to muzzle, very nice neck and layback of shoulder, firm topline and ribs well sprung for age, strong in rear and moved soundly off low set hocks, well coated and prepared and handled to advantage, promises very well for the future BP.

2. Steer-Eldridge’s Gwalltafwyn Gwenllian

Confident and typical youngster, a little finer than 1 but again well proportioned, lean and lithe with length from the rib, still to develop and broaden in skull, nice neck and front with chest developing, full of fun on the move, sound and parallel holding a good topline with tail well carried.

1. Edward’s Breaksea It's Time At Nellbrook

Very feminine bitch with substance but no cloddiness, lovely balanced head, proportionate to her frame and a soft expression, with width to jaw. Well balanced all through, with correct height to length ratios, length from the rib with a short loin. Tail well set and carried. Held a firm topline moving, covered the ground well. Well-fitting coat, very close decision between her and the lovely male placed 2nd, splitting hairs, very nice prospect.

2. Collins’ Full Of The Dickens Winner Takes It All For Kingswud

Lovely masculine dog with a super head, proportionate to his frame with a pleasing expression from dark eyes. Good length of arched neck with layback of shoulder and good upper arm, well bodied retaining leanness in outline with length coming from his rib, balanced rear angulation, moves with reach and drive, coat changing, super youngster.

3. Mitchell’s Beabeardies Grace Kelly

1. Cox’s Braesnobel Salt N'pepper For Coirantee

Nice dog with a good head and expression, liked his overall make and shape, well-muscled with a good chest and rib, firm level topline, enough neck, sound in rear, he had a well-fitting harsh coat, a little heavy which made him look chunky but he was lean and active.

2. Richard’s Wildan’s Dark Sky at Elemark

Liked this unexaggerated girl of classic type, she moved well but 1 had a touch more scope in front, balanced head with a lovely expression, good neck and level topline, well ribbed, balanced, moderate angulation, in good quality coat and moving out soundly.

1. Salmon’s Potterdale Heritage ShCEx

Masculine and very well balanced dog who moved around the ring so fluidly, excellent head proportions & good dark eyes, good length of arched neck, with correct shoulder angulation, well set withers, depth of chest and good length and spring of rib, muscular loin, croup correct and tail of good length and set on, excellent rear, strong, low set hocks, well-fitting coat of correct texture, impressed for his parallel driving rear with complementary forward reach, holding shape and firmness throughout BOB

2. Dumbrell’s Brodaty Limited Edition at Bethlyntee

Another masculine male, slightly heavier than 1 but free from cloddiness and the required lean and lithe collie, broad well shaped skull with good strength in muzzle, kind soft eye toning with his brown coat, well- muscled and boned with a good neck leading into a sound front assembly, good body proportions and very well-muscled, firm top-line, plenty of daylight under him and a really well-textured coat, moved out with an easy, sound stride to place over 3, another really nice dog just not co-operating with his handler today nor showing the movement he was built for.

1. Edward’s Ch Nellsbrook Pure Imagination JW

Such a classy blue with a well-proportioned, feminine head with eye and pigment toning with her colour, good length of arched neck onto a well angulated front with depth of chest and length of back from ribs. Lovely sound rear, very classic for type and moves as one piece with easy ground covering action, presented in super coat and condition, pushed hard for BOB, top quality girl RBOB.

2. Robertson’s Heather Mist Miss Tillietudlem at Quothquan (Imp Swe)

Won her place on her free and easy movement. Well-shaped head with feminine soft expression, moderate length neck, well laid shoulder, good depth of chest, harsh brown coat covered the ground easily correct coat texture.

8 months, very promising strong, well boned, well-marked male with a nice outline, masculine skull with defined stop, dark eyes, strong, medium neck. Liked his shoulders, firm in topline, well-muscled with strong hocks, nice easy action, lovely personality, BOB, BP.

2. KING, Mrs Rebecca & GREEN, Mrs Jackie & DEDMAN, Mr Arvella Busy Bea

Very nice confident b of good type, strong but feminine head with flat skull and strong muzzle, dark almond eyes. Firm body, slightly longer in loin, good bone for her size and tight feet. Good rear angulation with plenty of drive RBOB.

I liked her clean skull and head proportions, defined stop, clean skull, dark eye showing no haw. Square with medium length neck, balanced in angulation and well-muscled for age, stands on tight cat feet, moved sound in all directions, needs to mature all-round, plenty of time. BOB

2. Cherry’s Cherryforge Rebel At Heart

Just 6 months and very promising medium-sized dog, very well-balanced head, dark eyes, strong boned, good reach of neck and topline firm, needs to fill of course, good feet and strong rear, confident and very well presented and handled. BP.

Lovely square, well balanced girl, liked her head, muzzle strength and lip placement, dark eyes, holds a good topline with depth to chest. Moves soundly, just preferred the neck and carriage of 1 today.

1. Godwin’s Sultash Charisma

Feminine, well-balanced head with dark eyes. Clean outline with correct length of neck, good topline and angles. Square with maturity of chest and well ribbed, moved soundly, missed out on BOB as not moving as freely as the winner but she is built for it and has so much to like RBOB today but could easily change places.

B/t b who is very nice for size and proportions, she has lovely head and expression, well ribbed square shapely body, very smart with clean lines, she moved well coming and going, shown and handled well.

Medium size red male with a breed typical head, neat high set ears, dark eyes, nicely arched neck, muscular firm body with a strong topline, well ribbed back and short muscular loin. Moved out freely, good reach in front and strong rear rotary drive BOB

2. Mordacz & Lewczuk Calvaxar Bad Boy Lincoln at Danixaris

Very smart red with elegant lines, well-proportioned wedge-shaped head with dark oval eyes and well-set ears, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, has good bone and tight feet, very positive and easy mover, pushed 1 very hard RBOB.

Very feminine and well proportioned being slightly longer than high, head and muzzle show promise, dark eyes with a keen expression, medium in neck and well laid shoulders, firm topline, well balanced rear with a good tailset, very easy mover, full of enthusiasm, developing along the right lines and very breed typical BP.

Impressive young dog of correct proportions, has robustness and width without being heavy. Well grown, broad at withers and has a good chest for his age, good balance of skull to muzzle with depth and breadth and defined stop, dark eyes and keen expression. Strong neck, balanced to the rest of his body for length and width, firm topline, short muscular loin, well-muscled rear, exuberant on the move but sound and true with a lightness of foot, dense, curled coat, RBOB.

PWD of lovely quality, feminine head with enough width, intense expression from dark well pigmented eyes, good proportions, balanced and compact, well-ribbed, short strong neck, sufficient bone, well angulated all through, covered the ground very actively, holding a firm topline, good tail set and carriage, very good rear with medium angulation and well-muscled, excellent coat and condition, presented a very finished picture BOB.

2. Hopkins & Gottdenker Ch Claircreek Pure Art (imp CAN)

Mature and very appealing male with strength and robustness, very good head, eyes and pigment. Correct moderate angulation, nice broad chest, slightly shorter neck, super body with good ribbing and a strong loin, moved very soundly, lovely presentation, easy to see why he’s a Ch, very moderate all round and so fit for function.

1. Lusty’s Can’t Stop The Music Blamorder

Well grown, smart dog with very good proportions and a clean outline. Head is masculine and well balanced in skull to muzzle rations, good reach of neck, proportionate to his frame, good spring of rib and firm topline, correct angulation, well marked blue merle, won on his very scopey gait with firm driving rear action BP, RBOB.

2. Hodges’s Rosschell Maid To Sparkle With Jopium

A very pretty, feminine and smart b with, fluid on the move and a very attractive shape. Head with some development to do, nice neck and correct medium angulation, well boned with chest developing and a firm body, moved very well, so appealing for type and construction, these two could easily change places on another day.

A lovely balanced male, with a super outline and gait. Well proportioned head, could carry a touch more masculinity, lovely neck and front with good depth of chest, bone matches his size, a firm topline, well-coated, in lovely fit condition and very smooth and efficient on the move, shows himself off to his best advantage, very smart dog BOB

Vallhund who is a real character, could be a bit sturdier, liked the balance of his skull and muzzle, good reach of neck, well ribbed with a firm topline, active mover and held a good topline.

Very correct and attractive Pumi, feminine and so typical, excellent head, slight stop and expressive eyes and ears, correct neck and front with prominent withers, muscular body, with firm back and short loin, correct tail set with curled tail, moderate balanced angulation giving energetic and brisk movement BAVNSC

Very nice young White Swiss Shepherd Dog of good overall type. Head is masculine with correct planes, good length of arched neck, good lay of shoulders and well ribbed back, chest developing, firm in back and loin, stands true and moves very soundly with good reach and drive BIR.

2. HENSHAW’s Whitehemi's Crossley

Icelandic sheepdog who was most charming, lovely head and expression with well set ears, almond shaped dark eyes and dark pigment, still developing in body, but good neck and rib with a firm level topline, well balanced in angulation and tail of good length and carriage, required double dewclaws, well coated and free and easy on the move BP.
