Thank you so much for inviting me to judge Golden Retrievers, I loved my judging. Difficult decisions , good dogs and supportive exhibitors . I very much enjoy judging in Scotland , it feels like coming home.

Class Puppy (3,2)

1st, Clarkson’s Drumkilty Nollaig Shona,

Lovely puppy , so balanced , she presents a lovely outline on the stack , I loved her head and expression, good chiselling , well set ears , muzzle with good depth , neck muscular and good length sits cleanly into withers , good forechest and body has plenty of heart room , short coupled and well bent styles with plenty width to second thigh. Movement was excellent, she has super front reach ,very true in front and rear, a joy to watch . BP & PG 3 , shown in super dense coat.

2nd, Campbell, Milliemags She’s A Rainbow, not as mature in body as 1st , pretty expression , head balanced , shoulders well laid back and short coupled , rear quarters are well angulated and used them well on the move . Tail carriage good , would have liked to have seen a little more reach in front.

Class Junior (3,1)

1st, Clarkson’s Drumkilty Nollaig Shona

Repeat of puppy

2nd, Purdue, Thornywaite Bring Me Luck

Smaller all through but very balanced , loved her soft expression, well set ears, head broad and in balance with muzzle , front and rear angles balanced. On the move , I just felt she was a little close behind today. She neverless showed enough reach in front.

Class Postgraduate (5,1)

1st Palmer, Linirgor Lady Of Cairnglen, liked her for overall balance and shape , head of good type , soft expression , broad skull and good pigment. Good length of neck , straight front, deep through ribs giving plenty of heart room. Round feet . Rear quarters well angulated with width to second thigh, moved well , keeping her level topline.

2nd Campbell, Milliemags Jean Genie , this girl looked so much happier on the move than the stack , the prettiest of expressions. Very feminine all through . Moved with reach and drive. She just needs to relax when stood.

3rd Mc Donald, Lamancha Time Traveller JW

Class Limit (4,1)

1st Campbell , Linirgor Cuddle, another who presented a balanced outline , head typy with soft expression , shoulders well laid back , level topline and good finish to croup. Carried herself well on the move, true front and rear used her tail correctly. Little in between coat.

2nd , Macleod, Bluebraes Bidey In At Rocamar, masculine head with a kind expression, well set ears , muscular neck of good length , little loose in front , stood on neat feet. Moved with reach and drive.

3rd Wallis, Lamancha Roll On Good Times,

Class Open (3)

1st Hain, Fhairmhor Wee Midden At Strathain, won this class and BOB , on overall construction and movement, balanced and nothing exaggerated. Super front construction, ample fore-chest , straight front and strong in topline with good tail set .

Moved true front and rear , so easy to watch her stride round the ring showing reach and drive in equal proportions . Tail used correctly , shown in super muscular condition. Pleasure to award her BOB

2nd Mc Donald , Lamancha Obsidian Flame, preferred her head in type , chiselling present and good finish to muzzle , neck of good length , shoulders well placed . Level topline , would prefer neater feet. Moved well , loved her in side profile.

3rd Wallis, Blue Gemstone Katrina At Camellis
