Mid Western Gundog Society 29th June 2025 Many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge , a super well run show , although the weather was hot the rings were in the shade and the dogs were kept cool. Many thanks to my stewards for all their hard work . Lagotto ; Class Puppy 1st Byphar Havana Club BP super puppy of 8 months , Square in outline,, head of good breed type and muzzle strong and wedge shape, slight stop. Short neck sitting into shoulders cleanly, compact body , topline with a very slight slope and strong rear quarters , super coat coming through with even curls over body , excelled on the move, smooth and showing drive with a raised tail . Very promising. 2nd Sikama Stargazing , liked his head and expression . Short neck and compact body , rear quarters wellstrong and raised tail in movement. Coat a little looser but still only in puppy coat. Moved steady. Yearling 1st Bedeslea Prada Paradoxe BOB , a young man I judged as a puppy , he is really coming together now. Masculine head with strong wedge muzzle, front tight and good strength to bones , square in outine and super coat of even curls , he comes into his own on the move , he has super smooth action and shows drive , tail raised in action 2nd Tigre Di Casa Ghini RBOB , nice square shape , head not too broad and wedge shaped muzzle, straight front and strong rear quarters , tail carried well on the move , coat of good curls and texture. Graduate 1st Bedeslea Prada Paradoxe repeat of yearling 2nd Rajo Del Carpino Nero , liked him for type , little bit more raw but super head , good expression , strong wedge muzzle and short neck and compact body , rear movement was not so clean today . Good coat. Spanish waterdog Graduate 1st Adormidera Apache Rose At Cravessa BOB, medium in size , flat skull and slight stop , ears not too large , short strong neck , deep chest and well sprung ribs , moderate in angulations but good width to second thigh , coat of even curls with woolly texture , movement was brisk , showing excellent drive. A lovely bitch Open 1st Rommy De Ubbadat JW ( IMP Swe) another typey bitch , good head with parallel planes and kind expression. Deep chest and well sprung ribs, moderate angulations and lovely tidy feet . Moved well . coat of good texture. AV Setter & Pointer Class puppy 1st Sonham Just Good Friends (AI) , super pointer , elegant and curvy , long neck well laid shoulders , super angulations and she used her hind quarters very well to power around the ring . 2nd Bluesprings Love Of My Life For Shirlilah, pretty girl , who is coming on lovely , she stands over her ground well , longish neck and slightly gentle slope to her topline, deep chest and well developed rear quarters , moved steady and true. Making good use of her tail . 3rd Droveborough Black Magic Yearling 1st Tenshilling Schboom JW Best Of , super male , masculine head with a kind expression , super reach of neck and the best of fronts, he is a very balanced dog with a curvy outline , strong but elegant , He is super on the move covering a lot of drive and drives from his rear quarters. Shown in super condition. 2nd Teisgol Alohomora , pretty girl , with elegance, curvy and good underline , straight front and shown in super condition , moved well . 3rd Droveborough’s Hells Bells Open 1st Tenshilling To Sir With Love JW , spoilt with a lovely choice of pointers , very feminine and lovely head with slight dish and kind eye , good length of neck and deep through chest , she moved well and used her tail correctly. Working Gundog 1st Warrentor Bold As Brass JW SGWC WGC , masculine boy , well put together with correct bone and substance . he has a kind express and strong front good fore chest and well angulated and muscled rear quarters , he powered around the ring super drive from strong hocks . He used his tail well . 2nd Fieldberry Secret Weapon At Rufusmoor JW SGWC , Another lovely type who was well constructed and shown in strong musculature condition.
