I sincerely thank the Wickford, Basildon & District Canine Society committee for this invitation. I was very pleased and honored that they entrusted me with the terriers to judge at this beautiful show, where we enjoyed glorious weather. I would also like to thank my steward, who was very pleasant and helpful. My gratitude also goes to the exhibitors who showed me fair play and kindness. TERRIER GROUP A.V. TERRIER PUPPY Entries 2 Absentees 1 1st – 595 – LOJZA GAREX (CESKY TERRIER) A young gray/blue male, almost 1 year old. Excellent general type, excellent head, eye shape and ear carriage, good teeth, well-built dog, very good legs, excellent angulations, the topline is typical and solid, and the gaits are parallel. If his shy character improves, he could aim for great results in shows. POST GRADUATE Entries 6 Absent 4 1st – 586 – BLUE REBEL SUNSET (BORDER TERRIER) A charcoal and fawn female with a correct head and expression, the teeth are good, the chest is too powerful for a female, the topline is correct, the angulations could be a little more pronounced, the movement should show more ease, parallel movement. 2nd – 599 – KENLEAP HOLLY BROOK (JACK RUSSELL TERRIER) A 1-year-old white and fawn female, not yet mature, with a lovely head, very good expression, and good teeth. The front and rear angulations are insufficient, and the topline should be tighter. OPEN Entries 3 Absent 2 1st – 606 – ALPORT NO SURRENDER (STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER) A very beautiful dark brindle female with an excellent head and expression, good teeth, excellent shoulder, slightly short humerus, excellent chest, and very good topline. The rear could use just a little more angulation. The movement is parallel in the front but knits in the rear. In excellent condition. VETERAN Entries 4 Absent 1 1st – 558 - CH. HILLSTED SAME AGAIN (WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER) Female with an excellent head and superb expression, good teeth, typical long neck, excellent shoulders and topline, excellent bone and substance, excellent chest, very nice dynamic and parallel movement that could benefit from a little more angulation in the rear, in excellent condition. 2nd – 607 - ASHSTOCK AURORA (STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER) Fawn female with a very good head, the stop could be a little more pronounced and the eyes a little less flush, good teeth, excellent construction, moves very well for her age, in excellent condition. 3rd – 593 - CH. KOMIDION PRIMA DONNA OF SAMETOVA (CESKY TERRIER) Gray/blue female, excellent head and expression, correct teeth, excellent forequarters, correct topline, should finish with a graceful arch on the loin and rump, rear angulations are a little tight, parallel movement, in excellent condition.
