I would like to thank the Committee for the invitation to judge here today, it’s always lovely to see all the Spitz Breeds competing together.

SAMOYED

Super entry considering it was their Samoyed of The Year competition.

Puppy 9-3

What a super class with five litter mates competing here together and they were so similar, I had a job to split them.

1st Howlett; Artsam Bedazzled for Tiksi; 8 month old bitch, this little bitch I felt was so beautifully balanced, graceful and confident. Head developing with nice wedge shape, dark almond shaped eyes with well pigmented rims, nose and lips black with ears well placed, nicely arched neck sitting well into shoulders, body firm for age with strong loin, well developed hindquarters with nice muscle tone which showed in her movement with steady easy strides. Topped with a harsh thick coat that had the correct amount of undercoat. BP & RBOB plus shortlisted in Puppy Group & 4th in RBOB Stakes

2nd Hunt; Artsam Beloved; 8 month old bitch, litter sister to 1st and they are so similar, I just felt her body at this stage wasn’t quite as developed as her sister but they will change, still has the easy movement which put her above 3rd.

3rd McGreade; Vandreem Imperial Ocean For Frostia: 6 month old bitch

Special Yearling 2

1st Hunt; Artsam Beloved; 8 month old bitch, 2nd in Puppy, felt she was more steady on the move than 2nd

2nd Mann; Bennettia Princess Ariel; 11 month old bitch, feminine wedge head, dark eyes, well pigmented rims, pleasing overall body shape but today left her coat behind, moved steady.

Limit 3-1

1st McGreade; Taronakit’s It’s Kaboo for Frostia; 3 year old bitch, friendly smiley expression, wedge shaped head with neat ears, dark eyes with super pigmentation, muscular neck, well placed shoulders, chest of good depth, ribs well sprung, firm loin, with good rear angulation, neat feet. Lovely thick coat, tail carried well over back. Moved freely which won her the class.

2nd Mann; Silbertips And All That Jazz JW; 3 year old bitch; very similar to first, just slightly longer cast in the body, not quite as positive on the move.

Open 3-1

1st Young; Cocosamel Camelia JW; 4 year old, slightly bigger bitch but felt she was more balanced on the move. Pleasing head with soft expression, dark well pigmented eyes, erect neat ears, muscular neck, shoulders well laid back, body firm, well bent stifle. Profuse outer coat, tail carried over back.

2nd Hunt; Ch Artsam Adored; 6 year old, liked this bitch very much and notice she is the dam of pups in the puppy class. Lovely type feminine head with super expression, lovely almond eye shape, mobile erect ears, muscular neck, shoulders well laid back with good chest and firm body, nice rear angulation and firm hocks, coat coming back in, felt she didn’t get into her stride today and her front movement wasn’t as positive as her construction suggested.

Veteran 3-1

1st Young; Cocosamel Misia; 8 year old bitch, dam of open winner, nice overall shape and balance, pleasing head and expression, lovely dark eyes, black pigmentation to nose and lips, neat well placed ears, neck of medium length going into well laid shoulders, chest of good depth with well sprung rib and firm loin, well rounded hindquarters, well bent stifle with hocks parallel. In harsh coat, I liked her free easy gait. BOB

2nd Young; Furzeland Devon Blaze Avec Cocosamel; 10 year old male, beginning to show signs of age around head and muzzle. Still has profuse stand-off coat and moved well if somewhat vocally.
