Well run show by a small friendly committee, with super entries across all the breeds. I really enjoyed my breeds today thank you for the invitation and entries.

Norwegian Elkhound

Five super dogs and I was literally splitting hairs between them in the classes. All super fit

Limit

1st 335 - Laakso Julaften (Miss T Mortimer) 2 year old male, sturdily built giving a pleasing outline, wedge shaped head with nice width to skull, ears set high and erect, dark eyes with lovely friendly expression, strong jaws, muscular neck with nice fore chest, shoulders sloping with strong body, slight tuck up with powerful hindquarters, high set tail carried over back, dense coarse coat, parallel when viewed going away and back, looked like he could go all day. BOB

2nd 331 - Norvin Krackjen (Mr N Cuss)2.5 year old male, similar to first just slightly heavier build but lovely sound dog.

1st 332 Norvin Orkla (Mr N Cuss) 4 year old male, lovely masculine wedge shaped head, large erect ears, well placed dark expressive eyes, well-muscled neck with dense ruff, well placed shoulders with firm body, moderate tuck up, ample bone, high set tail carried over back, parallel going away and back effortless gait, RBOB just preferred limit winner’s overall shape in challenge.

2nd 333 - Ch Laakso Canute (Miss T Mortimer) 8 year old male, not showing any signs of ageing, super muscle tone and condition, wedge shaped head, lovely bright oval eyes, mobile ears set high, muscular neck, well laid shoulders, chest deep with good breadth, firm back, high set tail just not quite the stride of first. BVIB

1st 334 - Laakso Gunni (Miss T Mortimer) 4 year old bitch and notice she’s the dam of limit winner, Could see her lovely outline as she was slightly out of coat. Feminine wedge shaped head, dark oval eyes, nice ear placement that were mobile, very attentive to handler, muscular neck with close fitting shoulders, chest of good depth, back firm with high set tail carried over back that was well furnished, parallel going away and coming back, easy effortless gait. What coat she had was harsh.

1st 638 - Charids Queen of Hearts (Miss C Spanias) Impressive young bitch in a lovely thick red coat, broad head with enough stop to give a lovely proud expression, dark eyes with black pigmentation throughout. Small thick ears. Muscular neck covered with a good mane, set well into shoulders, chest broad and deep, legs parallel down to tight feet. Body short and firm over loin, well-muscled hindquarters with hocks firm and well let down. Tight tail carried over back. Lovely short striding movement, BP in challenge she really moved freely RBOB

1st 635 - Shulian San Angelo Star at Poppykins JW ShCEx OSW (Mrs L & Miss F Fisher) , 4 year old red male, head broad and flat, slight stop, dark well placed eyes, small well-padded ears, strong neck sitting into well-muscled shoulders chest fairly broad and deep reaching elbows, very slight tuck up with strong loin, well rounded hindquarters with well-developed second thigh, slight bend of stifles with hocks parallel to ground. Coat thick and dense Light easy mover, notice same sire as Junior bitch BOB

2nd 636 - Akakuro Ace of Hearts (Mr N S & Mrs K M Ridding) 8 year old red male, lovely overall type and shape still has the easy fluid movement. Just preferred the head of first BVIB

3rd 637 - Charids King of Hearts (Miss C Spanias)

Three very different stages from their ages to coat and size,

1st 809 - Tyngeli Make A Wish for Gemeau (Mrs M Scrutton)19 month old black bitch head developing well with dark well pigmented eye rims, lips and mouth, V shaped ears defined stop, neck merging into well placed shoulders with nice depth of rib a firm topline that she held on the move, well-muscled hindquarters, tightly curled tail carried over back and her cords developing well. Won this class on her effective quick stride.

2nd 808 - Mournebrake Hidden Agenda with Keynell (Mr A K & Miss J Rathband & Fealy)17 month old male, nice overall shape balanced for and aft just need his body and coat to mature.

3rd 810 - Porgeloci Zero (Mr K & Miss I Sear & Quill) Just 8 month old white puppy, nice shape with super black pigmentation all through and what coat he had was cording nicely, BP

Limit

1st 811 - Chesmes Kutya Magyar Gryff at Mournebrake (Miss H L Thomas)3 year old male, with slightly domed skull, a defined stop and dark eyes well pigmented rims, including nose, lips and roof of mouth, firm neck on well-placed shoulders, good depth of chest with ribs well sprung, firm in loin, muscled hindquarters, well bent stifle, coat well corded with tail curled over back, easy mover covering the ground well. RBOB.

1st 807 - Ch Kashbeluli There We Are Then JW ShCEx OSW (Mrs L J & Mr K D Cowley) Just coming up to 4 years old, I judged him as a junior and he has matured into a super boy. Lovely slightly domed head with a defined stop, expressive dark eyes, well set V shaped pendant ears, muscular neck set well into well laid shoulders with elbows sitting tightly to body, body firm with strong loin, well-muscled hindquarters which showed when he moved covering the ground with an easy reaching stride, coat presented in excellent condition. BOB and Pastoral Group 1

1st 826 - Kalaju Dream A Little Dream (Mr A & Mrs J Wilkinson) 8 month old bitch, very well-schooled and did everything asked by her handler. Very feminine head with nice eye with good pigmentation, correct bite, strong neck with well laid shoulders, good depth of chest and short in back with slight rise over loin, giving compact balanced picture, moved with a steady effortless gait. BP

1st 824 - Amblehart Mr Banks at Darwillow (Miss S J Deakin) 18 month old male, large capacious head, defined stop, dark eye, strong jaw, neck long sitting into well placed shoulders, good depth chest, body slightly long, well rounded hindquarters, presented in good harsh coat.

1st 823 - Molyneux Just You Wait (Mr G & Mrs D A Castle) Beautiful strong but feminine head with nice soft expression, correct bite with strong underjaw with black pigmented lips. Strong neck well arched. Good lay back of shoulders and well sprung ribs with a nice square shaped body. Strong over loin with slight rise over topline with hindquarters well-muscled, hocks set low. On move she had a lovely effortless gait with an easy stride and presented in good coat, BOB

2nd 825 - Shaggybo Mineral Mist JW (Mrs C Naismith) 20 month old male masculine in every way, strong head lovely dark eyes set well apart, defined stop, good under jaw, well-muscled neck, correct shoulder placement with compact body, firm loins, good rear angulation, coat harsh, just preferred first’s easier gait. RBOB

3rd 822 - Fy Nghalon or Coed at Applejem (Mr C & Mrs T Cartwright)

It’s always lovely judging these classes and even more so when they all congratulate one another. I did have a tough time splitting younger class as they all did different bits correctly. All were kind to their dogs talking to them and encouraging. Well done to you all.

These two classes I was again splitting hairs, they were all very competent handlers, shadowing was excellent, patterns neat and at end for Best Adult Handler resorted to an H but it did split Victoria and Rachael well done to you all
