Minor Puppy Dog (1, 0abs)
1st Gutierrez Gonzalez and Hirst’s Dusklight Small Town Boy at Maskalon
Pleasing skewbald pup with good head shape, dark eye, good length of muzzle and correct bite. He has a straight front, nice width and sufficient bone, good shoulder placement and sufficient spring of rib. Rear end still developing and overall, still raw and loose, but hey, he is a minor pup after all. Moved very much like a youngster and his handler got the best from him. Although he stood alone in this class, he’s a very smart young lad none the less.
Puppy Dog (4, 1 abs)
1st Miller’s Skyland Tilikum
Super black brindle pup with head of good proportions, correct ear carriage, dark eye and good bite. Straight front and well boned, no weakness at pasterns and neat feet. Good spring of rib for age, light in loins and ample back end all making for pleasing side profile. Moved and handled well. Pleased to award him Best Puppy Dog
2nd Bassford-Lane’s Jojalane I Drink Wine
Flashy red and white pup who was a bit lively today. Clean head with nothing overdone, dark eye, neat ear set, well defined stop and dark mask all making a pleasing expression. Good width to front, ample spring of rib and strong rear end. Pleasing profile all around. He really made his handler work today but just unlucky to meet 1st on such good form today. I’m sure these two will swap places many times.
3rd Cockeram’s Bullybranch Clever Coal
Fawn pup with clean head, dark enough eye, good head to muzzle ratio, ears a little flighty. Straight is front, pleasing side profile, level topline, good tuck up for age with ample bend of stifle. Moved and handled ok.
Junior Dog (4, 1 abs)
1st Wells’ Wellsstaffs Young Warrior
Super black brindle with balanced headshape, short in foreface with distinct stop, piercing dark eyes and neat rose ears all add to the picture. Clean in lip with good mouth housing large canines. Straight front with ample width and bone and neat well-padded feet. Good depth of brisket and overall pleasing body shape for age. Viewed from above he has good spring of rib tapering to lighter loins and strong backend. Angulation was good both front and rear and he moved with parallel drive. Moved and handled very well. Pleased to award him Best Dog

Pleasing side profile with ample rib, nice amount of lift, short coupled and light in loins but preferred the wider fronts on 1st and 2nd. Seemed to very much enjoy giving his handler the hardest of times when on the move.

Minor Puppy Bitch (1, 0 abs)
1st Mills Milarkebull Eleven
Stunning black brindle pup with all the attributes I was looking for in a pup on the day, super clean head shape, clearly feminine, neat ear placement, dark eyes, good length of muzzle, lips clean as a whistle and good dentition. Front is straight with enough width for age, brisket still to come but she’s still a minor pup, so plenty of time ahead, body starting to shape up well and enough angulation. She moves as expected for a pup but handler gets the best from her. She beat some lovely pups today, well done. Pleased to award her Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Show

Attractive black brindle pup, clean head of good shape and proportions, dark eye, neat ear carriage, clean in lip and good bite. Straight front of ample width, body developing well for age, nice profile all around. Moved and handled well for age. Liked her very much but felt she lost a little sparkle in the puppy challenge
2nd Canavan’s Boldstock Infinite Flame
Smart brindle bitch with white socks and chest. Another pup I really liked, she has a pleasing headshape, clean with nothing overdone, dark eye, good ear set all making for appealing expression. Liked her front and lift, enough brisket for age, good body shape, nice underline, fit as a flea for her age. She was a little erratic on the move today which cost her 1st place today but think her time will come, lovely pup.

Front is straight and of enough width, good shoulder placement and sufficient spring of rib, nice tuck up and lovely profile from all angles. Moved well once settled. Considered her in the final lineup but felt she had lost that little bit of enthusiasm to show herself off. Lovely bitch, thank you for bringing her
2nd Petts Arkenstaff She’s the One

Straight front, ample bone, good depth of brisket, nicely placed shoulders and good spring of rib. Would prefer a tad fitter. Works well with her young handler who knows how to get the very best from her.
3rd Parry & Gill’s Leebee’s Zakiyah at Saxstaff
Compact red bitch with white chest and front socks, typical headshape, pronounced cheek bumps, would prefer a neater ear if I’m nitpicking, wide front and good depth of brisket, ample bone, wide backend, again another I would like to see fitter. Moved and handled ok

Moved and handled very well. Another who was highly considered in the final line up and I’m sure she is destined for top honours
2nd Johnson’s Ellchansha Cast a Spell
Super black brindle bitch with white to chest and toes, similar to 1st though probably not as mature, she has the loveliest of expressions, attractive head with good skull to muzzle ratio, neat ears, clean lipped and correct bite. True front of ample width, nice spring of rib, tapering to light loins and shapely rear. Nice tuck up and clean outline, handled well but just preferred the movement of 1st on the day. Another top quality bitch who is litter sister to first and has much of the same virtues. What a litter! Again, she has an excellent headshape, clean but defined, distinct stop, well pronounced cheek bumps, clean in lip and correct bite. She has the best of fronts with ample bone and width, good depth of brisket. In profile she looks stunning, displaying nice tuck up and holding level topline. 3rd Rowe and South’s Illori Constellation JW
The quality of the bitches just kept coming in this class. Another super bitch, black brindle with lots to like. One I’ve judged before as a pup and pleased to see how she has matured. Attractive head, good skull to muzzle ratio, distinct stop, dark eye, correct ear carriage, good dentition and tight lips. Front is straight with good width, nice bone, good depth of brisket, nice spring of rib, short coupled and light in loins. Great profile and presented in fit hard condition. She has the best of fronts, nice amount of lift, ample bone, good spring of rib tapering down to light loins and powerful rear. She exudes quality from all angles and was handled perfectly and presented in excellent fit condition.
