My thanks to CSCCE for today’s opportunity to judge this beautiful breed. I had a great time judging this entry, a few upright shoulders was concerning, but overall quality was good. My main winners today were outstanding, and I’m sure will continue to have success in their show careers. My thanks to my steward, and the great people in the canteen. Thanks to Carol West and Tracey Sherlock for hospitality.
MPD (5,0) 1 GLENBROWS GALANTHUS . WOW! I think this is one of the first puppies to give me goosebumps for sometime, and he walked in owning the ring and continued to own my mind for the whole show. 7 month Black and White. Beautiful head with symmetry and balance. He has a moderate muscular neck, which leads into well laid shoulders. He has super well sprung ribs for his age, and a deep forechest. Short loin, he is in perfect muscular condition, and a wide back end. He has short hocks which he uses to full advantage to drive from behind. His merry cocker attitude, with fully sturdiness, perfectly presented, and I could see this boy going all day long in the field and in the show ring. He never once let his handler down. In my challenge later, my eyes were constantly drawn to a handful of dogs but for the ultimate spot it was between two, and he just edged it on the move today. He is of a nice height, but shows no sign of growing anymore which is positive. I see bright things for this puppy, who interestingly is sired by a dog I had great admiration for as well I notice. Today at only seven months old he had to be Best in Show, Best Puppy In Show and Best Minor Puppy in Show. 2. WILLCARO WARRIOR, Blue Road. Good head, with balance. Neck is a tad on the short side, shoulders are a tad upright, but the body is deep in forechest and sprung in ribs. He moves out well. He has a good back end. He needs stripping out a bit from his puppy coat, but otherwise he is promising puppy. 3 OLIBOND HUNKY DORY.
MPB (3,0) 1 GLENBROWS BLUE FORTUNE. 7 month old Blue Roan. Feminine all through. Good muzzle, beautiful gentle expression. She has a clean neck of moderate length and muscular. Her rib is well sprung for her age, she has a strong rear which is well muscled, and short hocks which she drives well with on the move. A very promising girl. 2 KERRIGLOW FIREFLY. Feminine head, dark gentle expression. Beautiful clean neck, that leads into well laid shoulders. She has a good spring of ribs, short loin. She is very exuberant on the move, but when she does settle she can move out well and drive herself, she just has to concentrate first. 3 MEGGIEMAC TAN TANGFASTICS.
PD (1,0) 1 CLARAMAND THE SMILER. 10 month old Tri Roan. The most pleasing of heads, and beautiful expression. So cheeky!. Has a moderate muscular neck which leads into well laid shoulders. This pup has great spring of rib, I’d personally just like a fraction shorter loin. Moves well when settles, once matures in the brain and coordinates I am certain this pup will have a great future as well.
PB (2,0) 1 CLARAMAND THE LADY 10 month old Tri Road, litter mate to the PD winner. Feminine head, not overdone in back skull. Moderate neck, good deep forechest, spring of rib, and loin. She has short hocks and drives well when she settles, later in the challenge she got her act together better. She is a very promising bitch, like her brother just needs to settle as she gets older, but for now is a very happy puppy which is a delight to see. 2 ANNILANN MISS WOOPSI POOPSI. 10month old Blue Roan. Another quality puppy who was more settled than the winner, however was just a tad more broader in backskull for me, and a bit more up on leg. Lovely length of muzzle and a beautiful expressive eye. Moderate neck, good rib and loin. He moves well.
V (3,0) 1 WINTONIA HIDDEN GEM AT QUATTROZAMPE VW 8yr old blue roan bitch. Good eye and expression, I would like a shade more width in muzzle. Moderate neck, broad well sprung ribs. Short loin. Good bend of stifle. Moves out well. 2 GLOWHILL SILVERSMITH FOR PEARKIM 8yr old Black and White dog. Little longer in muzzle than winner. Moderate neck, good rib and loin. Little longer in overall body length. Moves well. 3 MEGGIEMAC DOLLIE DEXTERITY
J (3,2) 1 RIONDEL MASQUERADE IN BLU. Well sprung in rib, short neck which is a little upright in shoulder, but has a good length of upper arm. I would have liked a little less coat to show off some of her virtues a bit better.
Y (1,0) 1 EASTRIDING DELICATE KISSES AT RAYALIDAN. 20month old Blue bitch. A bit on the taller side of the measure. Has a balanced muzzle and head. Neck is short, and a little upright in shoulder. Ribs are well sprung, leading into a short loin. Behind is a little straight, but still manages to move OK.

N (1,1) Absent
UG (3,3) Absent
G (4,4) Absent
PG (5,2) 1 FERRESEDGE SHILLING JW Bigger of all the class, but balanced in it’s proportion. Muzzle is good and square, balanced throughout head. Moderate neck, into good forequarters. Good depth of forechest, well sprung ribs, short loin. Drives well from behind using short hocks. 2 MEGGIEMAC MY MY MY DELILAH Black bitch who is feminine throughout her head. Moderate neck, good spring of ribs and short loin. OK bend of stifle, tail carries on the move. Would like a little more fill in muzzle and under eyes. 3 PEARKIM PIETRO.
L (2,0) 1 LINDRIDGE STAR ATTRACTION JW BEL JCH. 2yr old Blue Dog. This is a beautifully well presented male who can take your eye very easily. He has a good balance of head, deep dark expression. He has a good depth of forechest, well sprung rib. Good bend of stifle. Tail is set and carried well. Considered in the BIS challenge through shortlist. 2 KERRIGLOW SUMMER SOLSTICE Red dog of equal quality. Good length of muzzle and width. Good neck length which leads into well laid shoulders. He has a good spring of rib, longer in loin than winner. He has a strong rear which he can use when he decides he wants to, he had a tendency to try and gallop off at times which spoiled the overall picture of him today.
SB (3,2) 1. LYNWATER MAD HATTER AT QUATTROZAMPE JW. 17month old orange and white. A dog of good size, up to height. His muzzle is a little longer than I would like, and gave a slight unbalanced profile view of the head. The eye and expression is good and dark, yet intelligent. Moderate length of neck, overall well angulated throughout. A tad longer in the loin. Moves well.
BBE (1,0) 1. RIONDEL SOLITAIRE 8yr old blue bitch. Feminine head, with a good balance of head and length of muzzle. Good expression. OK length of neck, tad upright in shoulder. Good forechest, ribs sprung well. Drives well from short hocks, an exuberant mover.
NBBE (3,0) 1 GLOWHILL STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. Blue Roan. A tad taller than I’d probably like, but a balanced dog for proportions overall. A well balanced head. Good expression, moderate neck. Good front angulation. Well sprung ribs, short loin. Carries tail well. Moves with drive. Beautifully presented. 2 PEEJAYDEES PINK SAPPHIRE BY FERRERSEDGE 8yr old Blue roan bitch. Feminine all way through. Beautiful expression. Well laid shoulders and deep forechest. Drives well from behind. 3 CARMELFAIR COROCENZO AT OXFORDOGS
OB (5,3) 1 PLAIGLEN BIKER BABE TO HELENWOOD JW. 22month old Black bitch that I have done well before. This girl, whilst up to size, she is a pure picture of cocker and femininity all through. Presented and conditioned in total perfection. She has the most beautiful head, excellent eye and expression. She is balanced throughout fore and aft, her spring of rib and her length of loin are textbook for me. Her short hocks drive her around the ring, and she has a good return of upper arm. Today in the challenge she was just outpaced a little bit by the youngster, but this girl absolutely is a quality girl who screams champion. She could therefore today not be denied RBIS, and I still predict as I did before that she will continue to be a cocker that can command a judges eye and screams quality all day long. 2 FORTUNA OF LA VIE MAGNIFIQUE AMONG CLARAMAND (IMP) 7 month old liver roan, transferred from another class. She is a very promising baby. She has a great balance of head, a beautiful dark eye and expression. Moderate length of neck into well laid shoulders. She has a deep forechest and a good spring of rib for her age. Her loin is short, her hocks are short and well conditioned. She just needs to settle on the move as she gets older. I think she will have a great future.
