RHYL CANINE SOCIETY – 20/07/2025

My thanks to Rhyl for the invite to judge, it was a busy day, but the atmosphere was fantastic. Quality of dogs was high, and I was impressed with both the groups I judged.

Border Terrier

P (1,0) FEHMARN CELTIC CYBI 6 month old bitch with a feminine head. Beautiful eye. Good front, easily spanned. Moves well. BPIB.

PG (1,0) FEHMARN CELTIC FLAME 4yr old Bitch. Balanced head, perfectly placed ears. Just spanned the body. Good length of loin. Well let down hocks and stifle. Moves well.

O (2,0) 1 IR CH NOTTORG NEKESA CW24 Little bit more otter type in head. Balanced throughout. Spans well. Moves with ease. BOB. 2 FEHMARN MOEL CEILIOG Lovely otter head, little less work in the head than winner. Tends to crab on the away.

BULL TERRIER

P (1,1) 1. Absent

PG (1,0) 1. KINGSBRYN DRAGON HEART 21month old Black and white dog. Strength in head. Well placed ears. Good feet, lovely expression and eye. Balanced. Good back end. Moves well. BOB.

DANDIE DINMONT TERRIER

PG (1,0) 1. PUDDOCKSWELL IMAGINE THIS AROUND MARBLEDALE (IKC) 3yr old. Lovely eye, good skull and ears. Excels temperament. Good front and ribs, carries a good topline and moves well. BOB.

JACK RUSSELL TERRIER

PARSON RUSSELL TERRIER

P (1,0) 1. FOXFUR BEWITCHED BY KYLINI Tri Bitch, wedge head, ears set a little back. Spans well. Good loin, tail carries well. Moves well. Later PG1. BOB. BPIB.

SCOTTISH TERRIER

P (1,0) 1. PAMASWATER EROS AT KAMONDALE A six month old puppy full of spirit and terrier naughtiness, definitely doing everything in his own way today. Strength in head, good bite, deep eye. Large triangle ears. Good front. Depth in loin. Moves with exuberance. BOB. BPIB.

SKYE TERRIER

PG (1,0) 1. TINY WINNE ARGON TARGARYEN (IMP SWE). Cream dog 22months old. Strength in head, good length of muzzle and back skull. Good ears set well on head and pricked. He is a little out at elbow, has a good length of rib and loin. Moves OK and carries tail well.

O (3,0) 1. CH LAVAUXS BAHAMIAN CHRIS 6yr Dark Grey Male. Full of masculinity in head, has a great depth of muzzle. Super ears and excellent front assembly. He has a good length of rib with good oval shape, loin is short and strong over the loin. Moves with ease, presented immaculately. He has taken my eye numerous times from ringside and I certainly was not disappointed today to finally get my hands on him. BOB and Terrier Group 1. 2. MADAZA BOX OF FROGS 6yr Cream Drop eared. Lovely head and ear placement. His front is OK. Carries tails well, moves out well. 3. KNOWLESPRING QUINCY ShCEx.

STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER

P (1,0) 1. BULLBROTHERS BLACK OIL. 11m Bitch. Super feminine head. Well placed ears. Good front. Carries well on the move. BPIB, shame didn’t stay for the puppy group.

J (4,0) 1 JANJOMA HEART AND SOUL AT MATRIXSTAFFS Young bitch, good head, well placed ears. Super depth of chest and ribs. Most soundest in movement. 2. JANJOMA HEARTS DESIRE, Pleasing head and expression. Nice depth of chest, but not quite the depth of 1. Moves soundly enough. 3. BULLBROTHERS THE NAVIGATOR.

PG (3,2) 1. BULLBROTHERS TIMELORD. 11month old male. Fawn. Strength in head, good bone. Depth of chest. Moves soundly enough. Bit on the larger side than others today.

O (5,2) 1. MATRIXSTAFFS KNIGHT STAR JW. Super head and ears. Good strength in muzzle. Depth and width in ribs. Super mover. BOB. 2. GEORDIESTAFF AM CLAMMIN AT INVICTASTAFF Placed on movement, good head and ears, good depth. 3. MATRIXSTAFFS SKY DANCER.

WELSH TERRIER

O (1,0) 1. SERBONCHE BREUDDWYD MAM. 12yr old. Not showing any age in fairness. Wedge head, good ribs, moves well. BOB.

AVNSC TERRIER

J (1,0) 1. BRYNMEURIG CURIOUS ROSINA OF SALWESTIES. 15month old Westie bitch. Pleasing head. Good rib and loin. Moves soundly enough.

PG (1,1) 1 Absent

O (3,0) 1 ALKINRA JAZZ IT UP. 3yr Wire Fox Terrier. Pleasing head shape, lovely set ears. Good mover. Well built and well presented. Group 2. 2. FOURASTAY FLOWER POWER 2yr old Westie Bitch. She is a quality bitch and pushed the Wire Fox hard in this class. Beautiful head, super front. Lovely neck and good rib. Good back end, moves so true. 3. CH FOURASTAY FONTAYNE JW

(3,0) 1. TWEEDSMUIR FEEBEE MINE ShCM 8¾yr old Cream Skye Terrier bitch. Lovely head and prick ears. Super coat, moves long, low and level. Later awarded in the BVIS competition. 2 FEHMARN MOEL CEILIOG, 3. SERBONCE BREUDDWYD MAM.

J (4,2) 1. CARARUA PEARL OF THE NORTH. Masculine head, good head plains. Good feet and bone. Well laid into shoulders. Good rib and loin. OK back end. Bite is not perfect however. 2 CARARUA SPRING PEARL Bitch. Feminine all through. Nice front and loin. Just not together on the move.

PG (2,0) 1. SUTERESETT MR MISTOFFELEES AT GOCHMAWR. Masculine head, dark eye. Good head plains. Good front, deep in brisket. Good tuck into the loin. Good stifle, crabs a little on the away. 2. ALOLFRANA ISADORA DANCES FOR LAVANSANDS. Slightly younger bitch. Feminine head, good assembly but just not the reach of winner.

O (2,0) 1. LYNWOOD MERRY MAY KING WITH SHUSHANA. 6yr old male. Masculine head, good eye. Well laid front, strong muscular neck. Good rib. Moves well. BOB. 2. ALOLFRANA QUEEN OF HEARTS AT BRYNTWRW. Feminine 3yr old bitch. Would like bit more work in the flew. Nice front. Well angled. Moves well.

SPANIEL (FIELD)

PG (1,0) 1. GADHELIC SUNSHINE GIRL AT HALBADIER. 21month Bitch. Pleasing head, good bone and feet. Good lay of shoulder. Well balanced throughout. Moves well with reach and drive. BOB.

SPANIEL (WELSH SPRINGER)

P (1,0) 1. MENSTONIA ENDLESS DREAMS TAF. 7month old. Nice boy, good body and coat. Fair in movement. BOB, BPIB.

AVNSC GUNDOG

P (1,0) 1. ALBADHU PLAYING WITH FIRE AT BAYCROSS. Large Munstelander. 6month old. Very raw, good head. Fair middle. Exuberant on the move. Tail carries a tad high for me. BPIB.

O (1,0) 1. TRIXHUND THIS IS MY DESTINY ShCEx. 3yr old male ESS. Lovely head and eye. True springer expression. Good feet, good ribs and loin. Shown in hard condition. Moves with good reach and drive. BOB.

J (1,0). 1. FIDELIX OBSESSION. Korthals Griffon. 13month. Fair all round. Good head and moves OK. Still a little exuberant and needs to grow up in his head.

PG (2,2) 1&2 Absent

O (2,1) 1. ADONIS SHEEP ON HUNT AT BARBAMOR (IMP POL). Barbet. 2½ year old. Lovely example of this breed. Lovely head and eye. Super strength throughout. Good quality coat and well presented. Moves outstandingly.

(4, 1) 1. Hopevalley Morning Rainbow Jw. As per Gundog Group 3. 2. CARNEVAL OF GOLDEN DUCK-COBEY AT JARABEES VW (IMP SRB) 10yr old Golden Retriever. Lovely head, bit long in loin, moves well. 3. ANNASIDE'S NEW MOON.

GUNDOG GROUP

1. GLANTRAETH OVATION TO OKTUMI. Cocker Spaniel. Exquisite cocker, screaming cocker type. Bustling movement on the go, so true and free. Beautifully presented and an easy winner of the Gundog Group today.

2. SH CH/HR CH ZORRAZO HEY THERE YOGI BEAR. Spanish Water Dog. Divine head, super movement. So well built, and put together. Coat beautifully presented.

3. HOPEVALLEY MORNING RAINBOW JW. Flatcoated Retriever. Super for age. Moves well, well built, a little on the smaller side for the breed but full of quality. In hard condition. Well rewarded later in the BVIS competition.

GUNDOG PUPPY GROUP

1. FOURJAYS SASSY SAID IT ALL . Black labrador. Good type, super coat, feminine head. Excellent mover. Easy winner of the puppy group today.

2. GEMSWIN WHEREVER I LAY MY HAT AT FINNASHEMBER . Flatcoated retriever. Nice mover, nice type and good head.

3. MENSTONIA ENDLESS DREAMS TAF. SPANIEL (Welsh Springer).
