Many thanks to the Committee of Midland Golden Retriever Club for the kind invitation to judge at their lovely well run Single breed open show , and to all Exhibitors who entered their dogs, as well as my super Stewards for organising the ring so efficiently. I want to sincerely apologise for the delay in providing my critique however it has been an extremely busy time in my career and life. I was honoured to be able to Judge all these wonderful dogs. The quality of the dogs and the atmosphere made this a pleasure to judge.
1.Baby Puppy Dog (1, 0a)
1.Poiles’ Miss Cherrimar Vincenzo
Kind expression with masculine head, good pigmentation adequate length of neck and, straight front, deep in the chest., Level topline with a well-set tail and good on the move for a baby puppy
2.Baby Puppy Dog (1, 0a)

4.5month old puppy, nice reach of neck into a good topline is with a level tail set, Straight front and tight elbows she was a little over excited but to be expected at this tender age. Both Puppies could have won this today but this little lady had the edge.
3. Minor Puppy Dog (5, 2a)
1. 1 Knight & Lavender’s Cooke’s - HAYDENGOLD BACKCHAT – 10 months dog, masculine head with good pigment. Plenty of bone, straight front, tight feet, Forelegs placed well under body. Sprung ribs that were down at elbow and level topline.
2. Forrest’s ORLAGOLD MAJOR TOM Masculine head, lovely expression, coming from a super dark eye, set well wide on skull. Muscular neck of proportionate length. Excellent transition into an unmistakably male body. Well boned throughout. Well angled front construction. Unlucky to come against first.
4. Puppy Dog (5, 3a)
1. Henson & Luckham’s Flyngalee Hunky Dory; eleven-month-old Golden Retriever, He has a good head and eye and a firm level topline and good quarters well boned In good condition and moved well for the age.

2. Smith’s Rocamoka Harbour Light. A paler boy,good overall construction He is overall a very nice boy who should have fun in the future.

1.Tenfield Klipspringer with Auryngra (Miss S Moore) balanced boy with masculine head, adequate length of neck into well laid-back shoulders, straight feet, good depth to chest, level topline, rear strong with good well bent stifle, moved well.

1.Moore’s Purbarn Friends Together with Auryngra, masculin head and good pigmentation, good rib and short loin, excellent topline held on the move.
2. Archer’s Haydengold Just a Rumour at Sunandair JW. 3 year mid gold boy a balanced outline. Good pigment and correct ear set. A lovely length of neck, correct topline.Good bend of stifle sits on short straight hocks.
10 Limit Dog (5,1a)
1. Clunie’s Warrentor Bold As Brass JW SGWC WGC Masculine head with great pigment. Correct angles front and back and a strong topline and correct tail set. Well boned and cat like feet. In hard condition and shown in rich gold coat. Moved out well handled to perfection.
2. TAYLOR, Mr Paul Laurenley Leon. Pleasing expression. Good neck and shoulder placement, excellent bone, Good outline when free standing and Moved well. Presented and handled well.
11 Open Dog (5,1a)
1.Wallingtons’ Wynrita School Daze, mid gold, Masculine head,correct bite, good overall balance. Correct topline & tail held well on the move, well boned, moved well.
2nd Swaines’ Kallixel Caramel Delight Nicely constructed Pleasing head, level topline and correct tailset good on the move.

1. Clarke’s Haydengold One More Knight JW. Masculine head with a good coat and good pigmentation, adequate length of neck and, straight front, deep in the chest. Moved well

1. Turner’s AMILONE ROYAL SCOT Darker dog with a masculine head and good angles with a balanced outline, level topline and tail carriage which he maintained on the move with good reach and drive.

1.Smith’s Goldmarker Luminora, Femine head & with good pigmentation good length of neck, balanced & held a level topline on the move, good depth of chest.
2. Leonard’s Wynrita Call Me Madam Special Award GD/B (7, 2) 1 Layland’s Applecote Love Affair, good head & length of neck, well made fore & aft, she held a good topline both standing, didn’t move as well as first.

1.Leonards Golden Retriever Ambersun Summersault Back to Wynrita, Correct head and eye shape, balanced, in good coat and condition. Correct length of neck flowed into a level topline, correct tail carriage. Straight front, amazing movement.

2. Sanderson’s ORLAGOLD GLAMOUR GIRL – Another lovely 7-month pale gold puppy bitch. Pleasing feminine head with kind dark eye. Well set ears. Good length of neck . Good length of upper arm. Good spring of rib. Well let down hocks. level topline in standing and on the move.
20. Graduate Bitch (6,0a)
1.Chan’s Wemcrest Sound of Music Clean outline ,balanced with correct angulation of front and rear quarters. Feminine head with dark eye and kind expression. Good length of neck. level topline held on the move. Shown in good condition.
2. List’s Haydengold Moment in Time JW Classic femine head ample width through her muzzle, Reachy neck into a well made, excellent bone and feet. Balanced angles with a great spring of rib, firm topline and this showed on the move.

1. Smith’s Rocamoka Funky Business, Feminine head with soft expression. Correct length of neck into well laid shoulders with sufficient upper arm. Balanced in profile and on the move, fine coat and condition. handled to perfection.
2. Clunie’s Warrentor Nohkalakai JW. Feminine head shape and good. in good coat and condition. Correct length of neck with good spring of rib. Moved well.
23. Open Bitch (4,1a)
1.List’s Haydengold Time To Remember Quality girl presented well in lovely golden coat and condition. Feminine head. Balanced outline with good fore and aft angulation, short coupled and level topline. Moved well with ease.
2. Turner’s, Moonshine De Ria Vela Over Amilone (Imp Esp), lovely mid gold girl, feminine head and good pigmentation. Good bone and nice straight front. Good topline and tail set and remained level on the move.
24. Veteran Bitch (3,2a)
1. Hush BENROWAN ESPRIT – Feminine head and correct pigmentation had good depth of chest. Cat like feet and in great body condition,muscled. Level topline well held throughout and well held tail on the move a pleasure to see a Veteran in such great condition and happy and outgoing and enjoying her day.
