Birmingham Afghan Hound Club

BIRMINGHAM AFGHAN HOUND CLUB 09 FEBRUARY 2025 SPECIAL AWARD CLASSES I would like to thank the Birmingham Afghan Club for their very kind invitation to judge the Special Award Classes at their open show on 9th February 2025. PD/B 1(0) 1. Odell/Evans’ Drishaun Just Consider Sukeshi. Very nice 6 month old bitch at her first show and clearly in need of a little bit of practise, however a lovely feminine head, extremely well angulated front and rear, absolutely sound with her light springy ground covering gait and is a nice prospect. PGD/B 7(1) 1. Rhodes/Shaverneva/Garrad’s Alaqadar Ariodante of Shadowfax. Completely out-moved the class with her light footed gait, lovely head and expression, excellent underjaw, nice reach of neck, good top-line, good balance throughout, covered the ground with good reach and drive. 2. Thompson’s Drishaun Rock Me Baby Gothika. A very nice male, good head and good head proportions, shown in a lovely coat and excellent condition, not quite the front angulation of 1 but moved with good drive in profile and absolutely parallel on the out and back. 3. Rivers’ Prestigious How Will I Know. OD/B 3(1) 1. Winters’ Ch. Pashtari Lord Tennyson Tokando JW. A wonderful 8 year old male shown in excellent coat and good hard condition, good head, correct bone, strong underjaw, good reach of neck, excellent balance and an easy light footed ground covering gait, a lovely example of the breed and a credit as a veteran. 2. Rhodes/Shaverneva/Garrad’s Shadowfax Threepenny Opera JW. Another nice example of the breed, not quite the coat and condition of 1 but good head, correct expression, moved to advantage with excellent reach and drive. SIMON LUXMOORE
