VETERAN DOG/BITCH (3)
What a quality class to start the day – 3 lovely quality Setters all worthy of winning this class on another day.
1st Snook DALREAVOCH NORTHERN CAPER
What an attractive dog, super head shape and lovely eyes and expression, good length of neck leading into clean shoulders, lovely boned legs and good feet, well ribbed body, very well angulated behind, a little steep over the croup, moved well. Reserve Best Dog.
2nd Taylor SH CH WANSLEYDALE MARGARITA
She had a feminine head and the kindest expression good length of neck leading into clean well placed shoulders, good strong legs and feet, elbows close to her body, plenty of length to her body, well angulated tail, moved well with a lovely tail carriage
3rd Lawson WANSLEYDALE DORIAN GRAY JW ShCEx OSW
PUPPY DOG (1)
1st Hull & Moore DALREAVOCH GLORY DAYS
Well grown dog presenting a lovely outline, really liked his head shape and he had a lovely expression, decent boned legs but his feet and pasterns will hopefully improve, well sprung ribs, very good angulation behind, in super coat and condition, moved well just needs time to mature. Best Puppy Dog and Reserve Best Puppy In Show
JUNIOR DOG (2, 1ab)
1ST Danks-Kemish, Littlechild & Littlechild RAVENSETT JUST AN ILLUSION WITH ALOLFRANA
Beautiful young dog of such quality presenting a lovely outline on the stack, he has a lovely shaped head, kind expression from dark eyes, clean lengthy neck leading into well placed shoulders and upperarm, lovely boned limbs, well ribbed body, very good angulation behind, moved soundly and with style, once he is fully mature he will take some beating – delighted to award him Best Dog and BOS in show.
YEARLING DOG (5, 1ab)
1st RAVENSETT JUST AN ILLUSION WITH ALOLFRANA
2ND Gourtorbe WANSLEYDALE BEEKEEPER AT REDHARA
This dog’s head and expression really was what I was looking for, beautifully shape to his head, and a fabulous expression from lovely dark eyes, strong neck, well placed shoulders and good length of upperarm, lovely boned legs, feet could be a little tighter, well ribbed dog, very good angulation behind, a little steep in croup, moved well.
3rd Stronach MARIGLEN ESCAPE TO VICTORY
GRADUATE DOG (2, 1ab)
1st MARIGLEN ESCAPE TO VICTORY
This young dog did nothing to help himself or his owner with his enthusiasm, however he is a really nice typy dog and at times you could see what he was like albeit briefly. I do wish his owner continues to train him and once he knows his job and puts some body on I am sure there is some fun to have with him.
POST GRADUATE DOG (2)
1ST Williamson HAWKLAWN SULTAN OF SWING
I have judged this dog before as a young dog and I still very much like his type and movement, he has a pleasing head and a lovely expression from dark eyes, good length of neck , well boned legs, good topline, he was unsettled due to a previous incident and the handler needs to keep working with him and to relax as being tense and expecting trouble is making the dog look for issues.
2nd Snook MOORBROOK MOGUL OF MARCH
Another typy dog of quality with a well shaped head and dark expressive eyes, good length of neck, medium boned legs and feet, very good angulation behind, just a little steeper in croup than the winner, not the movement of the winner.
MINOR PUPPY BITCH (3)
What a lovely class of three very pretty puppies
1ST Watkin’s ALBADORA TOTALLY YOURS FOR VALSETT
What a beautiful puppy, very pretty headed and lovely expression presenting a lovely outline on the stack and on the move, sturdy boned legs and good feet, well placed shoulders and a good length of upperarm, well ribbed body and strong loins, well angulated behind with good width of second thigh, moved well – BPIS and I wish her owner the very best with her
2nd Forrest ELVISTAR FALLING IN LOVE
Another very pretty puppy, super head shaped and expression from dark eyes, lovely boned limbs and good feet, good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders and a good length of upperarm, found her a little longer bodied than the winner, very good hindquarters, moved ok but with time she will settle more on the move to her advantage
3rd Colton ROWANMYLE BOX OF DELIGHTS FOR ENNYDLOC
PUPPY BITCH (1)
1st Linskey LATJEATA PAVANE
Quite immature still, lovely expression from dark eyes, decent length of neck, medium boned legs, lovely topline, moved OK
JUNIOR BITCH (3, 1ab)
These two young girls were of differing types but both very pretty and I’m sure have a bright future ahead of them.
1st Danks-Kemish & Littlechild RAVENSETT ALLEGRA WITH ALOLFRANA
Litter sister to my Junior Dog winner and she has such a pretty head and lovely expression, lengthy neck, clean shoulders and decent length of upperarm, lovely boned legs and good feet, good length of ribs just need to develop more as she gets older, a little longer in loin than I would prefer, well angulated behind, moved well – Delighted to award her Reserve Best Bitch
2nd Welburn OSHOWA JUST A DREAM
I really liked this bitch and as the cliché goes it was unfortunate that she came up against the winner, pretty headed bitch with a lovely expression from dark eyes, a little more pronounced occiput than the winner, good length of neck, clean shoulders, well boned limbs, sometimes she stands casually in front so watch that, great body shape, very good angulation behind, moved very well – another one to watch in the future.
YEARLING BITCH (2, 1ab)
1ST RAVENSETT ALLEGRA WITH ALOLFRANA
POST GRADUATE BITCH (5, 1ab)
1st Welburn OSHOWA DREAM COME TRUE
Such a pretty bitch who ticked all the boxes for me. Shapely head with a lovely expression from the darkest of eyes, lovely length of neck leading into clean well placed shoulders and a good length of upperarm, the best of legs and feet, well sprung ribs reaching far back and strong loins, very good topline, croup and tail set giving the most ideal of outlines, so sound on the move with drive and good length of stride – delighted to award her Best Bitch and BIS
2nd Reid HUNTERBLUE MYSTIQUE AT DIERSETT
Another pretty bitch, a bit stronger in head than the winner but it was still a lovely balanced shape and such a kind expression from dark eyes, good length of neck and clean well placed shoulders, lovely boned legs, shapely body, very good hindquarters moved well
LIMIT BITCH (4, 2ab)
1st Dykes CALEYDENE CONNEXTION
Compact bitch, somewhat finer in head structure than the 2nd, very pretty expression, good length of neck, well placed shoulders, lovely boned legs and feet, well ribbed body, very good angulation behind, a little rounded in croup, moved well
2ND Seaman MARIGLEN INDIGO
I did prefer this bitch but she wasn’t playing today and was constantly leaning back which spoilt her outline, very pretty headed and expression, decent boned legs and good feet, well sprung ribs, very good angulation behind including good width of second thigh, moved soundly
OPEN BITCH (3)
1st Dykes SH CH WANSLEYDALE BEDAZZLED AAT CALEYDENE
Typy bitch, lovely head and expression, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, lovely boned limbs and decent feet, well ribbed body, very good angulation behind, moved well
2nd Dennis, Harris & Morgan MARIGLEN UNWRAPPED JW
Another good type of bitch, slightly longer bodied than the winner, lovely head and such kind expression, decent boned legs and tight feet, strong well made hindquarters, strong topline and good angle of croup, moved well.
