I must thank the committee for asking me to judge at this well run show and the exhibitors for their sportsmanship and quality entry. 


Minor Puppy (3)

1.Morley & Rogerson, Chikaramor Chyna Rose BPIB

7 month B/W bitch, nice for size, well balanced with lovely outline and good substance for her age. Feminine outlook with a balanced head, good breadth of skull and length of muzzle, level head planes, distinct stop, decent underjaw with tight lips. Eyes well placed with correct pigmentation though slightly on the fuller side. Very good length of neck, well muscled leading to an excellent layback of shoulder and upper arm to match. Straight front with strong flexible pasterns. Good depth of chest and spring of ribs for age. Good feet, oval and well arched. Level topline, excellent hind angulation with well let down short strong hocks, straight when viewed from behind. Tail set low of good length. Moved very well for age with excellent forward reach and drive, straight for and aft. 


2. Park, Chikaramor You’re Dynamite 

Little sister to winner and many similar comments apply. Ultra feminine girl not quite as mature as her sister but has plenty of time on her side. Good for size, elegant outline with good substance for age. Loveliest of heads with the sweetest of expressions which was well balanced, good breadth of skull, length of muzzle and level head planes. Correct stop, good underjaw, tight lips. Lovely eye shape well placed and correct pigmentation. Nice length of neck well muscled leading to excellent layback of shoulder and upperarm to match. Good straight front with strong flexible pasterns, neat well shaped feet. Good depth of chest and spring of rib for age, level topline, tail well set of good set. Very good hind angulation with well let down straight hocks, though standing a little wide behind on the day. Moved very well in profile with good forward reach and drive from behind. Straight for and aft.

Puppy (1)


1. Morley & Rogerson, Chikaramor The Dark Side. 

B/W 7 mth dog, another litter mate to the minor puppy girls and similar in type. All boy in outlook, elegant outline, good for size, balance and substance. Masculine head and expression, well balanced with a good breadth of skull, level head planes, strong muzzle with good underjaw, with good stop. Correct eye shape, well place good for size with correct pigmentation. Muscular neck of good length leading to good shoulder placement, excellent depth of chest for age. Straight front with strong flexible pasterns, oval shaped and well arched feet. Level topline, low tail set though tail could be a touch longer. Decent hind angulation. Movement was a little erratic today and I felt he was feeling his hind leg on the move. 


Special Yearling (3)


1. Rettie, Glenfound Future Hope.

Young B/W dog who is all boy. Lovely for size and outline with excellent substance and bone for age. He has the most charming, merry expression which is also so masculine. Balanced head with good breadth of skull and level head planes. Strong muzzle and underjaw with decent stop. Oval shaped eye, which was well placed with correct pigmention. Lovely length of neck well muscled, leading to excellent layback of shoulder and upper arm to match. Correct depth of chest and spring of rib. Straight front legs, strong flexible pasterns and good oval shaped feet, well arched toes. Level topline, tail correctly set of good length. Nice hind angulation with good turn of stifle well let down hocks. He moved well in profile with excellent forward reach and drive from behind. A touch untidy fore and aft. 


2. Kempton, Borderbrook Final Destiny JW

Young B/W bitch who is so feminine in outlook. Lovely for size with excellent bone and substance for her age. Sweet head and expression, nicely balanced with good breadth of skull, level head planes, decent strength of muzzle and underjaw. Eye nicely set with excellent pigment. Excellent length of neck well muscled leading to a good shoulder placement just not quite the layback of the winner, straight front with strong flexible pasterns. Level topline with good length of tail and decent tail set. Good hind angulation with well let down short strong hocks. She moved well in profile with good drive just not the forward reach of winner but straight fore and aft. 


3. Holmes, Foxdawn Milady Fox


Novice (1)

1. Holmes, Foxdawn Milady Fox

Young B/W bitch who was third in the previous class and not the maturity of 1 and 2 in the previous class, but shows much promise. Nice for size and substance, good outline. Balanced head and expression good breadth of skull with level head planes, correct stop and strong muzzle. Excellent Oval eye shape, well placed with correct pigment. Lovely length of neck well muscled, leading to a balanced shoulder placement, needs to develop in chest but should come with age. Good straight front and pasterns, with nicely shaped feet which were well arched. Level topline, tail correctly set of good length. Nice hind angulation, with strong straight hocks. Moved well in profile, nicely balanced, with good forward reach and drive. Needs to tighten in front, straight behind.


Post Graduate Dog (1)

1.  Walker, Borderbrook Final Straw at Ravenskirk

A Young eye catching B/W dog, who has a lovely outline, good for size, with excellent substance for his age. Balanced head and expression, good breadth of skull, level head planes and decent stop. Oval eye shape, which is well placed with correct pigmentation giving him an intelligent masculine expression. Strong muzzle with correct underjaw. Excellent length of neck, well muscled. Balanced shoulder placement, chest still needs to develop but he has plenty of time. Level topline, tail a decent length but higher set. Nice hind angulation, with well let down strong, straight hocks. He can be a handful on the move but when he settled he had nice drive from behind, could do with a bit more forward reach and was a little wide in front.

2. Holmes, Meisterwerk Artful Dodger

Mature B/W dog, who is heavier all round than winner, in profuse coat which is very well presented. He’s nice for size and with decent outline and strong bone. There is no mistaking this lads sex, he has a shorter head type to winner but still nicely balanced, with level head planes and good stop, strong muzzle and underjaw, with tight lips. Oval eye shape, with correct pigment giving him such a charming, intelligence expression. He didn’t quite have the length of neck of the winner but it was well muscled. Okay lay back of shoulder with excellent upperarm. Straight front with strong flexible pasterns. Decent depth of chest and spring of rib. Level topline, tail a nice length but higher set. Good hind angulation, nice turn of stifle with well let down strong hocks. Moved very well in profile with good drive and forward reach. Fore and aft he was straight in front, but a little untidy behind.


Open Dog (1)

1.   Kempton, Art Of Blossom Drowned In Emation into Borderbrook

An upstanding and very eye catching young B/W dog. Good for size with excellent substance and lovely outline. He has the loveliest head and expression, well balanced, level head planes, correct stop, with a good strength of muzzle and underjaw, from lip. Correct Oval eye shape, placement and pigmentation creating a masculine and intelligent expression. Lovely length of neck, well muscled leading to a nice layback of shoulder but upper arm on the shorter side. Straight front with strong flexible pasterns. Correct depth of chest and spring of rib, level topline, tail of a good length but higher set. Excellent hind angulation with good turn of stifle with well let down short strong and straight hocks. Moved well in profile with decent forward reach and drive, straight in front a touch untidy behind.

1. Rettie, Sashdan Diamond Diva in Glenfound (imp Aus)

Quality 4 year old B/W bitch, very feminine sweet girl, more Pettit in outlook with an excellent outline, substance and bone for size. Balanced head and expression, with good breadth of skull and level head planes. Correct stop with good strength of muzzle and underjaw. Loveliest of eyes which were oval shaped, well placed with correct pigmentation. Good length of neck, well muscled leading to excellent shoulder placement, straight front and strong flexible pasterns. Good depth of chest with correct spring of ribs. Level topline, tail of good length and correctly set. Excellent hind angulation and good turn of stifle with well let down short, strong and straight hocks. Moved so well in profile with excellent forward reach and drive from behind. Straight fore and aft.


2. Walker, Ravenskirk Pretty In Pink

Another quality B/W bitch with a lovely out line and very feminine. Very nice head, well balanced with good breadth of skull, level head planes, correct stop with good strong muzzle and underjaw with tight lips. Correct stop, oval eye shape which is well placed with correct pigmentation. Lovely length of neck, well muscled leading to a good balanced shoulder placement. Straight front with strong flexible pasterns, correct depth of chest with a good spring of rib. On the day topline could have been firmer. Tail of a good length and correctly set. Nice hind angulation just not the turn of stifle of the winner. Well let down short, strong and straight hocks. Moved very well in profile with excellent drive and good forward reach just didn’t quite have the forward reach of the winner.


Open Bitch (4,1)

2, Morley & Rogerson, Chikaramor Who’s That Girl

Mature B/W bitch who is the mother of the puppy winners. Coming into lovely condition after her litter. Nice for size with an excellent outline, bone and substance. Feminine head and expression which was nicely balanced with good breadth of skull, level head planes and correct stop. Good strength of muzzle and underjaw with tight lips. Correct oval eye shape which is well placed with correct pigmentation all combining to give her an sweet intelligent expression. Excellent length of neck which was well muscled leading to text book shoulder angulation with excellent lay back of shoulder and upper arm to match, straight front and strong flexible pasterns. Correct depth of chest and spring of ribs. Level topline, tail of a very good length and correctly set. Excellent hind angulation with well let down short, strong and straight hocks. She really came alive when she moved, excellent forward reach and drive, covering the maximum amount of ground with the minimal amount of effort, plus single tracked correctly and for this reason she won BB & BOB over some lovely collies.


2. Kempton, Borderbrook Winter Sunset JW SHCEX OWS

Another quality mature B/W bitch. Good size with an elegant outline with good substance. Feminine head and expression, nicely balanced head, with a good breadth of skull, level head planes, a more pronounced stop than winner. Excellent eye shape, well placed with correct pigmentation giving her a charming and intelligent expression. Good strength of muzzle and underjaw with tight lips. Excellent length of neck, well muscled leading to a very good shoulder placement with good layback of shoulder and upper to match. Not the depth of chest or spring of rib of the winner. Good straight front with strong flexible pasterns. Level topline, tail of good length, excellent hind angulation with good turn of stifle with well let down short strong and straight hocks. Moved very well in profile with good forward reach and drive from behind, good straight front. Unlucky to meet the winner on such fine form. 


3. Walker, Miraje Just Because at Ravenskirk 


Veteran (3,1)

1.  Rettie & Morley, Sh Ch Chikaramor Cast A Spell of Glenfound 

A 7 1/2 year old quality glamorous tri colour male, up to size, he is so shapely with excellent substance and bone. He has a quality head, good breadth of skull, nicely balanced with level head planes, correct stop, oval shaped eye well set with good pigmentation. Strong muzzle and correct underjaw, tight lips all combining to give him an intelligent and rather mischievous expression. Excellent length of neck well, muscled, leading to text book shoulder placement with excellent layback of shoulder and upper arm to match. Correct depth of chest and spring of rib. Straight front with strong flexible pasterns. Level topline, long tail which was low set. Excellent hind angulation with a good turn of stifle, well let down short strong, straight hocks. He’s a rather exuberant lad, full of the joys so it took him a while to settle but once he did it showed off he’s excellent forward reach and drive from behind, he also single tracked correctly. I was pleased to award him BD and BVIB. 


2. Kempton, Borderbrook Spring At Last JW VW

A B/W male who is also 7 1/2 year old. He’s a different type to the winner, being smaller and more cobby all round. Masculine head and intelligent expression. Though his head is shorter, it’s nicely balanced with a good breadth of skull, level head planes and more pronounced stop. Oval eye shape, nicely placed with correct pigment. Strong muzzle with a very well developed underjaw. Good length of neck well muscled leading to a well balanced shoulder placement, straight front and strong pasterns. Level topline, nice tail length. Decent hind angulation with well let down short strong, straight hocks. Moved well in profile, nicely balanced but just didn’t have the forward reach and drive of winner, straight fore and aft.
