Boston & District Canine Society

Firstly I would like to thank the committee for putting Saluki classes on. Hopefully this will continue into the future if classes can continue to be well supported. Sincere thanks to all the exhibitors who entered under me and supported me on the day with such a quality entry.

Class 505 Puppy (2,0 abs) 1st Sanders Parker's Heart and Soul JP Nashwa Classicus (Imp Jpn), a promising 9 month old cream bitch puppy, just at the right stage of development for her tender age. She is very well balanced, elegant and moderate in outline. Good front with correct bone. Strong pasterns and correct feet. Beautiful head with correct eye shape and colour, long neck set into a correctly angulated shoulder. Deep in brisket and ribs carried well back leading to correct cut up. Gentle rise over the loin, good hip bones, tail well set and carried correctly on the move. Well constructed hind quarters having good width to first and second thigh. I was very impressed with her sound and precise movement for a baby showing correct forward reach, light and lifting side action and plenty of drive in rear from her strong hocks. I predict a very bright future for this quality baby. Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2 in a strong Hound Puppy Group. 2nd Sanders Parker's Heart and Soul JP Northern Dancer at Classicus (Imp Jpn), cream litter brother to my winner and carries the same obvious qualities as his sister. Being a typical dog puppy he will take time to mature and fills out his frame. He has a beautiful head with lovely eye shape and colour, good front, correct bone, strong slightly sloping pasterns, long neck set into well angulated shoulders showing good length to upper arm. Brisket long and deep, gentle rise over the loin, good pin bones and correct cut up. Strong hind quarters showing a well developed first and second thigh, short from hock to ground. Lovely to watch on the move with an effortless smooth gait, light and lifting in action. Good reach in front and plenty of drive in rear action.

Class 506 Special Yearling (3,1) 1st Martin's Savuka Shaquille for Stalwart, lovely 17 month old cream youngster and that I was pleased to see is progressing and maturing nicely. He is elegant, balanced and moderate. Whilst he had a typical naughty young Saluki head on with the patience of his handler I was still able to assess his qualities. Such a well balanced handsome head, correct front, showing good bone, correct fill and stands on good feet. Deep brisket, correct rib leading to good cut up. Gentle rise over the loin, strong hip bones, tail well set and carried correctly on the move. Stifle moderately bent with good width to thighs, well muscled, short strong hocks. Once he had settled on the move he moved very soundly showing good reach and in profile shows the required smooth light and lifting gait. 2nd Hamilton's Artilily Bronte, totally different in type to my winner and is just at that in between age where she is needing to develop and mature further to fill her frame. She looked well when stacked, is elegant, balanced and moderate. The prettiest of heads with good eye shape and colour and ears well placed. She has sufficient depth in body for her frame, strong pin bones, stifles very well muscled and strong hocks. Totally at one with her handler, sound and graceful on the move.

He is graceful and elegant in outline, beautiful head with eye of correct colour and shape. Good front with correct bone and chest well filled. Strong in pastern and stands on good feet. Correct length and depth to brisket with correct cut up. Well developed first and second thigh, moderate bend of stifle and good short hocks. He moved really well today with correct reach, sound rear action and a lovely light lifting gait in profile. 2nd Davies's Zafaraniyeh Dashte Kavir, Quality 21/2 years old fawn female. She is very well balanced in outline, elegant and graceful, moderate throughout with no exaggerations. Just the right amount of underjaw, excellent well filled front, correct bone, strong pasterns and good feet. Text book shoulders being well laid with correct upper arm.
