Retriever (Flat Coated)

Fabulous entry of Flatcoated retrievers with good quality all through.

Class 127 Puppy (7,2 abs)

A quality class of babies who I'm sure will change places on many occasions. 1st Markillie's Hopevalley Morning Minuet, A beautiful bitch puppy of 11 months old. She caught my eye straight away with her overall balance and type. Excellent front with chest developing well. Beautiful correctly balanced head with good medium sized eye and colour. Neck set into very well placed shoulders, deep in chest and elbows well let down. Well ribbed up, short and strong through the loin, moderate bend of stifle with plenty of muscle. Hocks well let down. Correct set tail which she carried correctly on the move. Very free and active mover covering the ground with precise front and rear movement. I predict a bright future for this young lady. Best Puppy. 2nd Bellamy's Moonstruck I’m On Fire with Moontorn (Imp Swe), promising 9 month old bitch puppy who pushed my winner hard. So well balanced for her age. Lovely to go over with correct front and good bone, good development to ribcage, short strong in the loin. Tailset and carriage correct, strong hind quarters, hocks well let down. Very sound on the move with good forward reach and plenty of drive in rear action. 3rd Salt's Culcrieff's Ferntower Glen of Wetnoses.

Class 128 Special Yearling (8,2) 1st Jacobs & Reynolds' Secret Blue Dress Basteta for Gemswin JW (Imp Lt), Another top quality bitch conforming well to the breed standard. Balanced in outline with a lovely head. Plenty of heart room, correct bones and stands on good feet, well ribbed up, loins short and strong. Moderate hind quarters with good muscle, hocks short and strong. Lovely mover covering the ground with a long easy stride. 2nd Markillie's Hopevalley Morning Minuet, 3rd Mcquade's Maddouse Dimonds R'Forever.

Class 129 Limit (3,1) 1st Lewin's Vynesbrook Ultimate Choice, Absolutely loved this top class bitch just coming up 3 years old. Really caught my eye when first moving around the ring. Her overall balance is excellent. Such a lovely head, well balanced with correct eye shape and colour. Good front, correct reach of neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Deep in chest and well ribbed with a short loin. Correct set to tail which never stopped wagging. Strong hind quarter, well muscled and correct let down to hock. Absolute powerhouse on the move with excellent front and very strong drive in rear movement. BOB 2nd Mcquade's Gemswin River of Dreams, mature 41/2 years old bitch of quality. She look very well standing and moving, good to go over with correct angulation to both front and rear. Well balanced head, correct front with good bone and correct ribcage. Strong angualted quarters with plenty of muscle. Very sound and true on the move.

Class 130 Open (3,1) 1st Lewin's Vynesbrook Deja Bleu, Another quality bitch in her prime at 6 years old. Well made in body and balanced in outline. Correct front, good bone, plenty of heart room, deep brisket and well ribbed. Correct angulation to her well muscled quarters. Good tailset and carriage, very sound and honest on the move with good rear action . 2nd Bellamy's Sh Ch Moontorn Better Half of Me JW ShCEx OSW, quality bitch of 5 years old that looked well when stacked. Good front, plenty of heart room, good bone. Elbows well let down, well ribbed, excellent tailset and carriage. Strong hindquarters with hocks well let down. Covered the ground with a free action and precise forward movement but I would have preferred a little more drive behind.
