SPRING OPEN SHOW

There was a half hour delay to the start of the show, due to the closing of the motorway to an earlier accident. This caused traffic to build up through the town. No one missed their classes which was excellent. This is a well-run show with plenty of parking and the weather was kind. A bit chilly but dry, all the exhibits were clean and well presented with a couple of youngsters full of themselves. Great watching the handlers handle their charges.

Boxer - Junior D/B (2,0), 1 Robinson, Mrs. A., Legend Of Thor at Robinsteck: A well grown 7mth old brindle dog, nicely balanced throughout. Balanced head for size, good strong arched neck into a well-constructed front. Deep brisket, firm back, neat angles to rear. Neat hocks, moved soundly around the ring from all angles over-all very nice. Pleased to award him BOB, BP and later Working Grp.4.  Well done.    2 Jones, Mr. K., Princess Snowing Dancer: 7mth old brindle bitch, not quite as balanced as 1st. Head is nicely balanced, front assembly not quite as good as 1st which showed in her movement, not being quite as smooth. Still needs to fill out a bit more. She has a neat rear with good angles and is well muscled.

Open D/B (2,0), 1 Robinson, Mrs. A., Robinsteck A Star is Born: A 5yr old dark brindle bitch of good size, very feminine, well balanced throughout. Neat head, balanced for size, good neck and balanced angles front and rear which allowed her to move smoothly around the ring. Just pipped by the puppy for movement, but pleased to award her R.BOB and later winning the R.BOB Working. Well Done.    2 Richards, Mrs. J.A., Markinshell Pombear at Dajoxx: A 6yr old fawn dog with a dark mask. Well up to size, plenty of muscle, not so settled on the move. Looked a little plain.

Bullmastiff - Post Graduate D/B (2,0), 1 Cox, Mrs. P.M., Blue Thunder Of Black Hunar at Rainwilds, (Imp. NLD): A fawn 17mth old dog, nicely balanced with smooth lines throughout. Balanced head, good neck, nice angles front and rear. Nice type. Plenty of body. Moved nicely around the ring. Pleased to award him BOB.    2 Kelly, Mr. A., Kieztamarx Such A Sweetie: A 2yr old fawn bitch, what sweetie, and a lot to like about her. Just favoured a shoulder which was a shame, as she is of a very pleasing type.  Awarded R.BOB.

Dobermann - Junior D/B (3,1), 1 Robinson, Miss R.E., Korifey Matchy Matchy: 6.5mth old bitch, well up to size, nice in out-line, and would not like to see her any bigger, as she would lose her femininity. She is still a little jittery, but saying that she looks so good on the move, flowing in both directions. Pleased to award her BP and R.BOB and later P.Grp.4. Well done.    2 Webb, Mrs. L., Shalissa’s Into the Shallow: Another bitch just 6mths of age. When stood in profile I preferred her, very feminine and a good size, was just not as settle on the move. Shame as I thought she could go all the way. She also won AV Working as well.

Post Graduate D/B (2,0), 1 Trego, Miss. J., Amazon Breathless: An 13mth old, well up to size bitch, she is a pleasant type with a good out-line, with neat angles, she was smooth on the move. Which won her the class.     2 Caldicott, Mrs. S., Aritaur Cirilla with Philmont, JW: A neater looking 2yr old bitch, a tad longer than 1st, very feminine, movement just let her down.  Not quite as smooth and effortless that 1st which was a shame as I liked her.

Open D/B (1,0), 1 Webb & Mullins, Mrs. L. & Mrs. J., Multi Ch. Protocol’s The Midas Touch, (Imp. USA), JW: A well grown 2yr old dog. Impressive out-line, very pleasing on the eye. Masculine head in proportion, enough length of neck, good angles to front and rear. Not over-done. Deep brisket, strong back, tight feet, nothing exaggerated which I appreciated. Moved well around the ring. Very impressive over-all. Pleased to award him BOB and later awarded him Grp.3. Congratulations.

Great Dane - Post Graduate D/B (1,0), 1 Bartley, Mrs. E.P. & Mr. M.V., Primus Gambler Atelib: A 9mth old fawn dog with a huge personality. Gave his handler a good work-out. He is well-grown for his age, with growing room. He is at that awkward stage where nothing quite fits, but nothing is wrong, which is also part of his charm. What I appreciated was the handler was able to control his enthusiasm, to get him moving. Well done. I was pleased to award him BOB, BP and later P.Grp.3.

Newfoundland - Post Graduate D/B (2,1), 1 Stanton & Latham, Mrs. T. & Mr. S., Mileoak Hocus Pocus: A 16mth old black bitch. She is well grown for her age, making a very nice out-line and super type. She is well balanced throughout, very feminine and very pleasant to hand. She moved well around the ring, pleased to award her BOB and later Grp.2. Well done.

Siberian Husky - Post Graduate D/B (3,2), 1 Caudy, Miss J., Elleonia Perfect Storm at Snodragron (AI): 6.5mth old bitch, she caught my eye straight away. Very feminine throughout and very well balanced throughout. Nothing out of place. She just oozes class, and so smooth and steady on the move. Nothing exaggerated. She was a joy to go over. I was pleased to award her BP and BOB and later she showed her socks off by winning not only the Working Grp. and the Puppy Grp. Congratulations.

Limit D/B (1,0), 1 Stimpson, Mrs. A., Cwnhapus King In The North for Adellarz: A 2yr old dog, well grown, pleasing shape and type and In good coat, and moved ok. Pleased to award him R.BOB.

A.V.N.S.C - Post Graduate D/B (4,2), 1 Springel, Ms. S., Lionscourt Orenda: 7mth old Leonberger Bitch. Well grown for age, she is a very pleasing type and out-line, she is well put together and moved about the ring with ease covering the ground well. Pleased to award her BP and R.BOB and later P.Grp.2.    2 Lefebvre-King, Miss M.M.V., Buttonlove Shes Ice Ice Baby: A 22mth old Rottweiler bitch, she is pleasing in profile, but was a bit nervous when handled. Moved ok. So, work on her and get her settled she should then be ok.

Open D/B (4,1), 1 Reader, Mrs. M.J., Ch. Lempileijonan Unelmien Prinssi (Imp. Fin.) JW: A 3yr old Leonberger dog. Super type and out-line and used the ring to his advantage moving soundly around the ring. Absolute easy winner for me. Pleased to award him BOB.    2 Biss, Miss L.A., Ankors Aria: A 2yr old Black & White (Portuguese Water Dog), bitch. Pity to come up against the 1st. She is of a very pleasing type and out-line. She was well presented and I was pleased with how she moved.    3 Lefebvre-King, Miss M.M.V., Buttonlove Alfie the Great: A 5yr old Rottweiler dog of pleasing type and out-line but not very settled which was a shame as I felt that he could have done better.

As Before.    Veteran D/B (2,1), 1 Cox, Mrs. P.M., Ardhub Ar AIS SA Dubh at Rainwilds: A 7yr old Bullmastiff dog of light fawn brindle colour, enjoying his day out, wagging his tail as he went. Pleasing dog of good type and out-line, covering the ground well.  Thanks for bringing him. He was enjoying himself in the ring.
