Carmarthen Canine Society

My thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at their show and to my stewards who made my day a very enjoyable one. The venue is excellent for our hobby and the surface really allows the dogs to move out well plus the bonus of having rings of a good size makes it so good for all. Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered their lovely hounds under me today.

Whippet:

1st Perkins & Van Der Schaff, Mrs C & Mr K. Crème Anglaise’s Entourage With Silkridge.

Beautiful brindle bitch who presents a picture of grace, elegance and stands over a lot of ground. Her head is long and lean with oval, bright eyes and neat rose shaped ears all carried well by her long, muscular neck. Well laid back shoulders to her front with nice clean, flat muscle and her forelegs straight with her front well filled in. Her body is deep with her ribs well sprung and tucking up nicely to her muscular loin and she keeps her topline at all times. Her rear has muscular thighs with her stifles well bent and good strong hocks. On the move all of her excellent conformation came together as she covered the ground with long, easy strides throwing her forelegs forward and with great drive from her rear. BOB and Hound Group 1st and pleased to see her later go on to win Best In Show.

2nd Bayley Mr I. & Mrs L. Ohoka Top Model At Hengilfach.

Nicely balanced fawn bitch of correct size and presented in excellent condition. Typical head and eye, long muscular neck and a well-made front. Ample depth of chest tucking up to her short, strong loin. Muscular rear with angles complimenting her front perfectly and enabled her to move effortlessly around the ring.

Brindle with white bitch well balanced in her elegant outline and with good length to her head which tapers nicely to her muzzle. Her shoulders are well laid back with a good return of upper arm and her front has ample depth of brisket. Muscular thighs to her rear with good, strong well let down hocks. She was true in her movement covering the ground well.

Brindle bitch of correct size elegant in her outline and standing well over the ground. Well-proportioned head with ample width between her dark, oval eyes. Long muscular neck leading down to her well filled in front and moderately, bladed bone to her forearms. Ample depth to her chest which tucks up to her muscular loin and to her rear she has muscular, well developed thighs. She moved effortlessly around the ring.

Fawn and white dog who stands over a lot of ground with a typical head and oval, bright eyes. Well-made front with neat, flat muscle and straight forelegs. His rear is muscular with well-developed thighs and good strong hocks. He moved effortlessly around the ring.

Gracefully built bitch whom is well balanced throughout. Feminine head of good length with strong underjaw and dark eyes carried well on her muscular, long neck. Muscular, sloping shoulders with her elbows tucked under her deep body with good length to her back and an arched loin. Her rear is muscular with a good bend to her stifles and strong hocks. On the move she covered the ground with an easy and active stride. BOB.

2nd Kingsley Mrs K. Bonaforte’s Going For Gold Dainwolf NAF TAF.

Young dog who again had a graceful, strong outline. Masculine in his head of ample length and width with dark eyes and neat rose shaped ears. Well-made front with strong, straight legs and good muscle. His rear complimented his front well with muscular thighs and stifles nicely bent. On the move he covered the ground effortlessly. BPIB and later 1st in the Hound Puppy Group.

Elegant bitch of good overall proportions. Correct head with dark oval bright eyes all carried well by her long, supple neck. Sloping shoulders to her front with straight forelegs and sloping pasterns. Deep chest with nice tuck up to her loin. Moderate bend of stifle to her rear with her thighs muscular and good strong hocks. On the move she covered the ground with good reach and drive.

Handsome dog with a graceful and symmetric outline. Correct head with moderate width and oval, dark eyes all carried well by his muscular neck. Well-made front with shoulders sloping and set well back. His chest has ample depth, moderately narrow and his back is broad leading to his muscular, slightly arched loin. Moderate angles to his rear with well-muscled thighs and strong, low set hocks. On the move he covered the ground with a light and lifting action. BOB.

Elegant graceful bitch who is well balanced throughout. Correct in her head with beautiful expression from her dark eyes. Well made in her front and rear quarters with good muscle throughout and presented in good coat today, she was a little reserved but moved well with good reach and drive.

Well-made dog of correct proportions throughout. Conical shaped head with dark almond eyes and carried well by his muscular neck of good length. Well laid back shoulders to his front and his legs well under his deep chest. Ample ground clearance from his deep chest with his ribs extending well back to his muscular loin. He stands parallel on his muscular rear which compliments his front perfectly. On the move he covered the ground with long, free flowing strides. BPIB and later 2nd in the Hound Puppy Group.

Black and tan dog, balanced in his height to length ratio. Masculine head with dark almond eyes set well apart and neat ears with rounded tips that reached his cheeks. Excellent front with a prominent fore chest, well laid shoulders with good return of upper arms. Ample depth to his body with his underline merging nicely into his short, muscular loin. Broad rump with his thighs set at right angles to his pelvis. From the rear he stands parallel on his legs. On the move he was true coming and going, with a long, free flowing stride. BOB.

Beautifull made bitch of good proportions throughout. Typical in her head, conical in shape and tapering to her muzzle. Long muscular neck leading down to her well laid back shoulders and her legs nicely under her deep chest. Prominent breast bone that extends nicely back under her well ribbed up body. Muscular, short loin and a strong, broad rump to her rear with angles complimenting her front perfectly. On the move her strides were long and free flowing.

Well balanced bitch presented in excellent muscle. Feminine head with dark, almond eyes. Well-made front with her legs well under and supporting her deep chest. Well ribbed up in her body which merges neatly into her short loin. Well made in her rear quarters she stands parallel on her hind legs. She moved well with good reach and drive.

Well-presented bitch of moderate proportions. Conical shaped head with obliquely set almond, dark eyes. Well-made front with shoulders sloping and fitting close by her side with her breast bone prominent. Well ribbed up in her body with her back reasonably level. Muscular rear with her thighs set at correct angles and complimenting her front perfectly. She moved with good long strides around the ring. BOB.

She moved effortlessly around the ring.

Handsome dog of correct proportions and presented in good coat. Masculine head with dark eyes and a bearded chin all carried well by his long, muscular neck. His front has long, sloping shoulders with a balancing return of upper arm all fitting well around his deep chest with breast bone prominent. Well ribbed up body leading to his short loin and broad muscular rump. His thighs are set at right angles to his pelvis with his lower thighs shorter and set at right angles. On the move he covered the ground with good, long free flowing strides and he was true coming and going. BOB.

Well-presented dog in good muscle and coat condition. Typical in his head with dark well set almond eyes and high set ears. Well made in his front, standing with his legs supporting his body which is well ribbed up. Strong, broad rear with his thighs set at complimenting angles to his front. He moved well with good reach and drive around the ring.

His front has well laid shoulders and straight forelegs. His body is deep with sufficient width and he has a nicely arched loin. Well bent stifles to his broad rear and good length from hip to hock. On the move he covered the ground with long, east active strides. BOB.

Well balanced bitch with a feminine head of good length and dark eyes giving a gentle expression. Her front has well laid back shoulders fitting nicely around her deep chest. Beautiful bitch who is powerfully built and square in her outline. Wedge shaped head with high set, small erect and very mobile ears. Oval shaped, dark eyes giving good expression and she carried her head high. Sloping shoulders to her front with her elbows set closely in. Deep and broad in her body with ribs well rounded and her back strong and short. To her rear she has strong, powerful legs with a definite bend to her stifles. Her movement was even and effortless. BOB and later pleased to award her 3rd in the Hound Group.

Another bitch presented in good coat and of good overall proportions. Feminine head with typical expression and correct ears. Good front and rear quarters all set well on her square body with a good firm topline. On the move she was effortless.

Beautifully presented bitch who was both graceful and aristocratic in her balance. Correct in her head with a keen and alert expression. Well made in her front with sufficient depth of brisket and a complimenting rear assembly. She covered the ground well.

Impressive white and gold dog who is aristocratic in his balance and was presented in good coat. His head is in proportion to his size with a slight dome to his skull, dark almond eyes and correctly set ears. Muscular slightly arched neck leading down to his clean front with sloping shoulders and straight legs. Ample depth to his chest with his topline rising in a slight curve and a good fall away to his rear of ample width. His rear has muscular, well bent stifles and good length to his thighs. On the move he had an effortless, long stride with great drive from behind. BOB.

Immaculately presented bitch who is well balanced throughout. Typical in her head and expression from her large, dark oval eyes all carried well by her long neck. Well bent stifles to her rear complimenting her front. On the move she carried her tail up and covered the ground with good reach and drive.

Well balanced dog of correct proportions and presented in good coat. Typical head resembling a broad wedge shape with moderate sized eyes and very mobile large, thin correctly set ears. Muscular front with his shoulders well laid back and straight, parallel legs. Moderate spring to his ribs which extend well back and a level topline. Moderate angulation to his muscular rear and he stands parallel on his legs. He moved swiftly around the ring carrying his tail curved over his back.

Hansome dog who is square in his outline and presented in good coat. Wedge shaped head of sufficient width with oval, medium sized eyes and small, high set ears. Sloping shoulders to his front with his chest deep and broad. Muscular, powerful rear complimenting his front with his tail high set and curled over his back. He covered the ground with an even and effortless trotting action.
