Judge Mr R.J.Gunn.

My thanks to the officers and committee for their invitation to judge at their show and thank you to all the judges on the day for putting through some beautiful dogs for me to choose from.

Best In Show:

Bedding & Jennings Miss H. & Mr D.K. SH CH Alibama Knockout JW (American Cocker Spaniel).

This dog just had such ring presence that he took my breath away and he was so co-ordinated in his effortless movement. Presented in immaculate coat with the correct amount of feathering to allow free movement. Typical in his head which is well rounded with clearly defined stop and eyebrows. Alert expression from his full, round eyes and ears correctly set. Good, strong bone to his front with his forelegs straight and his shoulders deep. Deep, well sprung ribs to his body with a strong backline and short coupled in his flank. Muscular rear with his stiflers clearly defined and strong hocks.

Reserve Best In Show:

Woods Miss R. & Miss L. Penbro Carbon Copy (Miniature Schnauzer).

I loved this immaculately presented well balanced dog who again just owned the ring as he moved around the ring with a balanced combination of reach and drive. Good length to his strong head which narrowed gradually forward and with medium sized, oval eyes with bushy eyebrows above. To his front his shoulders are well laid with smooth muscles and good bone to his legs. Ample depth and width to his chest with his ribs well sprung. Well-made in his rear assembly with his thighs slanting and well-muscled. Presented in a harsh jacket I am sure he has a strong future in front of him.

Best Puppy In Show:

Rycroft Mrs S.J. Raajput’s Dancer Divaa With Trisensara (Dachshund Smooth-Haired).

Quality youngster who already has great ring presence and is so full of breed type. She has a conical shaped to her head which tapers well to her nose and she has dark, almond shaped eyes set obliquely with her ears high set. Long, muscular neck leading down to her well laid back shoulders forming a crook to her front with her breast bone prominent all supported well by her correctly placed legs which support her body well. Moderate length to her body with her ribs extending well back to her short loin and broad full rump. Standing parallel on her rear legs her rear complimented her front perfectly. On the move she covered the ground with long, free flowing strides with plenty of drive from her rear. I am sure this young lady is destined for top honours in the future.

Reserve Best Puppy In Show:

Doble Mrs J. Huckleberry Quinn (Scottish Terrier).

A quality dog of correct size and with his double coat so well presented. His head is in proportion to his size, with good length of skull and a strong foreface. Almond shaped eyes set wide apart under his bushy eyebrows and neat erect ears set correctly on top of his skull. Long, sloping shoulders to his front with his legs well boned and straight in his pasterns. Short in his back with his ribs well rounded and carried well back to his muscular loin. Muscular, well bent stifles to his powerful rear with short, strong hocks. On the move his gait was straight , smooth and free with plenty of drive from his rear.

Beautiful bitch who I am sure could do a day’s work if necessary. Presented in a good, harsh dense jacket with her head shaped like an otters with dark eyes and small V shaped ears that drop close to her cheeks. Good strong front with neat small feet. Her body is deep and of ample length with her ribs carried well back to her short loin. Muscular rear complementing her front perfectly she was able to cover the ground well and was sound throughout.
