My thanks to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge and all their hospitality on the day. A big thank you to my two stewards who were absolutely fantastic and kept things running smoothly making my day so much easier. A big thank you to everyone who entered their dogs under me and made my day a very memorable one.

Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit):

Junior 2 entries.

1st Reid Maudaxi Rebel Diamonds.

Typical bitch of correct height to length ratio. Correct head with her skull slightly domed and large dark, oval eyes. Well laid shoulders to her front with ample depth to her chest with her ribs well rounded. Good muscular rear with her stifles well bent. Presented in a rough coat she moved with good reach and drive. RBOB.

2nd Holt Cynetkoy River Phoenix.

Masculine dog again of good overall proportions and presented in a harsh coat. Masculine in his head with a good strong underjaw. Well-made front and rear he moved freely around the ring.

1st Jenkinson Beaujons Motsi Mabuse. B

Beautifull presented bitch of correct overall proportions. Loved her typical head with a dark oval eye and low set ears. Good length of neck leading down to her excellent front with her chest deep and a prominent sternum. Powerful rear with well-developed thighs and strong hocks. She moved with good length of stride around the ring.

2nd Holt Nykarth’s Under Wraps.

Well-presented dog of correct size with a masculine head of correct portions. Good front with his legs straight and elbows close to his deep chest. Level in his topline with a muscular loin and his rear complimenting his front. He moved well with good reach and drive.

1st Dalgarno Vencharno I Almost Had You.

Loved this masculine dog of typical proportions throughout. Slightly domed in his skull of moderate length with a well-defined stop and a square muzzle. Oval, dark eyes giving good expression and low set ears of correct length. Clean, muscular well laid back shoulders with good return of upper arms and his elbows lying close to his chest. Prominent pro sternum to his body with his chest deep and his ribs extending well back. Muscular rear with his stifles well bent and his hocks strong and well let down. On the move he covered the ground well with good reach and drive. BOB.

Handsome dog of typical proportions correct in his head with large, dark oval eyes. Good front with his shoulders well laid back and his forelegs straight supporting his deep chest. Good strong rear with muscular thighs and strong hocks. He again moved well around the ring.

Beautiful brindle bitch who is elegantly built throughout. Long lean head with oval shaped ears and rose shaped ears all carried well by her long neck. Muscular front with shoulders set well back and strong, straight legs. Well sprung ribs that extend well back to her muscular loin and a strong, muscular rear with her stifles well bent. On the move she covered the ground with long, free strides. RBOB.

2nd Abel Ballyoak Queen.

Elegantly built black with white bitch presented in excellent muscle. Typical head with eyes set obliquely giving a bright, intelligent expression. Correct in her forequarters with elbows set well under her deep chest. Powerful rear with good width to her thighs and her stifles well bent. She moved with a good low reach to her strides.

1st Boggia Boughton Back In Style JW.

Absolutely loved this brindle bitch who is full of breed type and was presented in excellent condition. Ample width to her long head with beautiful chiselling, oval, bright expressive eyes and neat small rose shaped ears all carried well by her muscular, slightly arched long neck. Well set shoulders to her front with her forelegs long and moderately long pasterns. Her chest has ample depth with her ribs well sprung and extending well back to her broad, slightly arched loin. Good width to her muscular thighs with her stifles well bent and her hocks well let down. On the move she had that beautiful low reaching free stride and plenty of drive from her rear. BOB and 3rd in the hound group.

2nd Howlett & Howden Rubicon’s Don’t Stop Believing (IMP USA).

Masculine brindle with white dog who is elegantly balanced throughout. Typical head, long, lean and of good width with dark oval eyes obliquely set. Muscular, long neck leading to his strong front with shoulders correctly set and his elbows close by his deep body. Muscular rear with stifles well bent and complementing his front. He moved with long strides showing great drive from his muscular rear.

1st Lloyd Jones Africaner Sundown.

Handsome, masculine dog of correct size and moderatly proportioned throughout. Correct in his head has a long, deep and powerful muzzle with a strong underjaw. Dark, round eyes set moderately well apart and high set ears that taper nicely. Muscular neck leading down to his muscular front with his shoulders sloping and strong bone to his legs. Deep in his body of ample width with his ribs well sprung, clearly defined ridge and a muscular loin. Muscular rear with his turn of stifle complimenting his front and strong, well let down hocks. He moved with a straight and free action around the ring and although he was a little unsettled at first he soon settled down. BOB.

Beautiful bitch with a feminine head and expressive dark round eyes. Her front has sloping shoulders and good strong bone to her legs. Deep chest with her ribs moderately sprung and a powerful back leading to her short, muscular loin. Moderate turn of stifle to her rear with good muscle and strong hocks all of which she used well when moving with a free and active stride around the ring. RBOB.

Elegantly built bitch who has a typical head with strong underjaw and dark eyes. Sloping shoulders to her strong front with her elbows tucked nicely under her deep chest. Good length of back leading to her muscular, arched loin. Good bend of stifle to her rear with muscular thighs and strong hocks. She covered the ground with an easy striding action. BPIB. And 2nd in the Hound Puppy Group.

2nd Unett Harvidene Breaking Dawn (Bassett Hound).B

Beautiful bitch of correct proportions throughout. Domed skull with low set ears of good length and soft expression from her lozenge shaped eyes. Strong front with ample bone supporting her deep chest with her ribs moderately sprung and extending well back. Muscular rear complimenting her front. On the move she covered the ground well with good reach and drive.

1st Lewis Olphae Governor (Otterhound).

Impressive, large hound presented in a dense harsh coat. Majestic head with his skull slightly domed and of correct proportions. Deep set eyes and with his ears set on level with the corner of his eye and of good length with typical fold. Ample bone to his powerful front with his shoulders well laid and large round, well knuckled webbed feet. Well sprung ribs to his deep chest and extending well back. His rear is muscular with a moderate turn of stifle and strong well let down hocks. On the move he went from a shambling walk into a typical loose, long striding trot with ease.

2nd Hamilton Artilily Bronte (Saluki).

Gracefully built silver grizzle bitch who has long, narrow skull with beautiful expression from her oval dark eyes and carried well by her long, muscular neck. Excellent front with her shoulders sloping and set correctly. Ample depth and width to her chest which cut up nicely to her muscular loin. Moderate bend of stiles to her muscular rear and her hocks low to the ground. She moved smoothly with good reach and drive around the ring.

Handsome dog of correct proportions. Typical head with beautiful expression from his lozenge shaped eyes and low set ears of sufficient length. Well-made front with his feet nicely under and supporting his body with his chest deep and his ribbing extending well back. Muscular rear complimenting his front and standing well on his hind legs. On the move he covered the ground effortlessly.

2nd Unett Harvidene Cuckoo In The Nest (Basset Hound).

Beautiful bitch of slightly longer proportions, correct in her head with her skull domed and good head planes all carried well by her muscular neck with moderate dewlap. Ample depth and width of chest and a good muscular rear all of which allowed her to move effortlessly around the ring.

1st Woodgate, Boggia & De-Souza Xandu Khan Schuru-Esch-Schams (IMP DEU) (Sloughi).

Handsome dog who I have seen before and he just keeps improving with age. Typical wedge shaped head of masculine proportions but still keeping the elegance of the breed with a wistful expression from his dark oval eyes and his ears carried close to his head. Obliquely set long shoulders to his front with strong pasterns and oval feet. Ample depth to his chest with his ribs slightly sprung and extending well back to his muscular loin. Moderate angulation to his rear complimenting his front with good length to his muscular second thighs and strong, well let down hocks. On the move he covered the ground with a free and effortless gait. BOB, Best Veteran In Group, Hound Group 1st and pleased to see he went onto win Reserve Best Veteran In Show.

2nd Wilkinson Rainster Eilex Among Hunacres. (Irish Wolfhound).

Feminine bitch with a graceful and strong outline. Correct head of ample length and width with dark eyes and neat rose shaped ears. Good front with strong, straight legs and his elbows well under his deep chest. Muscular rear with good bend of stifle. He moved well with an easy, active stride.

1st Searle Stonemartin Bron (Azawakh).

Beautiful bitch who is maturing well, just coming into her prime now. Lean and elegant throughout and with her bone and muscular structure well defined beneath her fine skin. Flat in her skull with her head long and lean with beautiful chiselling. Almond shaped, obliquely set eyes with her ears set high, triangular in shape and highly mobile. Moderate angulation to her front and with that typical longer length of leg giving her the 10 to 9 height to length ratio. Ample depth and width to her chest with her ribs reaching to her elbows and her underline tucking up correctly to her short loin. Moderate angulation to her rear with good length to her second thighs and standing parallel on her legs. On the move she demonstrated a correct high action and was both light and elastic covering the ground easily. BOB and pleased to award her 2nd in the Hound Group.

Beautiful bitch of correct size with a slightly domed skull of moderate width. Dark eyes giving an appealing expression and low set ears of ample length. Well laid back shoulders to her front with her legs straight and set nicely under her body which reaches past her elbows. Well sprung ribs that extend back to her short muscular loin. Well bent stifles to her rear with good muscle and strong, firm hocks. On the move she covered the ground with free, long reaching strides.

Elegantly built fawn bitch of correct size. Long, lean head with a flat skull, strong underjaw, dark oval shaped eyes and small rose shaped ears all carried well by her slightly arched long neck. Flat muscle to her well laid back shoulders with a moderate, bladed bone to her forearms and slightly sprung strong pasterns. Ample fill to her front with her chest deep, reaching elbows and her ribs well sprung. Nice tuck up to her muscular loin. Well-made rear with her stifles well bent and with ample width across her thighs. On the move she covered the ground with long, easy strides, throwing her forelegs forward and with great drive from her rear.

2nd Akehurst Tendrow Down To The Wire (Dachshund Wire-Haired).

Handsome dog of good overall proportions. Conical shaped head with obliquely set dark eyes. Correct front with his shoulders well laid and a prominent breast bone giving that crooked front, all supported well by his correctly placed forelegs. Ample depth to his body with his ribs extending well back to his short loin. Broad rump with his upper thighs set at right angles and standing parallel on his legs. He moved with long, free flowing strides around the ring.

Fawn and white bitch of correct size and elegantly built. Typical in her head which is long and lean, tapering to her muzzle and oval bright expressive eyes. Good reach of neck leading down to her well laid back shoulders with her elbows falling directly below her withers. Sufficient depth of chest with her ribs extending well back and her topline strong. Muscular rear with her stifles well bent and her hocks well let down. She moved effortlessly around the ring with ample drive from her rear.

2nd Steel & Baulch Nattah Potters Magic With Moyles (Whippet).

Masculine dog slightly longer in his body than winner but elegantly built. Correct in his head and eyes with small rose shaped ears all carried well by his muscular, long neck. Good front assembly with his rear complimenting and covered in excellent muscle. He moved well with a long, easy stride around the ring.

Ample depth to his chest with his ribs well sprung, extending well back to his short loin. Moderately angulated rear with his thighs well-muscled and strong well let down hocks. On the move he transitioned easily from a shambling walk into a loose, long striding trot. Presented in a good, harsh, dense coat.

Handsome youngster who was very settled in the ring today. Typical head with a slightly domed skull and dark eyes giving good expression. Well laid back shoulders to his front with his legs straight and firm elbows. Well sprung ribs to his body that extend well back to his short loin. Well bent stifles to his rear with good muscle. On the move he kept a firm back moving with long reaching strides.

3rd West & Sexton Bimini Night Sky With Archidax (Dachshund Miniature Wire-Haired).

Handsome dog of correct proportions presented in a good harsh coat. Correct head with almond dark eyes, good underjaw and moderate length to his high set ears. Well laid shoulders with his upper arms of balancing length and forming that crooked front with his forelegs supporting the weight correctly. His body has ample length with his ribs extending well back and his rear was broad and muscular. He moved with a long, free flowing stride around the ring.

4th Longhurst Abbeyhurst Dancing Queen JW (Whippet).

Elegant young lady of correct size. Feminine head with dark oval eyes all carried well by her muscular, long neck. Good front with her forelegs straight and with bladed bone. Good topline that has a graceful arch over her loin leading to her muscular rear with stifles well bent and strong hocks. On the move she moved with a long easy stride and kept her topline at all times.
