I would like to express my sincere thank you to the committee for this invitation. Cavaliers was my first ever breed back in the 90s and they still hold a special place in my heart. I’d like to thank all those that entered and there was a lovely atmosphere around the ring.

1- JACKSON, MISS - FORTUNAMAJOR JIMMY CHOO. I thought this boy was very typical of the breed. Good for size and shape with nothing over-exaggerated. Once settled he produces a lovely silhouette. A headpiece that is developing well with good muzzle to skull ratio and enough stop. Flat skull with high set ears. A lovely dark round eye placed well in head. Good length to neck with enough lay in shoulders and return of upper arm. Straight front with ample bone. Needs to strengthen in pasterns a bit but I’m sure that will come with age. Topline is firm with good length to loin. Tail is carried a little high. Rear is angled well with good muscle tone throughout. On the move he displays a good rear drive with reach in front. BPD BPIS

1 - SPALL & CLARK, MR M & MR M - LLAPSTTAM LUTHER VANDROSS. This was the find of mine today. I wrote in my book that he reminds me of Ch Granasil Bourbon, would be keen to know if they are related. At just 12 months he is super balanced on the move with one of the few that moved parallel coming and going with super reach and drive. I absolutely loved his headpiece, masculine without being overdone. Lovely flat skull with high set, well feathered ears. Lovely dark, round eyes placed well in head. Good length to muzzle and enough cushioning to soften the whole expression. Neck leads into a well constructed forequarters. A spirit level Topline with a tail that just extends the Topline. Good depth to chest and spring of ribs. An equally constructed rear with good muscle tone throughout. He was on his toes from the moment he walked into his class right up until BIS.

Flat skull and high set ears with leathers of good length framing the face well. Eyes are good shape, size and colour. Good depth and length to muzzle with enough cushioning. Neck could be a fraction longer to balance out the overall picture. Well laid shoulders and straight limbs, would prefer a fraction more length. Super Topline with good length to loin and a well placed tail carried well at all times. Good depth to chest with a well sprung rib. Rear angled well. On the move a good drive is seen, but in front coming and going can get a little untidy.
