1ST Thomson’s Badcall Midsummer Dream. For me this 8mth B stood out today. Loved her shape and classic head. Head of good length with flat skull, slight stop and dark eyes. Lovely forequarters with well laid shoulders, straight front and neat feet. Good depth to her chest under a level topline to a moderately angler rear. Best mover, true with reach and drive. BP
2ND Grant’s Westoncruive Stand By Me. 11mth D. Lots of potential but at that ‘Leggy teen’ stage today. Correct head with flat skull and dark eyes. Well laid shoulders with prominent sternum that just needs to fill in. Good bone and tight feet. Level topline and deep chest through to a moderate rear. Steady mover.
3rd Mackessack-Leitch’s Badcall Midwinter Dream at Inchstellie.

1ST Mackessack-Leitch’s Caci’s The Jewel Of June at Inchstellie (Imp Swe). Love the outline this 19mth B presents. Feminine head of good shape with flat skull and dark eyes. Clean neck into well laid shoulders and good forechest. Straight front with good bone and tidy feet. Nice depth to brisket, level topline. Correct rear angles and well muscled. Correct tail set and carriage. True mover, free & easy with drive.
2ND Hall’s Hightyne Night Train. 19mth masculine D with lovely head and dark eyes. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders. Straight, well boned front, deep chest and level topline through to a moderate rear. Moved ok but not as tidy in front as 1st.

1ST Williams & Scott’s Hoedun Joy To Ride to Sandti. A 4yr B of lovely type and shape. Super head, slight stop, flat skull and dark eyes. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders, depth of brisket and forechest. Level topline to a well carried tail and moderate rear. Best mover, true, flowing with drive.
2ND Hall’s Rotherfield Just The Ticket. Another nice one, 6yr D of good type with correct outline and head. Nice dark eyes and slight stop. Well made forequarters, with good bone and straight front. Correct depth of chest through to a correctly angled and well muscled rear. Lovely mover but boy was he naughty on the stand.
3rd Grant’s Westoncruive Black Tornado.

1ST Thomson’s Sh Ch Caci’s The Dream Catcher Badcall. A lovely, typey 6yr B with correct outline, feminine head of correct shape and proportions with flat skull, slight stop and dark eyes. Super forequarters, one of those dogs where everything fits just right. Good forechest and depth of brisket. Straight front with neat feet. Level topline through to a correctly angled rear. Another super mover, free and easy, true with reach and drive. BOB
2ND Macpherson’s Rachanmill Columbo. A 6yr Dog and another with a correct head with dark eyes. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Good bone but feet could be a little tighter. Good rear angles. Moves lovely in profile but a little untidy in front today.
3rd McDonald’s Sh Ch Steelriver Dance In The Sun at Skyloch VW.

An interesting with 3 promising puppies who all did their best to throw the class away. 😊
1ST Cain’s Lustamusk Star Ship Trooper. This young 7mth D finally won through on his movement and he was the most confident at the table. Liked his outline with correct body proportions. Pleasing head shape with moderate stop. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, chest needs to drop but that should come with time. Straight front and well arched feet. Level topline and a well angled rear. Good tail set but a little too proud of it today. Clean true driving mover once settled and less distracted. BP
2ND Guthrie’s Sireva Mayhem. 9mth D, another that didn’t have his big boy pants on today. Good through head and neck to lovely forequarters with well laid shoulders and good depth of chest. Level topline but dropped off at the croup on the stand although this was due to his lack of confidence rather than construction. Moved ok.
3rd Cain’s Lustamusk Star Mississippi.

1ST Sayer & Wallwork’s Braefell Bria JW. 17Mth B. Preferred her outline to 2nd. Very good head, feminine and of correct proportions and moderate stop. Clean neck into very good forequarters with well laid shoulders, return of upper arm and depth of brisket. Straight front with good bone and very nice feet. Deep ribs under a level topline to moderate rear. Lovely mover, free and true with good drive.
2ND West & Campbell West’s Gunalt Frequency by Hantu (AI). 16mth B, taller than 1st. Another pleasing head with clean neck into well laid shoulders but a little less return of upper arm. Chest reaching her elbows. Straight front with good bone and feet. Good mover, true fore and aft with drive.

2ND Henderson’s Sabsky Brno at Nikostratus. 2yr D of good shape but not always stacked to advantage. Masculine head of correct proportions, clean neck into well made forequarters with good forechest. Chest deep under a level topline to a moderate rear. Moved well with drive.

2ND Murray’s Silberstern Rumour Has It Around Rachmor. 2yr B. Preferred her overall shape. Pleasing head and clean neck. Well laid shoulders and level topline over deep ribs. Well angled rear. Moved with drive but loose in front pasterns.

Super forequarters with well laid shoulders, straight front with good bone and feet. Enjoyed himself on the move and was just a little more together than his sister. BP
2ND Murchison’s Harelferg Penny Lane via Corphin. A feminine version of the winner, lovely head and neck into well made forequarters. Good bone and feet with nice depth of chest and good rear angles. Just not as coordinated on the move today.

Super mover, true, stylish with drive.
2ND Walker’s Gwendariff Hanky Panky. 12mth D and another of good shape but slightly smaller frame, that 5mths makes a big difference. Lovely head with dark eyes, clean neck into well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm with nice forechest. Very gentle slope to topline over correctly sprung ribs of good depth. Steady and true on the move.

2ND Tupper’s, Alolfrana's Welsh Crusader. 3rd in Junior and a very raw 16mth D. Long and lean through head with dark eyes, would like a bit more depth to muzzle. Clean neck into ok forequarters, lacking forechest and depth of brisket. Correct spring of rib and gently sloping topline to a well angled rear. Moved a little close in front and not very settled today.

1ST Allan’s Glencarron Show Must Go On JW. What a super 2yr D. Lovely outline, super head and best mover. Correct head shape and proportions with dark eyes. Good length of neck into super forequarters with well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm giving forechest. Correct spring of rib and depth of chest. Short loin under a gently sloping topline to a well angled muscular rear. True easy driving mover.
2ND Vallance’s Glencarron Second Edition to Corcencone. 2yr litter sister to 1st. Pleasing B, and one of those who can look very different depending on how they are stood. Sometimes she has a super classic outline and is a feminine version of her brother, other times she has a more level topline. Super head, feminine of correct proportions, clean neck of good length into well laid shoulders but not the forechest of the brother. Good depth of chest and a well angled rear. A true steady mover.

1ST Walker’s Gwendariff Ucant Touch This JW. 3yr D with a pleasing head with dark eyes. Clean neck into very well made forequarters with good bone and feet. Deep chest under a very slightly sloping topline that at times goes level. Good rear angles, moved true with drive. Presented a better outline in the challenge.
2ND Allan’s Braidmount Dreamed A Dream for Glencarron. Preferred the classic outline and tail carriage of this 7yr B. Lovely size and shape with a feminine head of correct shape and proportions. Good length of neck to well laid shoulders and good forechest. Correct spring of rib under a sloping topline to correct rear angles. Today she was not moving well. Messy behind and a little wide in front.

Super forequarters with well laid shoulders, return of upper arm and good forechest. Correct gentle slope to the topline and well set tail. Deep chest and correct spring of rib. Good rear angles. Best mover, true all round with reach and drive. Had some tough competition in the challenge but he upped his game to win BOB
2ND Walker’s Gwendariffs Flags Are Flyin. 5yr Dog of good shape but heavier build. Good length to head but broader through skull. Very well made forequarters with good return of upper arm and forechest. Deep chest and correct topline. A lovely mover that saw him secure 2nd place.

2ND Dodd & Struthers-Lake’s, Elfrindew Yankee Doodle. 6mth D. Really liked this youngster for general outline and shape. Correct through head, good length with slight stop and correct planes. Good depth through muzzle. Well made forequarters with good return of upper arm, good bone and feet. Deep chest and loin under a level back through to a well angled rear. Gave too much away in maturity today especially on the move.

1ST Mcandrew & Cooper’s Sh Ch Gunsyn Wave Runner in Brackenmist. 5yr D who was rather distracted today but when he concentrates, he presents a lovely outline. Be careful not to overstretch him on the stand. Long lean head with slight stop, correct divergent planes and good depth to muzzle. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm giving good forechest. Straight well boned front. Well sprung ribs reaching to elbow. Good rear angles and best mover, true and fluid. BOB
2ND Dodd’s Bushwacker Dolly Daydream. 4yr B. Love her shape, be careful not to overstretch her on the stand as that spoils the outline and her natural square shape. Pleasing head, a shallow stop and correct planes. A slight arch to the muzzle which is of good depth, correct length of neck to well made forequarters with good forechest. Well boned straight front, good depth of chest and well ribbed back. Good rear angles. Not moving as clean in front as 1st.

Cocker Spaniel (Bitches)
What a privilege to judge these classes, I was pleased and impressed with the depth of quality and some very promising youngsters. Most of these classes I was splitting hairs down the line, something which is rare when judging many breeds these days.

What a super class with lots of promising puppies.
1ST Clelland’s Lochellan Pure Kaos. 11mth Blue Roan headed up this lovely class. Super outline and in good coat. Feminine head of correct shape and proportions with good stop and dark eyes. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest, nice bone and feet. Deep well sprung ribs to a short loin under a level topline. A well rounded rear with a good bend of stifle completes the picture. Super mover, true with drive and an ever wagging tail. One with a bright future. BPB and BPIB.
2ND Duncan’s Corralet Opera of Dunherl. Another lovely 11mth Blue Roan. Not quite the attitude of the winner but a lovely typey B. Feminine head with dark eyes and correct proportions. Well made forequarters with good forechest, nice bone and feet. Level back over deep well sprung ribs and a well angulated rear. Another super mover with good drive and a wagging tail.
