1st Latjeata Jack’s The Lad (English Setter) – Mrs L Beasley. 13m/o B/Belton Dog. Nice head shape and proportions with dark oval eye. Good length to neck, shoulders well back. Straight front, good bone and standing on tight feet. Good depth to ribs, strong through loin and hindquarters. Moved freely around the ring, covering the ground with elegance and style. RBOB.

2nd Thandiwe invisible String Around Clandrift (Field Spaniel) – Mrs V Bowen. 13m/o Liver Bitch. Well sculpted and noble in head with gentle expression. Good spring to ribs which extend well back. Level and firm through topline. Strong hindquarters which showed on the move with powerful drive from the rear.

3rd Elskerwoo Cloudy Skies (Clumber Spaniel) – Mr J & Mrs C Sainsbury.

1st Wooliebourne Nick Of Time Among Elskerwoo (Clumber Spaniel) – Mr J & Mrs C Sainsbury. W/O Bitch. Head was square and broad yet displayed femininity, heavy brow and well-shaped ears. Legs short with enough bone and large, well-covered feet. Good strength and width in the rear quarters. Won the class on movement, moving straight coming and going and covered the ground effortlessly, even at steady pace.

2nd Oakmarsh Kingsley Adsila (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) – Miss A Corcoran & Mr S Jones. Brown Bitch, broad in head with light amber eyes set wide. Neck of good length into well laid shoulders. Nice front assembly. Topline rising to hindquarters. Positive and free in movement.

3rd Culverwell Magic Touch (English Setter) – Mrs W & Miss K Whittington.

1st Rommy De Ubbadat JW (Imp ESP) (Spanish Water Dog) – Mrs V Searles. Brown Bitch who impressed with overall shape and balance when stacked. Nicely proportioned head with expressive, somewhat cheeky expression. Good depth to chest and well ribbed. Well developed rear quarters. On the move she was sound and covered the ground with ease, holding her topline. BOB.

2nd Irisbel The Greatest Showman At Tymora JW (Field Spaniel) – Mrs H & Miss S Tye. Liver Dog. Masculine head of good proportion and shape, ears set on low. Good length to neck, deep in chest, good spring of ribs, extending well back. Well balanced rear angulation. Moved well, especially in profile, using tail well. Unlucky to meet 1 in class.

1st Babtonkelpie Galley Queen – Messrs J & D Hutton-Baber. 12 m/o BR Bitch. Feminine head with square muzzle, gentle dark eye and low set lobular ears. Well boned front legs on firm feet. Compact through body, level topline and firmness to rear. Moved out well with merry bustling action. BPIB & RBOB.

2nd Babtonkelpie Cop The Lot – Messrs J & D Hutton-Baber. Litter sister to 1, also BR. Another pretty feminine head, good front with sloping shoulder and well-developed ribs for her age. Compact through body and firm upper thigh. Moved very well on individual movement but distracted when moving with her sister. Very promising and places could easily have swapped.

1st Wyncastle’s Saint Laurent Avec Chamford JW (Imp HUN) – Miss R Clifford. BR Dog. Masculine in head with nice rounding to skull and low set ears. Straight, well bond forelegs. Well ribbed, compact though couplings. Rear quarters strong with good width. Coat in excellent condition. Moved with ease, covering ground and had exuberant tail action. BOB.

2nd Delightful Hunter Legendary At Silverdust JW – Miss K Covington. BR Dog. Pleasing head with gentle eye expression. Well placed shoulders and good front assembly. Compact and well balanced in body. Full of exuberance when stacked and on the move. Lovely drive from rear but not as accurate as 1 coming towards me on the day.

1st Hookwood Summer Nights (Pointer) – Miss L Maber. 10 y/o B/W Bitch. Proportional head with well defined stop. Long, muscular neck into well laid shoulders. Straight in foreleg and nice tight feet. Well sprung ribs, short coupled and strong over loin. Good muscle tone to rear. Moved soundly, covering the ground well.

2nd Hameldowntor Music Of The Night VW (Flat Coated Retriever) – Mr A Wilson. 9 y/o Black Bitch. Nicely moulded head with no exaggeration, dark eye. Strong and balanced throughout her body with firm topline and excellent rear quarters with strength and width. On the move she flowed, covering the ground. Close decision to 1.

Grp 1 – Dexbenella Livin The Dream (English Springer Spaniel) – Mrs W Walker. L/W male, almost 12 months. He is so balanced and stacked produces a quality silhouette of an ESS. Excels in front assembly, has good bone and super feet. Good spring of ribs for his age. Rear quarters well angulated and muscling up. On the move he went around the ring with free flowing movement and did not put a foot wrong to take G1, PG1 and BPiS.

Grp 2 – Sharnphilly Toggi With Hookwood JW (Pointer) – Mrs S Welch, Mrs J Drake and Miss C Hazeltine. 7 y/o BW Bitch. Loved her head, good length to neck and well placed shoulders. Balanced in body and an attractive free flowing mover.

Grp 3 – Hernwood Love Potion JW (Gordon Setter) – Mr P & Mrs C Sandiford.

Grp 4 – Curlycrest’s Sweet Home Chicago (Imp NOR) JW (Flat Coated Retriever) – Mr & Mrs M Bell.

Grp 2 – Moontorn Chasing The Dream (Flat Coated Retriever) – Miss A Bellamy. Unlucky to meet 1 on such great form. This bitch is stunning, appealing feminine head, Great front assembly. Overall she was well balanced and in gleaming coat. On the move she covered the ground well and her happy temperament on permanent display through her ever wagging tail.

Grp 3 – Cherrimar Electra (Golden Retriever) – Miss V Poile & Mr P Blackboro.

Grp 4 – Quinnery Swinderby By Lypal (Pointer) – Mr P & Mrs L Smith and Ms S Welch.
