Critiques for Lancashire Heelers and Utility Groups - Judge: Penny Roberts (Archaeus)

Lancashire Heeler:

Puppy (1)

1. Hughes. Ribblespride Kruger. 11mo black/tan. Really liked his clean head, with flat skull. Nice proportions and construction, with good front, correct topline and sufficient leg. Moved well when settled. BPIB.

Special Yearling (4,2)

1. Lawrence. Foveaux China Girl. 14mo black/tan. Nicely built youngster with sufficient bone; balanced front and rear. Sound on the move. BOB

2. Bailey & Hancocks. Parabar Pistachio. 17mo liver/tan. Stockier in build than 1. Strong head. Super body and good bone. Very sound.

Limit (2)

1. Lawrence. Foveaux China Girl (as above)

2. Lawrence. Brinscall Moors Bertie. 7 yo black/tan male with good head and ear set. Correct in outline and sound on the move.

Open (2)

1. Lawrence. Hoscar Ellis’s Eddie ShCEx. Very typy 7yo black/tan with lovely head and good leg proportions, correct front in in lovely condition. Moved well. RBOB

2. Hughes. Poolheywood Barney JW. 3.5 yo male black/tan. Liked his head and good bone. A little longer in outline than 1. Moved ok.

Shar Pei:

Puppy (1,1)

Special Yearling (2,1)

1. Scott. Zheniya Gold Dust. 13 mo with super head, correct moderate wrinkle and lovely muzzle. Liked the length of leg and correct topline. Moved out very well.

Limit (3,2)

1. Butterfield. Chequerpei Jive Talkin JW. 3yo male. Correct in head with good expression. Well balanced boy with good coat and texture. While sound on the move, foot placement could be more precise.

Open (2,1)

1. Poole. Terra Dos Celtas Tell Me Everything at Coatakinti (imp Esp). Lovely 3yo female with good head and broad muzzle, slightly padded; loved her overall balanced and sound front and rear angulation. Moved out freely and with good foot placement. BOB.

Tibetan Terrier:

Puppy (8,4) A quality class of cracking puppies.

1. Rudderham. Dejaru Only Make Believe. 11mo of lovely proportions. Super head, well balanced front and rear angulation, good bone and super feet. Very sound on the move. BPIB.

2. Davies. Waterley Blanche et Noire. Lovely 7 mo pup with excellent outline and proportions. Personality plus and having a great time, which meant she didn’t show to her best and had to give way to the steadier pup – but it was a tough decision between two such nice pups.

3. Elvidge, Webb & Davies. Waterley Sweet Inspiration

Special Yearling (3,1)

1. Laffling. Araki Dipsy Dreamlover at Taxiki. 13 mo with the most attractive head and great furnishings. Coat coming along well. Great outline and liked her good bone and super feet. Moved out soundly.

2. Thomas. Kelmorespitz’s Love N’War. Nice youngster, balanced in profile, but a little narrow all through. Not as steady on the move as 1.

Limit (4,1)

1. Laffling. Araki Dipsy Dreamlover at Taxiki (as before)

2. Armstrong & Cherry. Araki Fantasy Funtime at Tizzycharm JW. 2yo of very nice type, but not as square in outline as 1. Good head and neck, well carried. Good front, attractive furnishings. Moved very well.

3. Cooper. Abeloth Classy Jazz

Open (6,1)

1. Davies & Le Moignan. Barnstorm Kimik Royale Beautiful Girl by Dzine. 18 month black/white. Good head with very cheeky expression and lovely square outline with lovely balance front and rear. Presented so well. So very sound on the move. BOB.

2. Laffling. Taxiki Causin’ Chaos JW. 15 mo of lovely square outline and very good head and expression. Moved out well.

3. Armstrong. Rigaze Dalai Gartok at Tizzycharm

AVNSC Utility:

Puppy (1)

1. Stafford. Albionspitz Whiskey in a Jar. Eurasier. Very pretty and feminine fawn girl with black mask. Balanced outline of correct proportions. Confident showgirl. Moved well when settled. Very promising puppy. BAVNSC Puppy.

Special Yearling (5,4)

1. Brook. Middanwinter Trojan Horse. Kooikerhondje.18 mo male of some style. Of nice size with quality coat with lovely clear orange colouring. Moved ok, but going a little wide in front.

Limit (6,2)

1. Baker. Smoochabull Cyrus The Viruss Bulldog. What a super young male. Lovely head with clear eyes, moderate wrinkle – nothing overdone. Broad front with great shoulders. On the move this young lad was so very sound. Loved him. BAVNSC.

2. Fitches. Samoykees Ipolitas Kisses. Keeshond. Pretty 1yo with lovely overall make and shape and super personality. Good for type and size and very sound on the move when settled.

3. Parsons. Eliterosess Niffler at Brokinla. Eurasier

4. Hkadjyj. Tempete Albert Du Royaume Des Terres Gelees. Eurasier.

Open (1)

1. Brook. Papikoi Time Out. Kooikerhondje. This breed carries age so well. 9 yo male of such good size and proportions. Beautiful fringing and earrings and tail ring. In super condition. Moved out well

AV Imported Register Utility

Puppy (3) – these classes were a joy to judge and all the dogs were a credit to owners and breeders. Type and quality were excellent. Temperaments were absolutely solid across the entry – all were full of confidence.

1. Cunningham. Kwest’s Eunhasu at Yulyeong (imp Pri). Korean Jindo. 7mo red of lovely overall make and shape. Lovely head and expression. Movement was sound and solid for one so young. Lovely pup.

2. Allen & Wells. Yulyeong A Higher Love. Korean Jindo. Cream and another of lovely type. Was a little unsettled at first, but moved so soundly.

3. Allen & Wells. Yulyeong A Higher Power TAF. Korean Jindo.

Special Yearling (2)

1. Cunningham. Kwest’s Eunhasu at Yulyeong (imp Pri). Korean Jindo. (as before)

2. Cunningham. Yulyeong Special Edition. Korean Jindo. 8 mo red, again of quality with good balance and proportions and moving soundly.

Open (2)

1. Cunningham. Yulyeong On To a Winner. Korean Jindo. 8 mo cream that gave me goosebumps. Super type and structure and looked a balanced picture from all angles. Loved his overall balance. Sound on the move. Had to award him BOB as well as BP.

2. Cunningham. Int/Ir Ch Yuleong Warrior Princess Ir JCh. Lovely 9 yo red, well put together, of good type and still moving up a storm.

AV Utility

Veteran (20, 9) Lovely, competitive veterans. A joy to go over.

1. Williams & Tanswell. Nalderhill Aphrodite at Waltzaway. Liver spotted Dalmatian. Oozed elegance and was very sound.

2. Manners. Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti VW. Schipperke. Lovely champion in fine form. Bright and brisk.

3. Dawson, Dawson, Dawson & Black. Kamarri Born To Be Wild. Standard Poodle.

4. Cunningham. Int/Ir Ch Yuleong Warrior Princess Ir JCh

Puppy (20)

1. Rogerson. Tispitza’s Damned By Rumour of Nosregar. German Spitz Mittel. Super cream puppy of lovely shape and well balanced front and rear. Moved out well.

2. Andrew. Claran Cinnamon Swirl. German Spitz Mittel. Quality red sable, a very sweet baby and super-sound on the move.

3. Dunhill-Hall. Vormund Million Reasons. Japanese Shiba Inu

4. Smith. Dolce Vaquero Very Irresistible. Standard Poodle.

Special Yearling (23)

1. Rogerson. Nosregor Dear Diary. German Spitz Mittel. Brown of good quality with lovely head. Correct proportions with good body and correct bone. Very sound on the move.

2. Scott. Zheniya Gold Dust. Shar Pei. Such a stylish exhibit, full of breed type. Super sound.

3. Wallis Baga. Velrok Indian Gold. JW.

4. Hukin. Rennkiss of the Spiderwoman. Standard Poodle.

Utility Group

1. Connett and Cain. Ch Kutani Daredevil. Lhasa Apso. Beautiful example and owned the ring. So very pleased to see him take BIS.
