Good evening 

Attached is my critique for the above show held 5th October 2025.

Thank-you for my invitation to judge at your show. Thank-you to all the exhibitors. 

Bracco Italiano 

Puppy

1.Tito Saggio at King's oak Ex Libris ( IMP NLD) masculine head, long with lean cheeks. Eyes are large, closely fitted eyelids. Correct mouth. Ears pleasing in length. Large nose. Forelegs are strong and straight, oval bone. Short neck, body is strong with spring to ribs. Thighs long in length, feet well shaped. Moved with drive. Best puppy.

Sp. Yearling

Hada Compatriota Di Bonfini with Piccorino (IMP HUN) well shaped body which would benefit from losing a little weight. Long ears. Oval eyes giving a soft expression. Correct mouth and lips. Good length to pasterns, however they could be stronger. Body has deep chest. Has power on the move in the rear quarters.

Post Graduate 

Bracciano now or never JW moves well on the front however needs more strength in rear movement. Straight front well boned legs. Feet are strong with slight slope to pasterns. Neck is short and strong. Head planes are long, narrow. Good nose, tight lips. Length of ear is good. Topline slightly sloping towards croup. Thighs long. 

Bracciano never walk alone with Piccorino heavier in head than winner. In good muscle tone and condition. On the move tended to over reach on front.

Sh. Ch. Braccorions never say never JW head has desired planes with a good eye shape and colour. Well set ears good length to leathers. Shaped and strong in body, deep chest. Rear thighs are long, muscled. Pasterns are lean. On the move has a good front step and powerful rear movement. Good coat. BOB.

Jakobstown one fine day Ex Libris bigger, taller than winner. Wider in front. Good coat texture. Well shaped feet and toes. Length to ears good. Correct mouth, lips. Moves with powerful stride on rear.

Hungarian Vizlas 

Puppy 

Lindenwood cast a spell at Madarkutya smart pup liked him very much. In good condition all through. Lovely coat and colour. Moved so cleanly on his well placed feet showing a lively trot. Moderate stop to skull, ears low and long. Good nostrils. Smooth neck into well laid shoulders. Level back, tuck up to loin. Tail carried well. Thighs are moderate in angulation hocks well let down. Moved so well with a good covering of the ground . BP

2.Solencia misty morning moved very well with a good stride. Head has medium size eyes, low set ears. A little finer through muzzle. Level back and excellent shape to rear quarters.

Special Yearling

Bella Rosa Magyar Tim at Vizselle ( IMP POL) medium bone throughout stands well on round feet. Head is lovely to handle with lean planes. Medium size eyes with a good colour. Strong jaw with correct mouth. Neck shows strength with well laid shoulders. Good back with muscle. Chest deep. Good spring to ribs with slight tuck up. Excellent quarters. Moved very well. In love coat condition. 

VizsLanya Domenko JW. Broad head between ears. Correct jawline. Medium bone, upright pasterns. Deep chest. Loin tucked up. Good front movement. Hocks could be stronger. 

Post Graduate 

Roughshoot Red Red Wine of Solencia has well shaped feet. A little strong in head. Well set eye low set ears. Prefer to see a little more angulation to rear. Moved well on front. 

2. Pleasing head. Ample width to skull. Nose large. Eyes a good colour. Chest needs to develop in depth. Level back, tail set low. Rear movement was good.

Vizslanya Vizi JW balanced front and rear. Body has good spring to rib, loin shows slight tuck up. Well set shoulders. Medium bone. Skull is pleasing in width and shows moderate stop. Good nose. Correct mouth. Moved out and round with a good gait. BOB.

Roughshoot Heaven Sent of Solencia JW good upright pasterns, Medium bone. Would prefer a more lay to shoulder. Moved rather erratic on front.

Irish Setters 

Puppy

A really nice class of puppies. Ixia Boys dont cry at Shanoah 

Ixia The Lovecats litter mates similar remarks apply to each. 

Beautiful male, has a lovely outline when stood, not overdone in anyway. Has a beautiful muzzle, Correct teeth. Eyes set level. Ears fine, set low, good feathering. Muscular neck, slight arch. Straight forelegs. Chest has depth, well sprung ribs, wide hindquarters. Tail set just right. Carried well on the move. Free flowing out and round the ring. BP.

2. Femine throughout. Has a nice head with a lovely shape eye. Correct shape feet. Has good bone. Beautiful coat and condition. Well-shaped rear. Moved very well. 

Special Yearling 

Quensha I know him well. Lovely boy. Masculine without being coarse. Plenty of bone. Head long and lean with good eyebrows . Eyes set level. Wide nostrils. Muzzle shows depth. Shoulders well placed, elbows well let down. Body deep with good room for lungs. Firm topline. Wide quarters, well-muscled. Free moving with good drive.

Post Graduate 

Henaleas Maximilian with Derrydore JW I've judged this boy in the summer where it was horrendously hot on the day. Today he presented a better image on the stand. Masculine in head, pleasing shape and colour to eyes. Stands on good bone, body, loin. Not overdone in rear quarters enabling him to stride with good footfall. To be picky would like slightly more lay to shoulder however today he deserved his BOB

2.Kerryfair Heart to Heart feminine head, well set ears. Good jaw. Neck flows into good body. Hocks are strong. In fabulous coat. Moved with a steady stride all through.

Zakhans Diamond Jack JW Has good shape to feet. Head planes are pleasing. Rear quarters could be less angulated as this made movement a little erratic. Coat in good condition. 

Golden Retriever 

puppy

Leighsham Sweeney Todd masculine, smart boy. Excelled on movement. Has a really good eye set and dark colour, good pigment on nose. Well set front, plenty of bone. Lovely body and topline. Thighs are wide and hocks strong. In really good condition both body and coat. BP.

Leighsham Legally Blonde Litter mates. Another smart pup who was unfortunate to be against litter mates. I'm sure they will change places on many occasions. Same remarks apply regarding head, topline. Moved steady. Well done to the breeder.

Special Yearling 

Shearstone live in the dream at Fivelms 14 month . Good coat texture and colour. Pigmentation excellent. Balanced in head, broad skull, strength in muzzle. Straight forelegs, round feet. Shoulders laid well. Elbows close. Deep chest, ribs sprung. Level topline held on the move. Good length to stride. BOB.

Flyngalee Hunky Dory. Shows power through muzzle being wide and deep. Muscled neck. Strong in legs. Good second thigh. Would like to see him move with more enthusiasm.

Stradcot Poetry in motion moved well on rear out and round. Well set rear quarters. Tail set well. Coat in good condition. Would like to see more reach in front 

Open

Thornywait Royal Design at Meiepere JW. Upstanding male with well set front, round feet, straight bone. Head is masculine, chiselled showing no coarseness. Good Pigmentation on nose. Moderate size to ears. Strong and muscled in rear. Moved with a long free stride and power in rear. 

2 Cinderbank Move it JW. Rather narrower in muzzle than winner. Topline level. Rear quarters have good second thighs. Hocks well let down. Moved with good drive.

Labrador

Puppy.

11 months. Good temperament. Handler would benefit from training classes to get the best out of her exhibit. Coat and colour pleasing.  

Special Yearling 

Saranden Be True good temperament. Clean skull, stop, ears, eyes pleasing in shape. Well boned forelegs. Straight. Round feet. Ribbed well. Level topline going into hindquarters. Liked the shape of the tail. Moved freely. BOB.

2. Meadowleigh Time to Dream. Excellent head, beautiful eyes. Clean jaws. Sadly, that's as far as I got except to watch her move which she certainly did very well. She just wouldn't let me go over her body to assess as she was to giddy and thought it was such fun to lay down. 

Graduate

Happy temperament on this girl. Eye colour very nice and medium size. Outline and body are workman like. She needs more weight on her to balance her out. Moved out on the rear not so true in front.

Post Graduate 

Lunarpet Tails of the River. Good coat texture and colour. Head has desired broadness and stop. Good nose. Ears close to skull. Straight front, good shape feet. Shoulders are well set. Strength in neck. Chest width and depth excellent. Body has level topline. Well developed rear. Moved freely covering the ground well. Very happy girl.

Lunarpet Black Magic Woman standing is a lovely outline. Great coat. Head is broad, clean, stop well defined. Jaws correct length. Ears set close to skull. Stands on straight legs, round feet. Shoulders sloping into good body. Strong and level topline. Loins are strong, short coupled. Tail set true, strength in rear. Moved very well.

Cocker Spaniel 

Puppy

11 months. Riondel Artemis into Lappakia Excellent movement. Well balanced throughout. Well developed skull. Correct mouth. Muzzle square. Ears set low, leathers long, good amount of hair on them. Neck flows into sloping shoulders. Well boned throughout. Firm feet. Level topline. Tail set slightly lower than backline. BP.

2.Glowhill Blue Sahara happy pup. Moved with a good length to stride. Would like to see less hair on head. Topline is level. Slightly longer in body than winner.

Special Yearling 

Deracor Diamond Glow 18 month. Beautiful temperament. Coat is well groomed. Head has square muzzle, stop, cleanly chiselled. Dark eyes. Ears set low. Superb set shoulders. Well boned legs. Compact, strong through body. Well sprung ribs. Wide quarters. Good bend to stifles. Moved really cleanly on front good drive to rear. Pleased to award BOB.

2.Ryallcourt charm of unique to Suvern (AI). Presented well. Shoulders not as laid well as winner. Body is strong. Loin short. Wide quarters. Moved drive on rear.

Deracor Diamond Glow 

Villaspaniol Gold Flash round padded feet, good bone. Good nose, dark eyes, ears set low. Has well held topline on the move. Drives from rear.

Villaspaniol Sunny Delight. Very happy boy. In good coat condition. Dark eyes, would prefer cleaner cut muzzle. Drove really well from the rear wagging his tail all the time.

Welsh Springer

Kidenoan Mark Time for Merrem smart boy. Excellent temperament. On the move holds topline well. Compact body. Slightly domed skull good stop. Muzzle medium in length, good size nose. Medium size eyes. Long neck, straight front. Deep through brisket loin arched slightly. Second thighs are pleasing in depth and strength. Powered round the ring with drive from rear. BOB.

A.V.N.S.C.

Puppy

Chilternway Allium Weimaraner. Excellent head planes. Good length, moderate stop. Correct powerful jaw. Flews deep, ears long, set high. Neck is moderate in length. Straight, strong legs, well arched toes. Equal length forequarters. Length of body correct. Level topline, slight slope to croup. Set of shoulders are well laid. Stifles well turned, hocks let down. Movement was ground covering holding topline well. Coat in good condition. 

2. Rhiwgerrig Caractacus by Melview Gordon Setter deep head, broad at back now skull. Good stop. Long muzzle, nose large and open. Neck is clean, arched. Straight flat boned forelegs. Body deep brisket. Wide loin, long, broad rear, well bent stifles. Moved really well, freely, drive at rear.

Gemswin Angel in Blue Jeans flat Coated Retriever. 13 months. Head developing nicely being long and broad in skull. Eyes of medium size. Good colour. Has a well set front with quality bone. Tail set is a little low. Moved with straight stride .

Sh. Ch. Moontorn Better Half of me JW ShCex OSW. Flat Coated Retriever smart, happy girl indeed. Beautiful in outline and standing. Coat in good condition. Well set, ears, eyes colour good, head is broad on back of skull. Shoulders set well into back. Ribs are flat and have a slight spring. Rear is muscled with moderate bend to stifles. On the move she showed her flowing stride. Best AVNSC. Also won a quality gundog group. Well done. 

Bridge lease First Edition with Konakakela JW ShCex OSW English Setter. 8 yrs. Medium size. Good head carriage on the move. Beautiful head. Moderately deep throughout muzzle. Nice oval eyes. Excellent coat. Good shape to body. Good loin. Good muscle on rear, long thighs. Moved very well with free flowing stride and drive.

Shearstone Live in the Dream at Fivelms. BAV. 

Sonham Just the Ticket pointer. Young male who has grown well but he is still a very young boy. Outline is lovely, deep brisket. Good head, beautiful muzzle. Neck has length into a well made body. Strength through loin. Rear stifles sound. On the move he is rather exuberant giving his handler a hard time. Once he matures he will settle into his stride with ease. 

Post Graduate 

Cobhay Heavenly Hydrangea JW BEL JCH BJW 24 has good swing on the move. Length of ear good, well coated. Feminine head with good chiselling. Good shape body and rear. Moved so well.

Evaluna Chasing Rainbows with Hookwood JW Pointer. Smart outline. Correct mouth, ears set well. Stands well on correctly feet. Good front and rear. A long day for these exhibits and she wasn't moving to her best .
