National Whippet Association

NATIONAL WHIPPET A, Aug 24

The National Whippet Association held an open show in partnership with Horley & District Show Society at Ardingly recently, where BIS went to Bowdonia Sky Full Of Stars JW; RBIS was Palmik I Know What I Like at Moonshadow JW, BPIS was Pelyma Certainly Snazzy, Best Baby Puppy was Starceylon Polifemo, BVIS Welstar Airs And Graces at Cryhavoc, Special Beginner was Starceylon Spectre and Best Racing/Lure Coursing was Loroli Life’s A Rollacoasta at Derohan.

What a lovely day spent at the show with such a sporting audience who clapped every class. It was a joy to see such sportsmanship. The ring was really not suitable for either the dogs or owners but all coped well with nobody falling over, particularly me! A lovely entry of typical Whippets to go over & I feel I have appreciated the breed even more than I already did. I loved their temperaments & I feel it is not my place to comment on their failings for they were few in today’s entry. Again thank you for the opportunity of going over so many typical dogs who were all enjoying their day out, I think!

VD (4,1a) 1 Knowles’ Lolani Storm Rider, this 8 year old fawn moved so soundly covering the ground with ease, masculine head with a good eye & well set ears, good neck & shoulders, lovely balance & good depth & width of chest, put down in lovely condition, showed well to win the class.
