SALTBURN & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY

OPEN SHOW. SUNDAY 13th April 2025

GRIFFON BRUXELLOIS

GRADUATE  (2)

Two red litter sisters only 7 months old.

1 Gullon’s BARNFALL VANITY.

Had the edge on development. Tidy body shape being square and short backed. Pretty with dark, round medium eyes holding a keen expression and her temperament was spirited.  Short muzzle with width. High set ears of a decent size. Dense nose pigment. Good outline and her topline was firm. Short tight knit coat. Held herself well on the move. BEST PUPPY

2 Gullon’s BARNFALL VIOLET.

Lots to like and she had inherited many of the same similar qualities. Not so settled as her sibling and as yet less biddable. She was happy enough just needs to understand what is required to compete in earnest.

OPEN (2)

1 Gullon’s CH DATIRO CHICKADEE JW OSW

4 year old with lovely balanced outline. Tidy ears well placed and dark round eyes giving perky expression. Ribs well sprung and short back. Excellent profile going round the ring with arched neck,  firm topline and high set tail. Accurate both coming and going. BEST OF BREED

2 Gullon’s BARNFALL VINCENT

Litter brother to the puppies. Also has appeal . Needs to wait to see how he comes on and let mother nature sort out the snags, often temporary, that can accompanies puppyhood. I think he benefited from the day out as his confidence increased.

PAPILLON

GRADUATE (5) 1abs

1 Fenn Webber’s  TARNOCK POCKET SCOTCH

9 months old B/W. Won the class with her stylish accurate movement. Attentive show girl and stood  presenting a clean outline with neck shoulders and topline blending seamlessly. Pleasing head with big ears. Tail carried neatly over the back. BEST PUPPY

2 Mowatt’s IOTASTAR’S BOBBY DAZZLER

Red/white/sable. Just 6 months old with a very sweet expression. Slight rounding to skull and slender muzzle. Lots of quality coat correctly textured. Soft and silky. Very dainty and light on her feet. Bum high at this point and hopefully will level off as she matures.

3 Fenn Webber’s MELDRUM REIVER MELANGEL

OPEN (5) 1abs

1 Mowatt’s IOSTAR’S PRIDE AND JOY.

Honest 2 year old B/W whose sweet expression appealed. No blaze but her other face features compensated.  Silky coat. Hare feet. Super size and I liked her balance. The best mover in this class flitting around the ring with head high and tail carried over back. BEST OF BREED.

2 Thornton’s CH MILBU CICIOBELLO AT SHEVID JW (IMP LVA)

Lavishly coated B/W girl with lots of glamour. Scores on balance and she satisfied on the going away and back. The refined head and expression of winner appealed more. Will be 7 soon and should have fun in Veteran.

3 Thornton’s KHANOR ANOTHER KATE

ENGLISH TOY TERRIERS

OPEN (2)

1 Dixon’s LASAGESSE KASHMIR.

Beat her brother for BEST OF BREED. Catches the eye with her elegant outline and appeals greatly in headpiece with lean wedge shaped head and small dark eyes full of self confidence. Satisfying to handle with reachy neck set into well placed shoulders. Front and rear angulation complimented each other and allowed her freedom of movement. Looked good and she knew it which showed in her confident style and super sound movement. Only 14 months old and am sure the sky is the limit for this quality exhibit. Presented in high order, her black and tan coat gleamed. BEST OF BREED

2 Dixon’s LASAGESSE DAZED N’CONFUSED. Male equivalent and matches winner well. Just not the precise foot fall of his sibling. Good earset and almond eyes of the correct colour. Jet black glossy coat with bright tan markings rich in colour. Still maturing and he probably has more in store. Nice to have a pair of yougsters this good.

MIN PIN

GRADUATE (1)

1 Hind’s ALCUM SIOUXSIE DIAMONEO.

Not long out of puppy. Attractive feminine red with elegant side profile. Good for size. Small ears set high.  Moves well in front just a tad close behind. Happy disposition in spite of having one eye closing.

OPEN (1)

1 Urwin’s VICKSTOCK WOW ANEEVA  JW

A real live wire who took time to settle but she pulled herself together and allowed me to see her qualities. Two year old red. A lovely size. Square and tidily built with appealing head and expression full of cheek. Ears set high as was her tail. Well turned stifles and covered the ground with a satisfying hackneyed action. Fearless. BEST OF BREED
