Leicester City Canine Society

Breed: Dalmatian

Leicester city canine society -100 year celebration open show

25th August 2025

Judge: Nina Pace (Sadiedel)

I very much I enjoyed this appointment, thankyou to my fellow Dalmatian exhibitiors for their entry and sportsmanship at this show. I was delighted with my entry, I had some really lovely classes. The ring sadly did make life difficult for all and really wasn't sufficient for our breed. I was delighted that today was the day for my 3rd judging assement, thankyou to the assessor for thier time and thier time after judging to discuss my assment.

Puppy (2 entries, 0 absences)

1st Kaal and Jones - Decoda's Long John Silver Von Schunikka. B/w male just shy of his first birthday. He is masculine all through. He appeared full of life and gave his handler a hard time, but on his individual he performed well and showed enough of what he has to offer. I preferred his overall picture at this stage. BP pleased to see him perform well in the group and gain PG4

2nd Cattermore & Richards - Anima Cordis Man In The Mirror for Kalvadene for Hafwenna (Imp Pol)

7 month old L/W male. Well schooled young man. He is lighter in type and has a longer frame, I preferred his head to 1st, typical and masculine with the desired proportions. Today he was out for coat and id prefer a bit more weight on him at this stage.

Junior (2,0)

1st Townson & Pardoe - Olilou Dancing Queen at Daymadals.

13 month B/W B, I really liked this young lady and she showed beautifully in her class, coming into the challenge I felt she was the one that would be my Bob today, however she came to the challenge a different dog, so today wasn't her day. But I'm sure it will come as she matures. In her class she held herself perfectly at all times, showing off her qualities - balanced angulation, level topline with correct tail set and carriage. Feminine and elegant throughout.

2nd Kaal & Jones Rapanooey Rosebank Von Schunikka

15months B/W B ultra feminine and showy, today she tended to loose her topline on the stand. Femine head of which id prefer a little more breadth to her muzzle, although I believe the "inky" muzzle does throw the eye somewhat. Her angulations are balanced with the correct proportion to her front angulation and wither placement

Post Graduate (5,1)

1st Townson & Pardoe - Sophtspot Phantasia for Daymadals

3yo B/w heavy spotted B. This lady surprised me, a very honest girl. One who is femine with yet with plenty of substance. I preferred this girls overall picture and profile. The ring was difficult to asses movement throughout judging, hence why there is lack of commentary, but for this girl It was clear to see her smooth rhythm and in particular I liked how she used her backend and the width between her legs when she moved.

2nd Barnett - Salvadora Happy Go Lucky

2yo B/w B who I judged recently, very showy but today tended to loose her topline and was sinking into her rear. She is eyecatching and very attentive to her handler, does not stop wagging. Love her depth of chest.

Limit (4,0)

1st TIlson - Tamilanda Rose Gold at Elabri

18 month L/w balanced B shown well on loose lead, loved her head and her sweet expression, correct colour eyes and carried her ears perfectly to complete picture and frame her face. Good length of neck carried into a well developing forechest into level topline. Carrying some extra puppy pounds today

2nd Kembrey - Dalmark The Ash Blonde

5yo L/w close decision with 1, today I preferred the width given behind on the move of 1. Mature B well muscled all through, In particular I loved her head and length of loin. She presents a typical picture of an elegant feminine Dalmatian. Lots to like.

Open (5,0)

1st Kaal - Schunikka Ifor Dream

3yo B/w male one I've seen before as a pup and today he came here to remind me that I had done him well before and he came to win. Everytime I looked at him he was giving it his all and showcasing his qualities that just couldn't be denied. His head has finished stronger than my preference and I'd like some more definition to his spotting, however his overall construction has much to desire. Throughout he is well muscled, has an elegant neck into well defined withers with the correct as per standard front proportions, including the correct depth and breadth to his ribcage and brisket. Level topline, held at all times with a good set and correct length of tail to hock. In the challenge he contuined to own the ring and willed others to challenge him. Which today he could not be outdone. Pleased to award him BOB

2nd Kembrey - O'Malley Des Dalmats De La Pierre Sacree At Dalmark

6yo L/W male an honest dog, good lay of shoulder into a level topline carried consistently with a good tail set. Correct length to his body with ribs carried well back Rbob
