WHIPPETS

Puppy (4, 1abs)

Pye’s Lolani Under The Influence at Perromono, Pale fawn bitch, spot on for size & so well balanced, ultra feminine, pretty head with lovely dark eyes, strong neck into well laid shoulders, straight front, deep brisket, correct topline which she held on the move, good rear angulation, not over done in any way. She moved soundly, I would prefer more drive behind but initially she seemed really affected by the heat but managed to pull it together in the challenge. BP & RBOB

Bingham’s Velandor Rebel Rebel, very masculine brindle/white dog. Lovely head & darkest of pigment, correct bite, neat ears, deep brisket, good tuck up, correct topline, good spring of rib, longer in the loin & a more substantial puppy which you would expect for a male, strong hind quarters with correct bend of stifle & he moved effortlessly both fore & aft. Very promising.

Mooring's Tervanty Imagine Dragons

Junior (5, 3 abs)

Durante’s Duranridge Chic Shadow, striking black brindle/white, very raw 13 mth bitch who has a lot of maturing to do. Lovely head with expressive dark eyes, correct ear set, straight front but needs more infill, fine but strong bone, lovely long neck, correct topline, moved soundly but not quite at one with her handler, she just needs time to develop & drop into her frame.

Mooring's Tervanty Imagine Dragons, pale fawn dog, up to size but has some fining down to do as he is still a puppy. Masculine head with lovely expression & dark eyes, correct rose shaped ears which he used to his advantage. Gorgeous coat in fabulous condition. Straight front, super long neck, correct topline standing, he is slightly long in second thigh & at that bum high stage at the moment. He moved parallel both coming & going.

Yearling (3, 2abs)

Manfield’s Wrennalla Silver Dreams, fawn dog, nicely put together. Masculine head, lovely expression, good front, well sprung pasterns, tight well knuckled feet, well ribbed back, stood four square, correct topline & tail set, he was moving a little close behind today but could of been affected by the stifling heat.

Limit (6, 2 abs)

Durante’s Galemira’s Pandora of Duranbridge, stunning red brindle/white trim bitch. Built on racier lines, she took my eye the minute she entered the ring. Long lean head, beautiful expression & so feminine, straight front, correct bladed bone, long arched neck into well laid shoulders. She had curves in all the right places, lovely underline & topline which she kept on the move. Her profile movement was a joy to see, her stride was long & low, she really covered the ground. She was a picture of elegance. One I would love to own. BOB

Reece’s Saleehah Stardancer. Totally different type to 1 but another nice bitch. Perfect size & my notes say “ a real proper little whippet” fawn brindle/white trim, compact & no exaggerations, prettiest of heads, long neck, good width of chest with deep brisket, nicely sprung pasterns, well sprung ribs, correct tail set, shown in good hard muscular condition, moved well but just tended to flatten her topline on the move, but so much to like about her.

Rankine & Levell’s Refton Kiri (Imp Esp)

Open ( 6)

This was a very mixed class

Wells Selinko Stargazer, brindle/white trim dog, up to size but so balanced & such a sound mover. Lovely head but would prefer a darker eye. Correct ear set, good set on of neck into well laid shoulders. Well ribbed back, strong hind quarters with well let down hocks, moved soundly coming & going & in profile moved freely with a long low stride.

Reece’s Saleehah Moonflower fawn brindle/white bitch, very feminine & correct size, I see she is a half-sister to my 2nd in the previous class & same notes apply, she is well balanced, moved well but tended to flatten her topline on the move.
