First I would like to thank everyone for their patients I know it was a long day and I had taken more time critiquing due to having my final breed judging assessment. Thank you to the club and committee for the opportunity to Judge at my first club show appointment, I had the best day surrounded by the breed I love and likeminded lovely people, I will be eternally grateful to each of you for the opportunity and North East Coat Chihuahua club will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to my lovely stewards for the day Lauren Parker, Serena Hunt & David Bumford who kept me going and laughing all day. Thank you to all the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their beautiful dogs, accepting my decisions and supporting both myself and the club.

LONG COAT CHIHUAHUA 

Class 1: Baby Puppy dog (2,0) 

1st Miss D Gilling - Talocan Polar Star NAF, A lovely baby puppy moved with drive and confidence for such a youngster, beautiful head and expression a pleasure to go over. Such a happy character. 

2nd Miss D Gilling - Talocan Star of the North NAF, Another lovely youngster just lacked in confidence to 1st which is to be expected at this age, I hoped I helped reassured him a little. Moved well going and returning, lovely top line not much between them at this stage. 

Class 2: Veteran Dog (7,5) 

1st Mr & Mrs W & J Heap & Palmer CH Peregrine Jp Chance is coming (Imp JAP), a 7 year old Fawn and cream male with lovely flaring sable ears set on a well-rounded skull, lovely attractive dark eye and pigment. Maintained a lovely straight front and good rear angulation. Eye catching mover, still full of showmanship, a dream to watch in side profile on the move. Mouth correct a worth Champion a pleasure to go over.  

2nd Ms L Hargreaves CH Winchi’s Noah Anou (ATCAU00801THA) lovely red Boy 10 years young, still moves like a youngster, nothing much in the movement between 1 who just topped it on showman ship. Attractive dark pigment, lovely glamourous boy good quality of coat, deep chest well covered. Lovely well laid shoulder set above to a lovely straight front and dainty feet. 

Class 3: Minor Puppy Dog (2,0) 

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr N & L Rubyanlo The Real Deal, 7 month old sable male very strong masculine head piece, soulful saucy expression with deep dark eyes you can get lost in. his attitude and temperament are a credit to this kennel. Typical breed characteristics, gay, spirited little dog. Lovely mover. 

2nd Robson Mrs S Tidos Pumpkin Pie, less confident red male 7 months old, its hard not to fall in love with the shy ones, everything in me wills them on to go and enjoy themselves, I really liked this boy, he has the most beautiful head and expression, good length of muzzle and a rounded skull. Well set ears idea size and well feathered for his age. Moved well going and returning just a little shy. 

Class 4:Puppy Dog (4,1) 

1st Patterson Mrs. C L B A Bramerita Mr Motown with Bratilda flashy 9 month old fawn sable boy good brisk mover with plenty of drive. Lovely head piece with perfectly set ears that stood out to me. Lovely glazed dark eyes, perfect length of muzzle, broad but tapered, housing one of the best mouths on the day for me. Perfect 6x6 scissor bite with correct amount of chin. Lovely top line, it was a shame he lost interest by the time it come to the challenge. 

2nd Emmerson Ms M Ismirelle’s Spat Ma Dummy, 11 month old red and white boy who I have been over before. He did not disappoint on conformation and movement however still lacked in confidence. I fell in love with this little boy as soon as I looked into his lovely large dark eyes. He excels in expression and breed type, lovely bone structure and well balanced. Male but very pretty and elegant on the move. Unlucky to have met 1st today.

Class 5: Junior Dog (0,0) 

Class 6: Novice Dog (1,0)

1st Robson Mrs. S Tidos Dark Destoryer black tri, happy alert little chap 7 months old, who I have admired ring side recently, so it was lovely to have to opportunity to go over him. He has ring presence and is a little show man. Excellent top line and tail set carried beautifully with a free moving movement, not restricted in anyway. Cheeky in expression, attractive hazel eye. Large flaring eyes, feathering coming through lovely and soft to the touch. well arched neck of good length. Good rear angulation, good turn of stifle. All round a lovely boy who I can’t wait to watch develop further.  

Class 7: Graduate Dog (3,1)

1st Gilling Miss. D Rubyanlo Tommy Hilfiger of Talocan, 15month old fawn sable male with a well matured skull. Ears set well but would have liked them to be a little bigger to match his breadth of head. He caught my attention at his very first championship ring side where he took Best Puppy. He moved like a pro then and didn’t disappoint today. His movement is mesmerising, he’s small, dainty and compact, a lovely size. Well laid shoulders and a good length of neck under that coat which you have to really get your hands on although could do with a little more if I was bring picky. Saucy in expression and a lovely mouth. 

2nd Gray Ms. E Rubynalo What’s it All About, litter brother to first, was a little nervous on the table, moved ok in both directions, nice shaped skull and a good mouth. hopefully with a bit more time he will settle as he’s a lovely boy. 

Class 8: Postgraduate Dog (1,0)

1st Rushton, Chang & Robson Mr, Ms & Mrs. S, Y & S Yensha’s Supersonic with Tidos an 11month old puppy of good size for his age. Superb head, Mature and well rounded. Lots of breed type and a descent amount of coat and well plumed tail. Soft in texture with the correct amount of coverage for his age. Lovely ear set with he uses and carries to his advantage. Well-developed rib with good space and depth in fore chest. Well laid shoulders positioned at the base of a well arched medium length of neck. Moved freely around the ring with a cheeky saucy expression, a real showman. One point a loved about him was his lovely straight front which is something I love to see. BPIB BPIS

Class 9: Limit Dog (2,0) 

1st Heap & Palmer Mr & Ms W & J Chirouxe Little Things Maciendas 19 month old red sable dainty male of good body and coat. Lovely sweet little feet, Balanced and well put together. He’s got a lovely head housing dark expressive eyes which his coat colour frames really nicely. Well domed skull with definite stop. Good width and length of muzzle, just my type! Lovely tail set, sickle tail carried up and over at all times which he used to his advantage. a very happy spirited boy who moves well with drive and has good front and rear angulation. 

2nd Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr N & L Rubyanlo Te Amo a lovely sized smaller black tri boy of 2 years of age. Compact, dainty in size but makes up for in attitude and showman ship, he definitely has a look at me attitude. Top line rock solid held at all times on the move, he had good pace and drive. Masculine head, great mouth. Ears flaring and well set apart, smaller in size but carried and used well. Unlucky to meet 1st as either could have been the class winner today. 

Class 10: Open Dog (5,0)

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr N & L Rubyanlo Dream Boy 1 year old black tri male…. Wow I have seen him briefly ring side and I did not expect to love this boy as much as I did today. His movement was a joy to witness, he’s full of attitude, sprit and fire. Most people know (well you will now) how much I love a cheeky mischievous chihuahua. Alongside his personality that radiated from him, he’s the ideal size for me smaller in stature but well-constructed. Strong well-muscled and well balanced. Well-rounded apple dome skull housing large dark expressive eyes set well apart. Lovely width of muzzle, cheeks and jaw lean. Lovely visible amount of chin and a beautiful mouth. Front straight sat below well laid shoulders wider at top sloping down to straight forelegs. Hock well laid, good turn of stifle. Free flowing movement not restricted in anyway brisk forceful and with drive! A future worthy champion one day I am sure! I could have taken him home. He’s a credit to this wonderful kennel. BOB BIS 

2nd Heap & Palmer Mr & Ms W & J Maciendas Ra 23 month old male the most beautiful top line held perfectly on the move. Lovely tail set and carriage, used it to his advantage. well-rounded developed skull, Expressive eye perfect 6x6 scissor bite and correct length of muzzle for me. Well laid straight front. Moved glamorously around the ring with drive and showmanship, he definitely put a smile on my face, a joy to watch move.

Class 11: baby Puppy Bitch (0,0)

Class 12: Veteran Bitch (5,3) 

1st Robson Mrs. S CH / Jap CH Go My Way Jp’s Sherry Gold with Tidos (Imp JPN) 8 year old Girl coat still glamourous and soft in texture. Good mouth. Shoulder well laid, fore legs straight well set under broad chest, sat close to brisket giving freedom of movement. Moved well going, returning and around the ring. Slightly looser at the back but to be expected in the later years. Well-rounded apple dome head with good breadth of ear, large flaring set at 45 degree. good amount feathering on the body and plume on the tail she has the correct amount of coat for her age, I don’t like to see too much as they get older. Well handled

2nd Enos Miss. P Tidos Luna Tic at Penapetit fawn sable 9 year old girl with aesthetically pleasing dark pigment, well set rounded dark eyes to match coat colour. A little shy, but sweet in nature and temperament. Lovely head and ear set, she moved well. finer bone density that 1st but still balanced. Just lacking the sprit and attitude for me but a pleasure to go over. Such a sweetheart. 

Class 13: Minor Puppy Bitch (5,0)

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr N & L Rubyanlo Next Top Model 7 month old red girl, the happiest little fire cracker! Full of spirt, Super friendly and thoroughly enjoyed being in the ring. Compact and overall well balanced for such a baby. Mature head but with the sweetest saucy expression and large dark rounded eyes. Beautiful length of neck, muzzle length moderately short, perfect to my interpretation, with lovely lean cheeks. Straight front, well laid shoulders. Beautiful mover in all profiles with good reach and good turn of stifle. Lovely dainty little feet. Coat texture soft lovely in proportion the ideal amount of feathering. 

2nd Mr C Tyson Starceylon Love Me Again 8 month old fawn girl. Well bodied puppy strong in head mature for age, would like more muzzle to balance over all expression. Lovely dark eye. Square, dainty and compact, lovely level top line and tail carriage. Slightly more coat that first but still as glamourous. Happy baby that enjoyed the ring, a pleasure to go over and moved well.

Class 14: Puppy Bitch (5,3)

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr N & L Rubyanlo Knock Your Sox Off 6 month old expressive girl, lovely head really well domed. Ears set well apart, eyes dark round framed by a lovely dark mask, muzzle of good length. Lovely mouth nicely overlapped 6x6. Tail carried up and over, would have liked a Litte more length. Top line and tail carriage held on the move. Coat lovely in texture, well covered. Well laid shoulders, nice straight front with good reach, moved with drive around the ring. Lovely size nice and compact. 

2nd Emmerson Ms. M Ismirelle’s Kiss My Fluff 10 month old fawn sable girl, dainty, pretty features but a little taller in leg that 1st with finer bone. Definitely points for that typical chihuahua saucy expression. Level top line beautiful length of neck and head carriage. Well angulated and good turn of stifle moved freely with drive. With a bit more body and maturity I think this little girl will come into her own. 

3rd Gilling Miss. D Rubyanlo Cleopatra of Talocan 

Class 15: Junior Bitch (3,0)

1st Hornby Mrs. S Bramerita Little Red Head, wow what an honour to go over this quality 13 month old red girl from such a prestigious British Kennel. On the table she was a joy to go over, large beautiful eyes full of expression captivating. Head mature well rounded apple dome, muzzle lean, length ideal slightly pointed, mouth perfect. Ears set well apart strong with lovely feathering. I could not believe my eyes when she moved she made my day, brisk forceful action but elegant and moved with ease. Held her top line continuously and tail carriage was graceful and glamourous carried up and over. RBOB & RBIS 

2nd Berrington & Smith Miss & Miss R & W Pappersley Chomolungma 13month old fawn pretty girl with the most glamours ears, she uses them well and to her advantage large and well covered. Another impressive mouth perfect 6x6 scissor bite. Moved freely In both directions, good front and drive in the rear. Good reach of neck and level top line just lacked in the body and maturity of first but still only young. 

3rd Gilling Miss. D Rubyanlo Perfect Melody 

Class 16: Novice Bitch (3,0)

1st Tyson Mr. C Starceylon Miss Potter 19 month old fawn girl, compact square, well bodied but wouldn’t want any more. Impressible head and ear placement with good lean length of muzzle would have liked a little more in length. Lovely expression mature and stockier in build, smaller in size and closer to the floor but over overall well put together. Moved well in both directions and around the ring. 

2nd Gilling Miss. D Rubyanlo Cleopatra of Talocan 7 month old red sable girl still only a baby, very much different in type to first. Dainty in build and finer boned but the most beautiful straight front, something I love to see. Good chest and stood well, Top line was level and held on the move. A pretty girl with good rear angulation and good turn of stifle. I really found it difficult to place these two on the day she just lacked in body for me but I know this will come in time. I would love the opportunity to go over her again in the future, one I would like to keep my eye on to see how she develops. 

3rd Maughan Ms. K Tidos Blue Spirit 

Class 17: Graduate Bitch (4,1)

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr. N & L Rubyanlo She’s a Belter 2 year old red girl another lovely temperament from this kennel today all have been a joy with happy go lucky attitudes. This girl was no different lovely and friendly, spirited and loved to show. Her head was lovely just a little square in muzzle, would have liked a little more length nether the less housed a beautiful scissor bite. Really nice size, well balanced, top line rock solid. Lovely length of neck arched and carried beautifully around the ring. Movement was brisk with good range, free moving with lovely front reach driven from a well angulated strong rear. 

2nd Gilling Miss. D Rubyanlo Cherry Bon Bon of Talocan 15 months old dainty red female compact. Lovely ear set, good head. Muzzle lean and of good length for skull. Well-developed deep chest. Good well angulated rear, level top line both stood and on the move. Tail slightly tight but carried well. There is a good amount of neck under that coat Just being slightly critical I would have liked a little more. But over all a lovely girl. 

3rd Veazey Mrs. C Ridgehawk Scarlet 

Class 18: Post Graduate Bitch (4, 3) 

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr. N & L Rubyanlo Miss Molly another smart red girl from this kennel who stood alone in this class. At 19 month old I really liked her head and expression and she was considered in the final line up. Head mature but feminine, well rounded, dark large round eye. pigment lovely and dark which accentuated her features. Ears set correctly flaring and carried to her advantage. good length of neck and a well sprung rib. Lovely soft coat. She presents a really lovely out line and has lovely dainty feet. Good front and rear angulation, moved well around the ring. 

Class 19: Limit Bitch (4,1)

1st Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr. N & L Rubyanlo Showens stjarna JW 2 year old pale red girl compact in size beautiful muzzle length with definite stop and skull well developed. Nice size and build she presented a typical outline and presented in beautiful condition. Sweet large dark eye set well apart. Well-muscled and well angulated rear. Nice front and well laid shoulders. Lovely tail set with good length and feathering, carried up and over. Used to her advantage to show off her loving nature and temperament. 

2nd Turnbull Ms. A Ismirelle’s Fendi at Prinleigh dainty red and white girl 2 years of age. A little fire cracker sweet in nature, dainty and compact in size. One of the smallest today but up to size. Sound mover and very attentive to handler. typical chihuahua head and expression with a good mouth. Lovely smooth soft coat texture and tail well plumed carried correctly. 

3rd Enos Miss. P Penapettit Primadora 

Class 20: Open Bitch (2,0) 

1st Enos Miss. P Penapettit Luna Ladylove 4 year old fawn sable girl won me over today with her majestic head and ear carriage. Very alert little dog ready to go and show for her young handler. presented in lovely condition she has a lovely mouth and dentation. Fabulous head and saucy chihuahua expression. Moved briskly around the ring, Full of character and chihuahua sprit her antics really won me over. 

2nd Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr. N & L Rubyanlo Magic Trix JW another glamourous fawn girl, who has the most amazing ear placement and feathering. Good strong head, moderately short muzzle, slightly pointed. Good mouth plenty of chin to give that chihuahua smile, lovely expressive eyes. Lovely deep chest well covered. Slightly larger than 1st. good rear well-constructed with plenty of drive. It was very close between the two and on a different day could have easily swapped places. 

Class 21: Brace (1,0)

1st Enos Miss. P Tidos Luna Tic at Penapettit shy duo who moved well around the ring together and give each other confidence. Mother and daughter they are very similar in type but also in coat colour both fawn sable. Similar in size and features.

1st Emmerson Ms. M Ismirelle’s Queen Of Drama, pretty red male 8 months old, moved well going and returning. good head full of saucy expression lovely reach of neck arched leading to a level top line which I love even on a puppy were they can still be developing. Many characteristics I love about the breed, lovely mouth and bite, Just needs more confidence, but he’s still just a baby. Would have loved to take this little boy home. BPIB

2nd Todd-Mccoid Mrs & Mr. N & L Monicachi Mr Money Bags for Rubyanlo Just 6 months old, I believe his first show, a little nervous on the table which is to be expected, finer boned and leaner than first but still very raw. He has a beautiful set of large flaring ears set correctly on a well-rounded head. Moved well but cautiously, Lovely arched neck of good length, taller in stature but I think he will be a lovely boy as he matures.

Class 26: Junior Dog (2,0)

1s t Messrs C & C Hartly & Fahey Zoomeera home and dry Red 14 month old male who’s top line is something to be admired, held solidly free standing proudly and on the move. Saucy little chap, moves with drive, attitude and attentive to handler. Strong rounded domed head, carried proudly on top of a beautifully arched neck. moderately short muzzle well balanced housing a beautiful mouth. A little sparkle in his eye for sure! RBD

2nd Rudy Ruby close decision between these two boys similar is age, and type, smaller daintier compact boy with well-rounded apple dome skull beautifully set flaring ears. Good rear angulation, Moved also with drive and power light on his feet. Idyllic tail carriage just preferred the body of 1st.

Class 29 Post Graduate Dog (1,0) 

1st Mr C Tyson Starceylon Checkmate, 3 year old male cheeky compact fawn male, lovely size for me, good reach of neck, sat on well laid strong shoulders. Finer in body well balanced in proportion. Dainty little feet, light on his toes as he moved freely around the ring. Level top line and tail set carried up and over, Lovely dark pigment which framed the eye complimenting a lovely expression. I loved the relationship he had with his handler. 

Class 30: Limit Dog (0,0) 

Class 31: Open Dog (1,0) 

1st Mr C Tyson Starceylon Love to The Moon, 4 year old white/cream male, one I looked at with admiration, I loved him from the moment I saw him, I couldn’t believe I had missed him on so many occasions previously ring side. Mesmerising powerful mover is how I would describe this boy, a joy to watch and go over full of character. definition in his rear angulation, good turn of stifle, well laid shoulders leading down to a straight front and lovely little feet. Good strong masculine chest, well developed. Good strong head housing a correct mouth. RBOB

Class 33: Veteran Bitch (1,0)

1st Ms C Fairbairn CH Tidos Ghost Protocol, 10 year old cream girl very sweet, still moved soundly in both directions, well bodied. Tail set and carriage spot on which she never stopped showing off, happy spirited girl handled very well by her handler on the day. Pretty eye complimented by a lovely winter nose, which I personally love on a cream female. Mouth and bite correct. How I wish I would have been more aware back then to have recognised and admiring her by the ring in her earlier years. BVIB

Class 34: Minor Puppy Bitch (2,1)

1st Emmerson Ms. M, Ismirelle’s Smooth Move, 6 months and 1 week old fawn female, full of character, spirited happy puppy a pleasure to go over. Dark marking makes it very difficult to see the well domed head, stop and expression, but had a sparkle in the eye. Good mouth and good mature body for her age. Just the right amount of substance for a puppy for me. Nice size and a good set of ears. Moved well around the ring with reach and drive. BPB

Class 35: Puppy Bitch (0,0) 

Class 36: Junior Bitch (1,0)

1st Messrs C & C Hartly & Fahey Zoomeera West End Girl, 16 month old red girl, sassy, saucy smoothcoat! Lovley expression, well rounded skull, dark eye, beautiful correct mouth. Moved swiftly around the ring with dive and presents. lovely straight front with good forward reach, another youngster with solid top line held at all times, well-schooled and lovely relationship with her handler. RBB

Class 37: Novice Bitch (0,0) 

Class 38: Graduate Bitch (1,0)

1st Ms M Corbett Saras Pleasure in Blue Light by Mandistarz A lovely 6 year old girl, unusual markings blue, red and white (blue tri) but not your typical distribution of colour. A good size, touch longer in body to hight than I would like but presented beautifully. Nice rounded skull, well set flaring red ears, sweet eye and expression, good rear angulation moved well just a little shy today. 

Class 39: Post Graduate Bitch (3,1) 

1st Mr C Tyson Yanet Leo Valentina at Starceylon (Imp SVK) Fawn Girl, Just shy of 2 years old, lovely on the stand strong stocky build, muscular with good bone structure. Lovely well sprung rib, with well set forelegs giving freedom of movement. Beautiful mouth clean dentation with scissors bite. Moved freely in both directions maintaining top line. Playful happy little girl, a joy to go over.

2nd Ms M Corbett Isabel Blue for Mandistarz older girl 6 years old, finer boned, blue in colour and showing her age. A sweetheart who was a little shy today but wagged her tail and was very attentive to her handler. she has a lovely dark eye and large ears and moved well. 

Class 40: Limit Bitch (1,0)

1st Ms. C Fairburn Tidos Secret Service, very pretty girl, 2 years old sweety expression which I love about the breed, attractive eye, set proportionally on a well-rounded head, definite stop, good pigment. Was a treasure to go over on the table, very good length of muzzle housing a lovely mouth. Move swiftly around the ring using her large well set ear to her advantage.  

Class 41: Open Bitch (1,0)

1st Miss W Smith, Moltobello Miss Myrtle of Hulawawas – Blue tri, beautiful 4 year old female, powerful, forceful, brisk, she moves with confidence and attitude. Exceptional mover who drive around the ring and turn towards on the return is enchanting to witness. Larger in stature but elegant and balanced non the less. Paw perfect in the stand and top line and tail set carrier correctly on the move. Feminine saucy expressive eye, lovely rounded skull with a good length of muzzle housing an impressive 6x6 scissors bite. Had to award her BOB on the day, just a shame she lost her spark toward the end of a long day. BOB

Class 42: Brace (2,0) 

1st Messrs C & C Hartly & Fahey - lovely pair, similar in build and size, Super top lines and tail carriage, moved in perfect harmony together. Brother and sister duo.

2nd Ms M Corbett – both enjoyed the experience together and give each other confidence, moved well as a team, slightly different in type and build.
