Firstly I would like to thank the Jean Rundle and her loyal committee for the invite to judge at this well respected Terrier Show. There was a minutes silence for Francis Rundle & Dave Lee, both were well respected Terrier enthusiast, and will miss our ring side chats and their support throughout my judging career. My thanks to my Steward Neil Straw, for keeping the ring in order and also to the exhibitors for entering their dogs.

Dandie Dinmont Terrier

Junior (2,0a)

1st Harcourt -Morris’s Dainty Dandies Explorer at Lenacourt (NL IMP)

10 month, pepper dog full of personality. His head is strong and well developed with broad skull, and rich dark eye. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, ample bone and substance, pleasing tail set, moved at a steady pace with good reach and drive. BP

2nd Lenaghan’s Leesam Mr Blue

7 month, mustard. I liked this dogs overall outline, he has long low body, ribs round and well sprung with correct rise over loin. Chest deep and forequarters set wide apart. Eyes round and set well, with strongly made muzzle and large black nose. Moved well, although a little unsettled with the noise in the hall.

1st Tinsley’s Ch Cloverwood Happy Daze

Masculine mustard dog, strong in head with dark appealing eye, pendulous ears set wide apart with correct feathering and excellent dentition. Wide front, well boned, lovely lay of shoulder and rear angulation, rise over loin, leading to a slight drop to tail with correct set on. Presented in a crisp double coat, and a profuse top knot. Movement was effortless with good reach and drive. BOB

2nd Jackman’s Dryfevalley Willow at Carnkie

Another quality dog, dark hazel eye giving an affectionate expression, with a broad skull of good depth. Forequarters set wide apart, good rear angulation. Presented in a tidy jacket of good texture. Moved well. Please consider waiting for your critique to be written before leaving the ring.

1st Vickers & Dams’s Belfox Fresh Ink TAF

Smart bitch that oozes personality. Her front is straight, standing on tight feet, with a good lay of shoulder, leading to a short level back with good strength. Pleasing expression with dark small eye, and moderate chiselling. Her hindquarters have good muscle tone with hocks well let down, and parallel. Moved freely with good reach and drive. BOB

2nd Vickers & Dams’s Belfox Wxeres TAF

Masculine dog with small well set ears, jaws strong and muscular with pleasing small eye. He has a good length of neck, deep chest and ribs well back, tail on top and powerful hindquarters. Preferred the topline of the winner.

1st Wynter’s Ch Robelroy Many Dreams at Furlongfox SHCEX

What a smart young veteran. Beautifully balanced with clean shoulders and a lovely layback. Elbows are perpendicular to body, ribs are deep and well sprung, and hindquarters are powerful with excellent rear angulation. Pleasing head proportions with neat ears folded above skull with correct bite. BOB

1st Wooley’s Partisky Espionage at Challeymead.

Long head with a good width and a strength of muzzle. His ears are set well with the start of his ear fringes. His back is long and level, ribcage oval and fairly short in loin. Moved well, just needs time to mature. BP

1st Shuttleworth’s Wondersky Wish You Were Here at Whicheeta Imp USA

Although a little nervous there was lot to like about her. She is balanced with pleasing height to length ratio and is long and low. Her head has strength with slight stop and prick ears which she uses well. She carries her tail low, and moves with good propulsion keeping her topline on the move. BOB

Haydon & Hurrion’s Villassa Quota of Kisses at Earthtaw

What a confident bundle of joy. This bitch has a broad skull with correct wedge shape muzzle. Her eyes are oval shaped and dark, with medium v shaped ears. She has a moderate length of neck into sloping shoulders, ribs are well sprung, and she is short coupled, and strong hindquarters. One to watch for the future. BP

Dark keen eye with alert expression, well bodied, with a level topline and good tail set. Would prefer a shorter in loin. Moved ok.

1st Haydon’s Earthtaw Lincoln ShCex

One I have judged before and is still a real showman. Compact dog of good substance, skull broad, with good width between ears, and dark eyes. Neck strong, chest deep, good front and rear angulation, short coupled, good tailset, stifles well bent and hocks well let down. Keeps his topline on the move. Presented in beautiful double coat. BOB

1st Vicker & Dams’s Jodean Statesman

Smart young dog with typical fearless character. He has a good length to his head with correct size of ears. His neck is slightly arched, shoulders well laid back and has a lovely straight front, His back is short and has good rear angulation, bend of stifle, and hocks are low to the ground. Movement straight, and effortless. BOB

2nd Vickers & Dams’s Renevis Rambo at Jodean

Another smart dog, with many of the same attributes. He has a good strength to his jaw, and correct head proportions. He is well bodied, with short back and muscular hindquarters.Leg & head furnishings plentiful. Moved freely.

Very smart young bitch, with real ring presence. I liked her overall balance with excellent front and rear angulation. She has a flat skull with well-placed ears. Her front is straight and she has a good depth to her ribs, muscular loin and is short coupled. Moved freely. BOB, BP. Pleased to see her go RBIS & BPIS

1st McFadden’s Kebulak Velvet Rose at Kefoxini – Kerry Blue Terrier

Beautiful young bitch, with a well-balanced head, slight stop and correct bite with large teeth. Her jaw is strong and deep, and she has medium v shaped ears which she uses well. Her neck has enough reach and her shoulders are flat, and she has a good depth to her ribs. Hindquarters are muscular and well developed. Moved straight and with drive.

2nd Warner’s Ch Talanors Time for Fun ShCEx

Lots to like about this dog, he is elegant but well bodied and presents a balanced profile with a typical wedged shaped head, dark eye and good ear set. His front is narrow and deep with straight forelegs, his ribs are well sprung with correct arch over loin. Moved well, although a little unsettled with his ears today.

1st Tilley’s Janeyjimjams Star at Starzak ShCM SCWT

Her head is medium in width, with a well-defined stop, and v-shaped ears. Her neck is strong and muscular and has a good lay of shoulder, she is compact in body, with ribs well sprung and is short coupling. Her hindquarters are powerful, with hocks well let.

2nd Jackman;s Dryfevalley Golden Lullaby at Carnkie - Dandie Dinmont Terrier

She has a kind eye, with strong jaw, a well domed forehead covered in top knot. She has enough bone and good body length with a pleasing topline. Presented in a tidy double coat. Not the most cooperative dog, but so well handled, keeping the dogs attention to get the best performance.

1st Satherley’s Ch Silkcroft sky Full of Stars ShCM IJCH- SCWT

Unbelievable, she denies her age, entering the ring with so much enthusiasm, she puts some youngsters to shame. Once settled she has super reach and drive. Excellent angles, ribbing and is well-muscled throughout. She has a square muzzle with good head proportions, V shaped ears folded close to cheeks. Coat in excellent condition with soft and silky loose waves.

2nd Harcourt- Morris’s Int Ch Dainty Dandies Royal Dutch Emma for Lenacourt VW Dandie Dinmont Terrier

Another denying her age, she has a good length of neck, full round eyes set wide apart. Her ears are pendulous and set wide apart. Forelegs set wide apart with good muscle. Ribs are well sprung, and back having correct rise over the loin. Stifles angulated with hocks well let down. Moved ok.

1st Samson’s Tarkaswell Time Traveller JW - Border Terrier

Has matured nicely since I last judged this dog. She has a keen well set eye with a lovely expression. Pleasing length of neck, shoulders and forechest. She has compact small feet with firm pasterns. Presented in tidy blue and tan jacket, with a thick pliable pelt. Moved freely.

2nd Hoare’s Glenaffric Starlit Magic - Scottish Terrier

A compact well boned brindle, this bitch has a long, flat head with a good depth of foreface, dark brown eyes and well set ears. She has good ribbing is short coupled and has powerful hindquarters. Coat of correct texture, but could be a bit tidier.

1st Ch Orangebox A New Hope at Itasaso ShCEx – Border Terrier

Could not deny her this class, good head proportions with short strong muzzle, dark eye and correct scissor bite. Her front is straight with forelegs placed under body standing on strong pasterns, with good body depth and ribs well back. She is spannable, strong in loin, has muscular racy hindquarters, with a thick pliable pelt. Presented in a beautiful harsh double coat. Moves effortless.

2nd Warner’s Ch Talanors Time for Fun ShCEx – Manchester Terrier
