GREAT DANES

Thank you to the committee for giving me the opportunity to judge at their Centenary Show, ably assisted in the ring by Donald and Janet, I thank you both.

Very impressed with the quality of Great Danes that I had the pleasure to judge and thank the exhibitors for their entry.

Class 298 PUPPY

1st MR D SIMPSON, RENESCENT BEWITCHED - 11 MONTH BLACK DOG. BEST PUPPY, BEST OF BREED & WORKING PUPPY GROUP 3.

Has real presence as soon as he walked into the ring. Super head with good depth to muzzle, super dark eyes of good shape. Good arched neck into well laid-back shoulders, with elbows well tucked. Excellent top line that he maintained on his very fluent and well-balanced movement with drive and good reach. He is of good size and whilst clearly a dog he retains the elegance of a Great Dane. Handsome boy. Very bright future.

2nd MRS R A WIGHT & MISS J CRANFIELD, ZEFATHER’S TWO FACES WITH IRIEUSDANE - 9 MONTH FAWN DOG.

Another excellent representation of the breed. Lovely black mask and developing head, dark eye. Good arched neck. Excellent topline and lovely shape in profile. Tight catlike feet. Again, of good size. Only lost out to the maturity of our class winner. However, I am sure he will go on to great success.

2nd MS M COPE & MR R THORN, FONBLANQUE FIONA - 17 Month Harlequin Bitch.

Very well-presented happy girl, with her white being white! Lovely head and foreface and good width of muzzle, dark eye. Good neck and lay of shoulders. Developing a good chest with good tuck up. Well boned, straight front and back, lovely feet. Moved soundly commanding the ring.

Excellent quality girl, lovely black mask and length of foreface. Beautiful expression and feminine head. Dark eye of correct shape. Pleasing neck into well laid-back shoulders and super topline. Of good bone, straight front and back. Good feet and so well presented.
